My brother is buried there. I never knew him, he was before me, but died as an infant. The people at Valhalla were so very kind. I don't live in the area any longer, but they found his grave, cleaned it up, put flowers around it before taking a photo of it for me. Perhaps one day, I 'll go back to the old stomping grounds and visit him in person.
When I was 8, we lived 4 houses down from Valhalla on N Valley. At the time the plane crashed, I managed to get a small piece of the wreckage and bring it home to show it off. Well, my mother, was mortified and insisted that I take it back to the crash site. What a memory
This is hands down the best graveyard content channel on UA-cam… it’s the only one that has high production value coupled with the narration, which is respectful, humorous and never goes for the creep factor or obsessively morbid (like some “ohh we may see a bone today” variety of channels)….it’s always a pleasure when I see a new video posted….
I found my great uncles Grave there last year. He went to America from Manchester England during . He was in the film industry along with Charlie Chaplin. His name was Jack Vernon Lloyd . 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Valhalla is looking so much better and all spruced up, compared to the last time HG was there. The first visit left me feeling sad at how depressing and unkempt it looked.
What a strangely uplifting episode! As the saying goes, "I'm only as good as the people around me." Three cheers for the supporting cast, writers, etc.
I can never tell you, Arthur, how much I enjoy your tours and the stories that come with them. I worked on cemetery preservation in Alabama for years and would very often wonder the backstories of the people I was protecting. You do a fantastic job, sir! Every single time!!!
Thank you for telling people about what Scott Michaels and other people have done to make sure these special people have a place and a marker to rest in peace.
Exactly...Scott is such a stand up guy ..doing his best to preserve and respect Hollywood stars and their belongings etc... It's amazing that Arthur said they were friends
I would LOVE if Arthur would get a book out of all of these graves. So many of these stars are long forgotten . A book would pay tribute to those who are lesser known. We need to remember their wonderful contributions to screen, song, and stage. Thank you, Arthur!
I’d definitely buy it. I bought the most recent copy of Where Are They Buried? Hw Did They Die and as good as it was I still thought a book by Arthur would be even better.
This is why I love your channel-- you give these supporting actors their well deserved chance in the lights. Mantan Moreland is one of my favorite supporting actors in so many great B movies. Kudos.
I loved the 60's Addams Family, even though it was well before my time! As soon as I saw the name "Weatherwax" (Lassie's trainer), I thought of the original Pugsley. Sure enough, Ken was there, too. Your videos are always wonderfully produced, Arthur. I look forward to them every month ❤
These videos are always superb but what truly stands out is the respect and reverence you give to each and every person featured. From the biggest A listers to the folks in the films from the lesser known "Poverty Row" studios, you treat everyone equally and that's important, because the story of Hollywood would not exist without each and every one. Thank you for all you do, including all the recent work organizing the neglected cremation storage areas elsewhere.
It is VERY good to see Valhalla in MUCH better condition than I have seen it in the past! Would that all cemeteries might benefit from such restoration and care! 👍😀
I remember awhile ago you showed us a marker for Bob Barker. Well, now that he has recently passed away, I cannot wait for you to show us his final resting place when the time is right. I absolutely love your channel. I get excited when you post a video.
I know this is 3 months old, but you missed a great opportunity and I just have to point it out. You could've said, "I cannot wait for you to show us his final resting place when the price is right." 😎 it might not have made sense, but it would've been hilarious lol
You saved the best for last, lovely Mae Clarke. She starred in some fine films in the 1930s. She was an extremely talented actress with an unaffected natural style unlike other actors of her era.
Awesomeness!!! ❤❤❤❤ My favorites are the cheif and the man who trained the Lassie's doggies Amazing that James O Anderson had the same birthday has me🎉🎉 Thank you for these great videos❤
Arthur, it's so great to finally see another one of your awesome Hollywood Graveyard videos after so long. Thank you for keeping the memories of all these souls alive. You truly are the master sir. We've missed you & hope to start seeing more of you now.
Thank you Arthur for another amazing video. Much appreciation for the time and hard work you put into your videos. They are fascinating, informative, and a joy to watch. Blessings always.
Valhalla is a truly a Beautiful and Unique Cemetery! I found your theme of visiting the Supporting Players of the film industry as well as others really touching and interesting. They deserve to be remembered and recognized for their talent and hard work. It’s was so special to see the Portal again being reminded of those who shockingly lost their lives on Challenger as well as others in Aviation! So uncanny to see a Plane Crash against the Shrine! What a Stunning Sunset to See toward the end with this second visit to the Visually Pleasing Valhalla. Excuse the pun but how time flies! Thanks Arthur for taking us along with you for another Amazing Tour! 🖤
Have to admit… what a well done video of graveyard tours! It’s a bit addictive seeing and hearing the life and end of famous people. Thx for well produced and edited vids!
What a GREAT surprise today!! Thank you for another episode. I just watched this new one, but I will have to go back and watch both Valhalla episodes again. Thanks again, Arthur, for a job well done!
I'm glad you showed the grave of Mae Clarke who did not have a happy outcome . Her star was on the rise when she had a nervous breakdown in 1932 The following year she was in a bad car accident then she had another nervous breakdown in 1934. Sadly her career never recovered.
Thank you so much for another great video Arthur. Valhalla looks so much better now after all the cleaning up that people did to bring the graves back to life.
Another great day when there is a new Hollywood Graveyards. Fascinating selection of graves. My mother loved Gorgeous George because his hair was so pretty. She spoke of his gold-plated bobby pins he called "Georgie Pins" he would toss out to the crowds.
Arthur, I'm so glad you did this video! Movies would be nothing without these so-called "supporting" players... they deserve to be honored and remembered just as much as the "big" stars. So happy to see another video! Please, keep 'em coming!!
