If you’re having trouble, the timing between the first jump and light attack has to be faster than every other window between inputs. Whether you like macros or not, they’re good for finding timings for time heavy movement tech and I left my findings below. At around 300fps average, you have around a 50ms maximum window between inputs. For the jump to light attack you have around a 30ms window at max. This leaves you with a 130ms maximum window to hit all inputs starting with the first jump. Edit: People want macro timings, this is what I found worked best in testing. How tf bro Ive gotten it like 1 in 20 times this is so annoying
@ethangrider4443 well it isn't consistent. Also I have weird binds. LB is my jump for instance
I give up on trying to do this with controller. spent an hour and a half with little to no success
Did you credit the user? Lol I know there's a comment
i have done this a couple of time but never bothered to try to repeat it. this also scares me because this is way more likely to get patch and the will probaly ruin the normal well/shatter skating
Why would this get patched? It’s basically just regular skating in a way that uses left click instead of right, it has the same fundamentals of animation canceling a downward and forward motion to cause a huge increase in forward momentum.
@@revan3270 because the range of motion before was limited to the direction of the ledge. Now its basically anywhere you choose, which will increase the skill gap much more for players who don't skate in pvp. we might be fucked boys, if bungie patched gliave skating and super titan slams they could totally patch this.
@@seasidefruit7827 But being in the air is the same thing as being off a ledge, you still go down. Thats why if you time it right you can even do it at the top of stairs, you don’t need to be on a ledge necessarily just in the air.
@@revan3270 not the point, this new tech allows insane speed pretty much anywhere in any direction.
@@revan3270 seaside explained it pretty well its more because of crucible not pve. i dont think they would nerf it if it was only a pve thing.
Got it. Pretty cool! I swear you can’t go as far as you can doing it the old way on a ledge. But still very far.
your right the distance is less. but that makes sense since light attack is less momentum
Nerfed? Cuz since today can't skate anymore (hunter)
Hi chat welcome to this video
When i scroll my scroll wheel with jump bound to scroll down, it triggers several jumps, is that supposed to happen? idk if im messing the timings up or if thats the problem
Since your scroll wheel itself is set to scroll down, unless you specifically hitch your scroll wheel down one notch it will input several "scroll down"s to the game and therefore it will make you jump multiple times.
@@adroxys4458 so then how does he do it in the video with his scroll wheel/should i just use spacebar instead?
I'm gonna try with controller. The timing seems insane though. Maybe I need a Scuf. 😅
I have tried on a controller with paddles and it's still really hard... Or I'm just bad.
I also have paddles. Dont help lmao. Still can't figure this out.
It's a shame you didn't mention Pris 🤥
i did this macro but sometimes it tends to fail idk why and i just well in place xD
I can do it but i cant lock down the timing man
Any macro for corsair ???
i was practicing it for hours on controller and accidentally hit heavy attack and i did it on the ground idk how i just posted it on my channel someone tell me if this is possible or was i just on the smallest ledge ever someone lmk
Question. Since this seems to work with mechanics that bring the player down would this technically work with phoenix dive as well?
nah, sorry, I've tried a bunch, I'm pretty sure it stops your momentum before the dive :
On Hunter, can you do this on void with the "Shadowdive" aspect?
nah, unfortunately not
i'm trying it but i don't think you can
Would m3 be a good super bind for this tech? It's what I use for supers
I think that should work fine
How can you get an eager edge roll
It is from Dares of Eternity, but both are also craftable. Hope that helps!
does this still work after update?
I just did this last night for the first time. October 9th, 2022.
How to do it with controller?
If you are on console do not bother I can well skate with the best of them and has no function, it's so hard to pull off you would be better to just find a ledge to skate
Really weird was just on you skating vid and gave up cause it's too hard on console. Closed out the video and this popped up... Weird
i always thought this was only possible with a macro
This is nice, but normal shatter/well skate is faster
you need a ledge and tbis doesn't take that ability away
