The simple visual demonstration of the difference a vortex frame makes was SUPER helpful. I've seen so many people say it goes faster/further but nobody show a real comparison like that. 👍
@@navster100the timing is very very slim but if you time it just right you actually won't lose ammo when doing it on a vortex frame. I did some messing around with it today.

Great video. This glitch is not really new, been around for a while, but it's not been widely known for some reason... I really like how you explain it and the variety of examples you show. Also seems much easier to pull with the new vortex frames, so it's cool. :3

This gave me flashbacks to glitching onto the banks in the D1 tower by floating against the invisible ceiling (Commented this before it was mentioned in the video lol)
The big practise ramp mentioned in the video didn't work well at all for me (strand and stasis) and others (stasis and well) in the area. We kept getting caught on the edge of the ramp and jumping off that. Was much simpler on smaller rock ramps in the surrounding area like the one in the bottom left of the area very slightly to the southwest of the F (from FIREBASE) on the map that looks out over the water and has only a single tree stump to the left of the ramp and is near 3 crates. Small ramps were consistent for me, the big ramp rarely.

So I actually recognised this tech IMMEDIATELY as an ex-Team Fortress 2 player and what this is, if you're familiar with TF2 movement tech, it's a VERY close result to a Team Fortress 2 tech for Demoknight called "Trimping", a tech which utilises similar concepts to classical Source slope surfing techniques, which I believe may be the grandfather of all momentum-based movement tech due to how old it is! I believe it even may pre-date Source entirely and could go as far back as the Quake era! It's an INCREDIBLY fun tech to learn and I highly recommend trying it, especially because TF2 is free-to-play The physics and inputs are different, but the result is very similar in practise! (All you need in TF2 is a good slope & a Charge n' Targe, an unlock weapon which you can rent from the shop) Trimping is *very* easy to pull off as all it requires is a jump & a shield charge at a steep enough incline. This may make it seem like it has no relevance to Destiny 2 air surfing due to a difference in inputs & engine physics, but the result of a good trimp looks almost identical to an air surf! Also this video is incredibly informative & you convey the information incredibly well! Thank you!
OH MY GOD IT IS I didn't see it at first but after a few seconds I realized it's the same principle as trimping from TF2 using ramps to mess with the physics engine That's amazing!