Once again an outstanding production by Hollywood Graveyard but then again, everything that HG has aired has been outstanding! Thank you for giving the warm comfort and solace to be able to pay ,y respects to so many that I will likely never be able to see in person. For some reason I always have the feeling of being hugged for the duration of the video after has come to the end. A feeling of great comfort and safety to know that others still care about those who have graced our presence in one way or another. Thank you Mr. Dark and Team!!
I'm a Dane and Christen Klitgaard (Kit Guard) sounded very Danish, so I had to investigate why, and I found that he was Danish-born, and moved to the US around his 20th birthday, or so. Very cool. Also, something tells me that I've heard/read about him in something regarding Danes immigrating to the US in the early to mid-1900s, and becoming successful in some chosen field of work. Thanks for adding him in this vid. (Also cool that as a Danish-born, his grave is in a cemetery called Valhalla...)
Thank you, Arthur for yet another exceptional video of yet another one of the beautiful and sorien graveyard's that Hollywood/Los Angeles has to offer. You truly do justice to .. hmm.. "Those who lived to entertain us". I, as so many many others, do enjoy your tales of lives and works of these wonderful actors/actresses from their time in Hollywood. And, Thank you for recognizing our very own Scott Michael's. I would love to see you and Scott together someday making a video (short film as I like to call it) together to these sacred and fascinating graveyard's. You both have so much respect and knowledge of these places and the stars that you cover. I love watching you Arthur, I could watch Hollywood Graveyard all day long and NEVER be bored! 🙂
With everything going down in my life lately and I assure you that this hasn't been a good year for me. These videos for the short running time let's me escape. Thank you for posting. I haven't heard of half these actors/actresses. These videos are so informative and the history of some always amazing.
Another great video, Arthur. Thanks for acknowledging the character actors who were as much a part of the older films as the stars. Valhalla looks great now. The management should get kudos for getting the cemetery back in shape. It is good to see headstones for those who had not had one for years. Honestly, no grave should be without a headstone, it gives the grave a sense of emptiness for the deceased.
From a young age I have always been fascinated by cemeteries. Your videos are a way to visit them world-wide and your research and commentary make it educational and beautiful. Thank you, Arthur.
Was tickled when you said at Pugleys gravestone, that you were friends with DEARLY DEPARTED ...I love his videos as well...such a good guy trying his best to keep HOLLYWOOD history alive ...and his efforts for Pugleys funeral was amazing and now he is looking for help with famous small person, Michu...his cremains should be placed and viewed in memory of his hard lifelong working career ...I hope he gains plenty and can change the area at least to a height we all can see and remember all that he did...so glad you mentioned DEARLY DEPARTED
Brilliant Arthur. I wasn't aware that Valhalla was the second cemetery you had visited. But it was great to see how improved it is, from what it was then. It really is the home of supporting stars and I find their stories every bit as fascinating, as the bigger names at Forest Lawn or Hollywood forever. Keep 'em coming.
Again thank you for profiling so many artists who are not well known but an important part of the cinematic world. The generosity of fans is simply amazing. God bless them. ❤
I remember many of those supporting players for Hal Roach, Stooges & Laurel & Hardy..especially Stanley Blystone..another awesome Arthur Dark poduction..Bravo!!!😊
My little brother Robert was only 40 minutes old is buried at Valhalla. Robert's grave was sunk. My brother and I dug up the headstone and fixed it. It's a beautiful cemetery.
Arthur I love your revisits! There is always more to see. It's also such a good feeling to see all of the grave sites that were previously unmarked get a new stone. Bless all the people who make this happen....
WAKE UP!!!! THE KING HAS POSTED!!!!
👏🏼👏🏼🤣🤣
yesss!!
❤😂
gush much?
Arthur dark would you fulfill my request by visiting the grave of John philip sousa please and you are a sweet kind guy on youtube 🎃🎃
My brother is buried there. I never knew him, he was before me, but died as an infant. The people at Valhalla were so very kind. Arthur Dark has the best music on his productions also. 🎵
DITTO! Brilliant
That voice draws us in😊
It's always a great day when Arthur drops a video ❤❤❤
Amen!
👍I agree❣️
I love listening to his voice❤️
That is TRUE !!!! THANX SO MUCH ARTHUR !!!!
DEFINITELY !
it also helps that he has a smooth, sexy voice that blends with the content.
I found my great uncles Grave there last year. He went to America from Manchester England during . He was in the film industry along with Charlie Chaplin. His name was Jack Vernon Lloyd . 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Gorgeous George. As a long time wrestling fan and reader of history, a true pioneer.
Buddy Rogers also
Thank you as always, Arthur, for making all these people's contributions known to the world! So much talent.
It's hard to believe that it's been over 6 years since we were here last, time sure does fly.
Danke, das ich sie begleiten durfte.
Hat Spaß gemacht in Erinnerungen zu schwelgen.👍💓🙏🏻
No body does it better than Arthur Dark. I've watched all of them.
Mantan Moreland!!! He was a fabulous actor!
It's always a great day when Arthur drops us a gift! ❤❤❤
Oh yes another Hollywood Graveyard video
I'm beyond excited!!!!
Thank you for another wonderful video, Arthur. It is great to see all the restoration work at Valhalla.
Thank you for remembering so many character actors and lesser-known stars. It is so nice to see them acknowledged.
I can never tell you, Arthur, how much I enjoy your tours and the stories that come with them. I worked on cemetery preservation in Alabama for years and would very often wonder the backstories of the people I was protecting. You do a fantastic job, sir! Every single time!!!
The most depressing words ever in a Hollywood Graveyard video: “And that concludes our tour.”
You should receive an award for narration Arthur. Thank you😊😊😊
Agree
Agree!
WOW Arthur, you DID IT AGAIN!!!! It's AMAZING AND SAD that sooooooo MANY DIED IN THEIR 60's!!!!
I’m glad they are restoring all of the graves. Can tell that nature had started to take over
Valhalla is so much nicer in the sunshine! Thanks for the update 😊
I would LOVE if Arthur would get a book out of all of these graves. So many of these stars are long forgotten . A book would pay tribute to those who are lesser known. We need to remember their wonderful contributions to screen, song, and stage. Thank you, Arthur!
I would buy it!
@@Mrgop Same here. A few copies for my friends also.
I’d definitely buy it. I bought the most recent copy of Where Are They Buried? Hw Did They Die and as good as it was I still thought a book by Arthur would be even better.
You tell us about Hollywood, like nobody else can! Thank you!
Yay a new Hollywood graveyard ❤
This is why I love your channel-- you give these supporting actors their well deserved chance in the lights. Mantan Moreland is one of my favorite supporting actors in so many great B movies. Kudos.

