If you are playing against cpu, sure. But the cpu cant predict how a real person will hit so you have to get creative and pay attention to their swinging habits
Using button is more RNG, basically it all depends on the card/player ratings. analog/pin-point gives the user more control on how the pitch is thrown.
I use meter is more realistic to can control the velocity of pitches. Pinpoint and analog is just top speed of pitching. You have to change speeds that’s how you get strikeouts and learn to pitch backwards
If you perfect perfect on pinpoint it will be better than perfect on Analog. If you want to be the best possible pitcher you need to be using pinpoint.
If you get a perfect pitch on analog and meter, you can put it exactly where you want it. Pinpoint pitching just gives you more control for when you make a mistake. If you're gesture is only 90% accurate, you control where it misses so it doesn't go over the heart of the plate. Pinpoint pitching is good in theory, ot just isn't consistent. You can do the exact same thing 3 times and get 3 different results. SDS said they are going to fix it. So it should be good soon
Do you have tips for throwing the cutter with Rivera? I have followed your guide here on placement vs righties or lefties, but the cutter seems ineffective in this game even with 99 control and break. Example facing a lefty, I sometimes throw it FAR inside, so far inside that it’s 0.001 inches away from hitting the batter - yet I’ve had multiple people online still make contact and smash it for a HR against Rivera. It got so bad that my ERA for Rivera got up to 6 ERA (while rest of my bullpen was average of 2.30). How are so many people able to make contact so easily against cutters, even when thrown WAY out of the zone? They weren’t expecting it either as I was changing locations/pitches constantly. But as soon as I use the cutter with Rivera people (even bad players) hit so well against it.... Any further tips for cutter (especially Rivera) ? I do much better using Rivera sinker and slider. His cutter being 97mph is easier to hit than his 4 seam fastball at 98mph. I don’t understand. Does the break of the cutter somehow drastically improve contact against it? Rivera’s cutter is arguably the best pitch in baseball history but it’s very weak and counter productive often in this game

Hey man I’m new to the game like you and ik how you feel. I think if you go into RTTS and go to your player, on the bottom right there will be 3 icons, the middle one is a ball and should say change pitches. Sorry if it doesn’t help but if seen it there before, Good Luck!
@@Themindlair yeah it's just listing the ones you have. I did find a work around. You can replace pitches in between games, so I just keep resetting the app till it shows a pitch i want. Do that 3 times and wallah... also I'm 4 games into the majors and still no 4th pitch... I'm really starting to question this year's game.

The more you power up a pitch, the more energy your pitcher looses over the duration of the game. So you want to use a little energy per pitch and you won’t see a dropoff in speed. I did this and I’ve thrown so many shutouts and 11 no hitters in my career mode. As far as pitches go it’s entirely up to you

I swear in my opinion this year‘s game fucking sucks! I’m struggling left and right wid pitching and batting!! Somehow all of my pictures end up in the middle of the strike zone even when I’m not even aiming for it or it says good timing For batting and it’s still a ground out or a pop up or line out! I tried changing the settings for camera angle and other stuff and I still can’t hit for shit! Like WTF! It’s either too early good or too late! I’ve played on all star since 2018!
Can you do a video on how the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 you can keep cpu batters from taking each at bat to 20 pitches. It Gets kind of old having an 0-2 count turn into 3-2 with 13 foul balls

You have "training sessions" before playing games, and that menu should give you an option to switch

How does the pitchers energy refill? Have no pitchers I can use on my team their all completely empty

When I select a pitch. There’s a little icon that flashes above the pitching meter. This causes me to pitch with the meter disappearing. Why is that?

Red is if you are throwing in the strike zone and blue is throwing out of the strike zone.

I seriously hate pin point pitching. It is the jankiest, most unreliable mechanic I’ve ever used in a video game.

@@csmith9684 I gave up on the show. The only things it does better than 2K is the fielding and presentation otherwise 2K is still the superior game.
