Dear Traci, I wanted to thank you for sharing all of these ideas and videos with us. You have opened up a whole new outlook for me and instead of getting rid of things that are old or don’t fit, I simply work them differently and have the confidence to do it. ❤ Your videos and techniques make it easy to follow and give us ways to tweak things for our own taste. You are a treasure!!
Love these Traci , in the late 60s to early 70s I wore bandanas as scarf hats in all the different colors they came in. I even added them to my bell bottoms to make them match. You could also sew 4 of them together & make a cute top. Thank you for the sweet memories🌷
Oh my now I think even I could make these. As a relatively newbie sewer. I'm beginning to be addicted to your makes. The duster coats especially ❤. We go on our holidays on Saturday and I wanted something unique. THANK YOU SO MUCH 💓
So clever and beautiful! As a child in the 1960s, we made these to match our dresses and called these Babuskas, a foreign word for head scarf. Can’t wait to make some now! Thanks a million Traci!
I just found your video for the first time. I wore these as a kid in the 70’s. I can’t wait to make one. How fun! Great idea and what is old is new again
Just saw a great tip to keep them on your head: there are these little adhesive, double-sided gel tabs used for press-on nails. Put them near your hairline on your upper forehead then put on the scarf. It will prevent it from slipping (a problem I always had with hats and headbands!)
Hola. Me gustan tus videos. Esas bandanas están bellas. Ya copié el patrón. Lo voy a hacer pronto. Será sorpresa para mi hija y nieta. Gracias por compartir tu arte. Dios te bendiga siempre.
Hi Traci! Just discovered your channel yesterday and have been binge watching - I am not a sewist, just made a few basic things over the years like simple curtains and kids’ costumes. Totally intimidated by patterns and find new fabric too pricey to practice with…but your tutorials have me re-evaluating everything in my closet (and craft room) and excited about thrifting this weekend with my girls! Can’t wait to grow my wardrobe in a unique and affordable way!! 🙏🏼 Thank you, thank you for sharing your talent, unique process and experience! Your courageous cutting and organic go-with-the-flow approach are a game changer! You truly are an inspiration! 💕
What a great project! I can do this and not feel overwhelmed by all the fabric choices on a larger project. I can find a use for those knits and synthetics I keep finding. Learning to think outside the box and use what I find/have. Thank you Traci. Love your creativity ❤
The ruffle on that eyelet pillow sham is good as a source for a future ruffle elsewhere. I have grabbed bed ruffles with eyelet on the edge and incorporated that in to sleeves and around the bottom of upcycle shirts. TY Traci!!! ❤
Трейси, привет!!! Мне очень нравится ваш канал и всё, что Вы создаёте. Вы большая мастерица, и у Вас есть чему учиться. Благодарю Вас за красоту ваших работ. ❤❤❤ Людмила из России город Сочи.
Sooo easy!.. and sooo cool!.. I've been trying on bandana, but, they never looked so prety!.. thanks for the pattern, and the ideas!, I'll use them too!..😘🇩🇴
Love your video. Your creativity matches your final product beautifully. Turning all different old unused pieces into a wonderful blend on the bandanas, that will give you a high profit when you sell them. You are a genius. I'm not a fringe lover although it looks nice. After washing any item with fringes on, it doesn't look the same anymore. I prefer the lace trim instead. Thank you for sharing your beautiful bandanas in this video! ❤
So cute and so timely. I volunteer in a kitchen at a children’s home and wear bandanas every shift. I have many colors, but get tired of them. So excited to have ideas on how to spruce them up. Thanks so much. I’m never disappointed in your videos. BTW, I just started a pair of the overalls you do, mine are regular Jean fabric and I recently found a Rose patterned sheet. You truly are inspiring. Again thanks.
Ohhh can't wait to do this. I have a video request, can you takes us through a bunch of thifted clothes that might be your base, or something you could alter, and talk about what you might do? What sorts of things you can do with different items/clothes/fabrics... I have a bunch of clothes from my mum, I want to play with them but not sure where to start!
Hi Traci, congratulations on your marriage. Hope all is going well for both of you. Always good to see you and your new project. You are so cute everything looks great on you. 😊
Aunque no entiendo tu idioma lo que veo es maravilloso y de una armonía que me hace feliz Gracias por compartir tu ideas de Mexico sigue creando cosas maravillosas🙋🏻♀️💝
Although I love the way you wear yours, I am keen on making them for gardening in high humidity. I sweat like a..well whatever sweats a lot! I use headbands and a large cotton scrunchie but it’s still not enough to soak up the sweat. This idea is awesome! I will put a thin layer of terry at the forehead and I’ll be stylin’.
