- In this game I get to play a strange opening trap in the Falkbeer Countergambit (an aggressive variation against the King's Gambit). The trap involves me developing my king in order to win material.

*Me after castling:* My king is probably still isn't safe.
*Eric with King at C6:* The king is so safe here :) 2:02

@@mauricehayden4912 seems illegal but interesting
That king on b6 is such a baller. The position should be on a tshirt. Maybe with, "King's just chillin'" Eric Rosen, 2020. Hi twitch chat. Someone fix Toggi.
No one did fix Toggi
in an endgame it's not really dangerous at all (especially up a piece), only in positions with queens still on is it really dangerous to have the king out there.
What is toggi and why do I see it all over erics channel
@@adas1023 toggi toggi toggi
imagine being a king while chilling on b6 lol
That was a fun one to watch. Especially with the opponent stream sniping and getting tricked by Eric's active king.
1:15 , “what’s it called, jebaited? Jebaited :)” Hes a little confused but he got the spirit
The one person who disliked was Eric's opponent, who in fact hated the omnipotent king.
Lol Its actually 4 now
@@kodexe3298 9 now lol
The nine are the opponent, his wife, his Mom, brothers and sisters, and their spouses
@@davidk7143 14 now lol the cousins must have joined in
@@cyrusterzievthelin1779 19 now, that kid in the corner and his gang must have joined too
Anti stream snipe? lol
Henry Chess He stream sniper sniped
Lmaoooooo
busted him a couple times, didn't he?
I love move 19: “Time to develop more things”
Every time Eric asks "where is my mate?" I say "I'm here, man."
Only Eric would be happy about having a king on the third rank before half his pieces are developed and it actually be correct haha
And after this outstanding move, Black is winning content by force.
john madden mode engage 2:36
5:27 5 consequtive paw captures! Simply pleasing
That's what stream snipers get lol
I like your Content so much. I dont know why, mby because you behave so confident through out the entier game
"It's time to develop more kings" - Eric Rosen 3:59
Things
When I’m being attacked, I usually trade queens but then I don’t take their queen
In this era of home isolation and lock-down, the king is just taking a walk. AMAZING
Earlier this morning I had a game where I blundered my queen, my opponent returned the favour by not capturing the queen and getting checkmated soon after. Bless him.
Dude must've thought u are tal lol
@@alberrt77 I blunder my queen consistently against stronger players and they miss to take it somehow.. (I'm 1250-1350)
It happens at higher levels too. I'm mid 1800s on Lichess blitz and I had an opponent hang #1 with their 9th move.
If we're talking 3 minute games then anything can happen.
It's called the Botez Gambit
"people watching in the future i hope you enjoyed that" yeah. you know what?
yeah.
When you are being attacked u actually have 5 options not 2. Take/trade, retreat, counter attack/trade a different piece, pin attacking piece, sac for position (Alpha zero style)
Did you really forget defend?
@@footballfanboy4274 my man kevin really forgot bout defending lol
You actually have 7 options
1. Trade
2. Retreat
3. Counter attack
4. Defend
5. Pin
6. Sac
7. Resign
@@hscutenako3029 Resign? Really?
The early game active king is a trick no one can prepare for.
Develop your king just sounds so funny.
It's really funny how you collected the pawns in the end game
Your content is so high quality chess. I also like your humour, you should keep doing it.
The opponent watch erics stream while playing. JEBAITED.
This video made me feel good for always declining the Falkeer counter gambit against my king's gambit.
Eric is such a sneaky persuader ;p
The ol’ chilling king delayed bong cloud JeBaited line
Love the vids Eric. Keep 'em coming!
Nice king.
That guy is actually pretty good, played him once and I won but it was tough
So good
He's not wrong... its a tricky move for white HAHAHAHAA
We miss on twitch. hope you’re doing well ❤️
“Ye tempted thee!!” In my Amish voice.
very good commentry...you should not always trust me
That was cute.
I usually don't pay much mind to 3min games, but this one was sufficiently entertaining. :-;
I love how Eric apologises when people essentially stream snipe him by listening to his commentary while playing
Buddy, you kick ass.
Maybe the opponent was watching your game.
He was, he said so in the chat.
I don't know why you would think that.
He literally said that PawnMasseur commented in the chat.
Why is Albert Fish, of all people, doubting the words of Jesus Christ?
Maybe he is Agnostic/Atheist
Eric, you show this line in your excellent series on Limitlesschess (an aggressive 1...e5 repertoire). Fun repertoire, highly recommended to your other viewers!
Eric knows all the traps😍!!!!!!!!!
Eric and Agadmator are my favorite youtube Channels.
Great video, thank you sir.
Hi Eric , i watched this video again today i think at 2:47 if white plays c4 then knight is in trouble beacuse it is pinned. If Qxb4+ then Ke3 and if u capture rook then QXD5+ followed by Qb5 # checkmate for black . Please analyis and let me know if i m missing something whenever u get time ☺
Delayed bong cloud
If I ever meet Eric he would be in 7th heaven because I would show him the Steve system!
That was slick!
Hi Twitch people !
what is your schedule on twitch? It's been a long time that I have seen you on twitch....
I don't love the king but I like him
Nice game.
"Cire" means wax in French.
pls longer Videos
I dont know all that much about chess, but if I'm not mistaken couldnt your opponent take the dark square bishop on d3 after playing queen e2, because I'd rook to e8, you can play bishop at? You, as black, would win the piece back, but not blunder a queen?
After rook takes bishop, the queen is pinned either way. You just procrastinate your problem^^
cool game
1 mn 30 s o-o-o instead of moving Queen
Thats 200 iq
Lesson learned
how to develop the 2:48 mastery???
Don't be sorry! He shouldn't be listening to your comments while playing against you!
Um, 1:25, when the King develops why not Bxb3? I mean sure, Eric tells us the threat is ... Re8, pinning the Queen. But after Be5 breaking the pin, I don't see the big deal.
No doubt there is something I am missing, but Eric assumes I won't miss oit and doesn't explain what is obvious to any decent player... just not me.
If bishop takes the bishop the knight is going to recapture and the knight cant be taken because the queen would get pinnned and if the knight doesnt get captured hes up a piece
@@Max-bq9qd bishop takes knight then pin the queen then bishop e5 then f3 winning the bishop and you are up a piece and if your opponent does not move the queen you can capture with the rook creating more threats
@@Max-bq9qd I don't recapture the knight right away. I insert Qg4+. And yeah, the Queen is under attack by discovery but I simply move her, perhaps checking again staying on that white diagonal. When I get hit with that ...Re8+, I just block it with my knight or bishop. Either will be attacked and defended twice (actually 3x, counting the King). The Black Knight will still be hanging.
I do like that king :D
3:00 da faq?
I liked the king so I liked the video. 🤷♂
I love the game.

