£500 Reward, an Australian film released in 1918, was Renée Adorée's film debut. Her career was abruptly halted when she was afflicted with tuberculosis in 1930. Three years later, the disease would take her life at the young age of 35. Tony, thanks for another great video!

Just found your channel , in Australia we don’t really have these mausoleums so it’s a novelty to see the beautiful marble architecture, I’ll be waiting for your next vlog with anticipation and going through your back catalogue with enjoyment
Like your videos but I think they would be better if you could lay down your narration audio track in post. That would cut out the very annoying noises that come from you handling and moving the camera. Or maybe an external lapel microphone that would only pick up your voice as you narrate on the fly. Thanks for the content.
My sister and I visited the mausoleum and when we got to Bugsy Seigel's crypt, the lights started flickering. The hair on my arms and neck stood up! I am enjoying your tour through Hollywood Forever. I just found your vlog and subscribed to it!
Great walking tour, thank you very much Tony. I really like those old style name plates on the crypt covers. Bugsey Siegel's crypt was interesting, so was Clifton Webb's. I have also heard stories about his ghost 👻 roaming that corridor. I am sure he is not alone. It would be interesting, if a person could be allowed to spend the night 🌙 there, with EVP equipment, to see what they would find. Both mausoleums are supercool, this is one of your best videos, thank you very much again Tony. 😊
@cryptdoor I very much do, thank you very much for getting back to me. I may not always watch them when they first come out, but I will watch them, eventually. It depends on how busy I am. Have a great day.
Thank you for the tour. I like the lipstick stains, its like a testament to Benny's enduring legacy. How many more years will the ladies be wanting to kiss his stones in the future? Cremation niches are always so cool, Dick Dale's is the best I've seen yet.
I’ve heard about Clifton Webb haunting the mausoleum - I just wonder why he would choose to haunt there. I guess we’ll never know! Well done with respect - thank you!!
Charlie Chaplin, Jr's paternal grandmother, Hannah Chaplin, (Charlie Sr's mother) is also buried at HFC. She is located in the eastern part of the cemetery, east of Clark Lake, behind the Douras Family mausoleum (where Marion Davies is interred).
Judy had such a hard life. I honestly feel bad for her. She was great actress. Francis you were a great actress, but I'm sorry that you made the decision that you did. That's what Hollywood does to its stars.
Correction on George D. Wallace's info; his Rocketman costume didnt inspire Disney's "The Rocketeer" costume, worn by Billy Campbell, BUT inspired graphic designer, comic book creator, (the late) Dave Stevens, to create "The Rocketeer" comic back in 1982.
Before she was moved to California, Judy Garland was in a rather non special mausoleum crypt at the Ferncliff Mausoleum in New York. Nothing special there. I guess Liza Minelli was behind having her moved and her crypt upgraded to become a fan mecca.
It was her daughter Lorna and son Joey who had her moved there. They both will be buried next to her. Not sure if Liza is also going to be interned there.
Great walk amongst the famous and infamous , thank you for taking me along. There are no such things/beings as ghosts, they simply do not exist. Clifton Webb died and he does not haunt this place or any other. Billions of people have died/passed away whatever, there has never been even one proven substantiated fact of their existence, not one!!🙃🙂🙃
Can’t speak for all cemeteries, but….. Perpetual or endowment care A cemetery will likely charge a maintenance fee to cover upkeep of the graves and grounds. This fee, often 5% to 15% of the plot price, will be added into the cost of the grave or entombment space, though a few cemeteries will bill the family annually instead. I know for sure in South San Francisco by me there’s a Cemetery that charges the fee, but put it into a savings account where it gains interest. I would assume that’s the same. They probably put it somewhere where it makes money.
I'm new to your Channel. I know about Ms. Judy Garland being interred here in Hollywood Forever, She was buried in New York in 1969.I'm very Curious are there Any Black Celebrities that are buried here as well. And if they are, Can you put it in your next Video.Once, I read the Biography of Ms. Hattie McDaniel wanted to be Buried in Hollywood Forever, In 1952 But couldn't because she was Black, The Owner at that time, REFUSED For her be Buried there. I believe there is a plat of some kind. It's Just a Shame, That Her Last Wishes were not carried out, As she would have Wanted. Rip Always 🙏💙🙏❤️💙🙏❤️💙

HFC is historically known to be haunted. Clifton Webb's apparition has been countless times by not only tourists but the current owner of HFC, Tyler Cassity, maintenance staff, and even a film crew in the early 90s, which they also caught on camera. Valentino's ghost has been seen walking the grounds then passing through the south wall into Paramount Studios, which was the studios he was under contract with. And the area he has been seen going into was where they filmed the outside desert scenes of "The Shiek." Why would they?

Another home run video. Thanks for bringing this to us

The area where I grew up is 45 miles from where Judy Garland was born.
That was messed up with Bugsy having a bullet left at his grave, when he was murdered by a hail of bullets! Good video!
This would be Really interesting if Judy wrote herself a note and signed it!!😮

The front panel of Clifton Webb's crypt used to be loose; we used to always "tip" the panel when we visited.
Oh wow… looks like it’s been fixed although I didn’t look super super close
I love Clifton Webb.

Thanks!

From what I know, he haunts there because he never got over the death of his mother who he's buried next to.
@@trinadolbeare1585 was she buried there before or after he died? Does he not know she’s there with him?
Thank you for the info Trina. It’s sad to think that he’s still mourning her in the afterlife.
She passed 6 years before him. He was an only child, never married nor had any children.

Do not forget her multitude of movies with mickey rooney before.
Yeah there were other people actually inside of there so I really wasn’t trying to be too loud or talk too much.
I guess she was actually moved there in 2017.
Next time you are in Hollywood forever can you film Paul Reubens spot
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, so I don’t get to Hollywood Forever all the time. But next time I go, yes definitely
I didn't know Bugsy and the others were jewish I thought members of The Family were Italian with Americanized names.

You wouldn't have wanted to call him "bugsy" to his face. That is slang for "nuts". He had the reputation of being a little crazy.