Yay - you are officially a genius. And you always manage to be delightful and brighten up my evening. Plus you always look great in what you make ( I'd look a complete loon in one of these) But your ideas are so clever - love the designs. Thank you so much
I too get excited when my feed alerts me that you have uploaded a new video. Love you designs and tutorials Tracy, the head scarfs are adorable. thank you for all that you do!
Love this! I literally JUST made a bandana to practice mitered corners last weekend. I'm gonna upgrade and try this with a silk lining! 😍 Thanks so much! Love your funk! 😉😉🥰

Hi. This is adorable. Thank you so much for your time and efforts.
Hi Traci!! You are on FIRE!! Your last 3 projects have been so much fun, and so amazing. You really are an artist with your color matching - fabrics & trims. I wanted to get your attention and I don't know how but I have a request for 2024 Fall. Last year you made a BOHO coat with scraps from VERY heavy materials which was stunning (don't get me wrong I love it). I wanted to know if you could re-visit the coat/duster idea but with FLANNEL. or DENIM and FLANNEL. Heavy enough to be warm but not SO heavy that we can't wash it in the washing machine? You are a genius with your projects and I was just throwing it out there so maybe if you did it we would have plenty of time before the weather starts to change :) Anyway.. thank you again for your inspiration and all the joy you bring to all of us
Love that idea!🤗💞💓💞💓
You're the best gal in town, girl !! Love your stuff, all of it.
Awww!!! Thank you so much 🤗💖💞💖💞💖💞
Those are so cute!
🤗💞💖💞💖💖💖
Another amazing tutorial of wearable art. I always look forward to your videos. When you dont post I go back to a previously viewed and enjoyed tutorial. The only downfall I find is that I cant hit the like button again and again!
Awwww thank you so so much!!!🤗😍💖💖💖💖💖
Traci I just ❤it thank you for sharing
My pleasure!🤗💞💓💞💓
I'm off to give these ago. Thanks for the inspiration
Have fun!!🤗❤❤❤❤
These are so different thank you
Love love 💗 theses beauties. Thank you for sharing. Can’t wait to see what’s next. 💗💗💗💗💗💗
Thank you so much!🤗💞💖💞💖
Omg Traci how did you know, I’m growing my hair out and was thinking I need to make some headbands, and of course I loooove your designs 😍
Perfect!
Это поток! 2 дня назад связала ажурную косыночку!🤗🌹❤️🙌
Awesome!!!🤗💖💖💖💖
Love your ideas
Thank you! 😊🤗❤❤❤❤
I want to make some of these! My hair looks crazy in the morning before I get the kids off to school. 😅
Perfect lol!!!🤗💞💖💞💖
I *LOVE* the white one!
These are lovely! Thank you for sharing. 😊
*BUT.....*
Did you have to show us the ideas at the end...?
Was it necessary to trigger my *ENVY* like that? 😭😭😭 (😜)
Oh my Traci...would I love to dive head first into your fabric and trim stash! I'd literally just have my feet sticking out the top of the pile. I'm slowly building up my own stash, but not as varied as yours just yet.
You know when you put out plates of dinner at the table, and there's a toddler in the family... you've all got the same food, but they want what's on *YOUR* plate instead of their own? Yeah that's what I felt like at the end! 😂😂😂
I'm not really a "pink" person ordinarily, but I'd have loved to see the black and pink one finished. You pulled out some really great coordinating selections with those little bundles.
I've got a brand new computerised sewing machine *AND* _drum roll_ a matching overlocker! (Serger to you.) I've wanted an overlocker for YEARS and finally treated myself after winning £1000. (Approx $1250) 😁
However, they are taunting me, currently sat on the floor, still in their boxes... because I had a full abdominal hysterectomy a couple of weeks ago, and I'm not allowed to lift anything heavy for 12 weeks! 😩
But, I do have a lot of that (what you called eyelet) fabric, because "Broderie Anglais" cotton fabrics and trims are my absolute favourite of all. I can't resist it. Whether it's baby clothes, toddler dresses, flowy skirts, dungarees, cushions, bedding, curtains, nightdresses, lampshades and on and on.. I think it suits so many things for a soft, vintage, romantic, boho, shabby feel.
So *OF COURSE* your white headband is my favourite. It's so pretty. As are you!
Ciao for now lovely lady 😘 xxxxx
Awww you are so sweet (and funny)! Thank you so much for reaching out and I wish you a speedy recovery!!!🤗💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
I would like to make some bananas for my nieces .....I think this would be a good place to start honestly I don't even know how to sew..I have been binge watching you and got myself a sewing machine From Walmart nothing fancy ..until I get the hang of the machine Yesturday and today I have been focusing on how to use it ...I will keep you posted...lol Thank ypu for sharing ❤
I’m so glad you’re giving it a try!🥰💕💕💕💕
Super cute idea!!!
Thank you! 😊🥰💖💕💖💕💖
