A while ago I played around with this but used regular acrylic instead of Open. I did one where I put a picture (flowers in a vase) under the plate and painted on top, let the paint dry and then put a solid layer (background colour) on top, then pulled the print. The result was different, a bit faded looking, but did like the outcome. I can see how using Open would be beneficial though. May give it a go and also test using a canvas sheet as well as paper.