People who disliked are the stream snipers, remembering old grievances.
i like the King. so i obeyed like a good youtbe people and clicked the like~!
The King has to be active. All books say an active King is key to winning.
Only works if you're a really good player and don't have many weaknesses. As an amateur you better get your king to a safe position.
Clearly you’re the amateur here. Books say king activation is necessary in the endgame, but why wait until the end to show your ultimate strategy? King activation immediately is the best strategy; analyze in with an engine or something.
@@anonymoussecret5948 King Activation is better in the endgame specifically because he is stronger than pawns, but is weaker than bishops, knights, rooks and queens. There is few of those in the end game.
Activating your king early game, without any actual theory like this counter gambit, is a great way to get mated by a tactic. You don't need to analyse this in an engine, its just common sense.
King of The Hill players have left the chat*
@@TexasRedOutlaw Chess is about utilizing all of your pieces to their fullest potential. How can play good chess if you deliberately hinder the activation of one of your pieces? King activation is often overlooked by newer players, who are told to castle within the first 10 moves, but as Eric has demonstrated, king activation can be the key to success. A white king on the 3rd rank is better than an inactive one.
Was the opponent able to hear Eric’s thought process? It seemed like the opponent always made a move right after Eric quipped it would be an “interesting” move.
Stream snipers everywhere brah
Perhaps you know this already but it seems like his opponent is watching his stream while playing him. That is apparent on why Eric is apologizing for baiting him in to it.
Eric: *BUT IT WAS ME, DIO*
Kono Eric Da
You commented this just because the title said bizzare
NO! IT WAS ME LELOUCH!
That king was just chilling out there
WTF HOW CAN YOU CALCULATE THOSE LINES? SO AMAZING.
Clancy Hernandez theory bro, he already knows
Anybody can do it really he just focused on chess so much he know what lines to play but still Hikaru and other learn more lines to be GM their theories would blow anyone away
5:51 "Uhh, I wanna mate with both rooks and a knight."
Kinky.
I'm surprised that there is no jokes about Lelouch from code geass.
The one dislike is from the guy who lost 😁😂
Falkbeer is my normal response to the kings gambit and my absolute favorite opening to play. I take on f4 and open it up though and usually get lines like 3.exd5 exf4 4.c4 c6 5.dxc6 Nxc6 6.d4 Bb4+ which leads to very exciting games.
Hey, I've watched that lecture you mentioned earlier today. What a coincidence! :)
King on c6 be like "bro I'm literally just vibing rn"

@Eric: can u leave a link to that st. Louis lecture u mentioned in video in comment also Thanks for the London course, learned a lot from it.
Ah yes counter sniping
White could take the bishop and after Re1, Be5 breaks the Pin, since it is protected by the Pawn.
I thought the same thing too 🤔
Seems playable to me...
Eric: Queen E2 is an interesting move.
In his head: Take the bait! Take the bait! Take the bait!!!!
