Both ways work wonderfully which means however you want to print with a stencil is the right way! Gel Printing FUNdamentals details and registration at bit.ly/2ENaDCN

This video uses a stencil by Mary Beth Shaw of StencilGirl and one of the gel plates from Dina Wakley and Dyslusion 3 pack of plates to build up a background for an art journal page.

What does O.O.P.S. stand for? It stands for Outstanding Opportunities Presenting Suddenly.
Those “failures” and “mistakes” that I had so harshly criticized myself about actually became true gifts as soon as I started saying O.O.P.S. Try saying Oops in an angry tone. It makes it even more silly! I just can’t take myself seriously when I say Oops which is just what I needed to play. I began to play, to have fun, and to embrace all of my “mistakes”.

Had to come back Carolyn! So excited - my envelope of “Dube” stencils just arrived. Let the fun begin :)

I enjoyed today's colorful journey. I hope to take one of your classes in the future. thanks for sharing
Miss Carolyn, you are so cute and your presentation is so positive and great!
Thank you so much!
I loved your demonstration for using stencils on gel plates. I've been using stencils on 3x5 index cards with a dark lined background in acrylic but this is more versatile. Many thanks .... I love Stencil Girl stencils too.
Love the colors, this looks like so much fun to do, I really need to get a geli plate to play with
What a great result. Thanks for the inspiration and tips.
Look amazing love the colors you used.
Love that stencil.

Lovely page.... 😊
Love it thanks
so wonderful.....
To use a plate like a stamp, lay it on a piece of glass or Plexiglass that's bigger all around than the plate. It sticks,, and you can place the plate (paint side down of course) exactly where you want because it doesn't flop around. You can still print just a part of the plate, or easily remove it to bend into tight spaces.
Do you know, that you can mount gelli plates to acrylic plates / blocks, sometimes referred to as mega-mounts? especially when you use a small gelli print that is smaller than your paper the corners where you hold the gelli plate may show in an unwanted way and you can avoid these finger corners by mounting the gelli plate to an acrylic mount. :)
Yeah, the background is pretty. 😃
This looks like just my style! May I visit your studio ... as I don't have my own ... yet? HeHe!
So helpful. I only have the minis and the 5x7. My daily journal is slighly bigger and my big jouornals are 9x12. TFS
You make flipping the gel plate look so easy! Any hints to that or is it just practice? Thanks
Great video!
I love your wirk