My grandparents are buried there. My grandmother was the nanny for Hal Roach studios. This was during the time of Our Gang/Little Rascals.
It was great that you acknowledged Scott Michaels! Another person with great knowledge of actor and actresses deaths.
Loved seeing the vintage performers and hearing their stories. Great job as always!
It is VERY good to see Valhalla in MUCH better condition than I have seen it in the past! Would that all cemeteries might benefit from such restoration and care! 👍😀
Money is America's God & it's a jealous God. Everything can be fixed with dollars.
I loved that “join us, won’t you?”
HE IS BACK TIME TO PARTY 🎉🎉🎉❤❤
Again Thank you Arthur for bringing us these Wonderful Amazing Actors!
Its always a joy to get a notification from Hollywood Graveyard .
I enjoy these types of videos that don't forget about any Old Hollywood star no matter how big or small. Its so impressive.
I remember awhile ago you showed us a marker for Bob Barker. Well, now that he has recently passed away, I cannot wait for you to show us his final resting place when the time is right. I absolutely love your channel. I get excited when you post a video.

Is it only me but as soon as I see the “Hollywood” post, I pause everything to watch it?
Great to see you back at the cemetery that started it all
Always a good day when a new HG ep arrives. Thanks, Arthur!!!!
YAY another video from Hollywood Graveyard *happy dance* 😁 Thank you so much for all you do😊

Valhalla really looks beautiful now. So glad they are up keeping the grounds. It looked so sad in 2017. Thank you Arthur, for the revisit.
I'm so glad for the new posting..I look forward to these. You do a great job Arthur, to take great respect for the graves.
🕊️🙏😃

I think its awesome that so many lived full lives
You just made my day!!!! Loveeeee every video. Watch at least 2-3 times each ❤️❤️
Great video, thanx Arthur.
Bringing back epilogs, one epic episode at a time.

The carvings on that monument were stunning. Another excellent video Mr. Dark.😊
Another classic video!!! Always the best. So very satisfying to see so many that were unmarked graves far too long, getting a proper acknowledgement
Once again an outstanding production by Hollywood Graveyard but then again, everything that HG has aired has been outstanding!

I love these videos so much. Thank you doing them. I was wondering if Betty White will get a memorial?
Scott Michaels is such a good soul helping get some of these stars the stones they deserve. Thank for the always awesome content Arthur!
