I like to leave the leftover yarn outside, preferably at the base of a tree where birds hang out. Within a few days, they will have incorporated it into their nest or whatever building project they're currently working on--because we all know birds are always building something! This is another great idea.

I made this craft yesterday. For some reason, when I ironed over the yarn with paper on top , the yarn stuck to both upper and lower papers. I had used a hot dry iron. After peeling what I could off one paper and putting it back onto the other, I used a cooler steam and it worked with the exception of a few strands.

    So colorful! A QUESTION❓:
Your instructions/notes specify "wool," but can you you use other materials? Cotton, polyester, mixes... I know absolutely nothing about yarns; my collection is a mix of kinds I buy for color and texture but with no attention to content, so is there a reason that wool would be required for this? Any thoughts?
    Thanks for any ideas 🙏

I love your video, but please change it to yarn instead of thread. Thread is for sewing & is much thinner than yarn. Plus thread won't melt together like yarn will. But it is a great video & craft. Have you thought about using wax paper on top instead of paper when you use the iron?

Here’s some info on just one type of yarn… Acrylic yarn is made from petroleum based chemicals, it is not a natural fiber, it is a fossil fuel-based fiber. Many of us crocheters and knitters will not use it because of this. Some people may have a reaction to it. DuPont originally made it in the 1940’s. To make acrylic yarn, coal-based and petroleum chemicals are treated with monomers to become acrylonitrile, which is a synthic polymer, they are then further treated with chemicals to become a gel… In other words they can melt like in the video. When you are thinking about purchasing yarn, check out what it’s made of you may be surprised. I suggest using natural fibers/yarn, it’s more expensive but some of these yarns are not healthy. I don’t know what yarn was used in this video, but it is a very good way to use any yarn… although cotton will not melt.

I associate it with dreary because I heard it all the time at all the funerals... it's beautiful music but it's heard at sad times ..
I wanted to drive my point home because your concept was worth it. . I don't bother unless ...
    I see your problem however,
does it allow your own sounds your own music?
If so even birds outside and crickets???
    Anyone else chime in???
Your local church, band choir??? Ideas???
