If you want this opening to happen more often, as the petroff is rarely played, you can play the bishop's opening: 1 e4 e5 2 bc4, most common reply being ...nf6 transposing into the reverse stafford

I play the bishop against e4 e5 anyways , my opponents seem to like transposing into a nahkmanson or a Jerome's or even an urusov gambit from this move order. As opposed to the standard nf3 where I get a load of philidor's for some reason.

I'm actually surprised that you didn't mention the standard oh no my queen trap. After knight takes knight and you retake with pawn, going into the reversed stafford, and black plays knight C6 or D6, you can also just castle to bait black into trying to pin the knight to the queen. While also threatening to take it and dmg the pawn structure if the queen doesn't defend.
But then you just got the standard stafford oh no my queen trap.
I've had this multiple times. Never gets old. Always makes my day.

Among the reasons is the fact that one my novelty lines it was quite tough for my opponent to refute or counter even in the semi rapid matches as the lines were quite effective ones..Keep it up Eric Rosen,am a big fan of u n ur videos & I mention also that I recommended ur videos to quite a lot of the chess people in my country..🖒🖒

Thanks GM Rosen, I am enjoying all the Stafford videos. Not for nothing, but this doesn't seem like a new opening, rather a sharp line off the Petrov / Russian game. There has to be some reason why we don't see it as often as other openings at high levels. I suspect ,white when they accept the gambit is when they get in trouble, chasing material with the knight- I definitely will be studying this more. My coaches in the past always recommended me to play King's Indian or Nimzo as black and learn the main lines from that one. I'm tempted to play Carlsen's Bongcloud as white but I'm too chicken.

I have a little pet line which ends up very similar to this. If black goes for the fork trick in Italian four knights with Nxe4, rather than taking back white can castle and then after Nxc3, dxc3 it's effectively the same gambit.
It's not quite as strong since black already has a knight on c6 but you still get a win if black doesn't play carefully. I find good success with it at my level where players start using the fork trick but aren't strong enough to see the danger.

At 7:10 I would castle, then sac the knight for the e5 pawn. If he captures then check with the queen on h5. If black push the front to protect the king, he loses the rook. If black moves the king forward, it's checkmate in 1

So Stockfish against regular stafford (as black) suggests Queen in front of the king right after knight trade, the knight out, and then back to where the queen was.
    So Qe7, Nc6, Nd8
Its a but cramped, but it defends everything. Its not as natural to play tho. Feels more hypermodern where you dont have your center or really development, but its interesting either way.

I know beginners like these gambits but some are actually bad for their play. In the long run they may benefit from studying the Evans. We know the great majority will never get to expert (candidate master) level, So these gambits work better there. For the student who really wants to end up a titled player, besides going to college to become a doctor or lawyer or some high paying profession, they will then need to really learn the standard openings.

I really love these videos. You teach noobs to memorise inferior openings. In the words of a wise man, “tricks are for kids”.
