  • Have you ever tried to smoke a fish (ahi tuna, salmon etc.) with no luck on the Traeger? The grilling and smoking crowd often overlooks fish for a few reasons. Good quality fish costs as much as a NY Strip, It sticks to the grill and THEY HAVE NEVER DONE IT RIGHT! I show you how to brine, cook and enjoy a tasty Ahi Tuna Steak that will melt in your mouth. This Tuna is smoked as well, so it has a nice crust on the outside and falls apart from juiciness.

That looks amazing. Smoked salmon is my favorite. Especially wild Sockeye. Cheers! Chris.

I usually do Ahi Tuna in my grill skillet over high heat, 1 1/2 minutes per side. Pink in the center of Ahi Tuna is fine. 🤓

I caught 4 40lb bluefin tuna this weekend. Looking for different ways to cook this style meat. I made this last night on my Traeger, the family thought is was unbelievable. Thank you.

Awesome video trying that routine tonight! Would love if you would do a seared version while still incorporating the traeger! Thanks

I found three yellowfin pieces in my subzero and I don't know where they came from. What I do know is I'm following your lead and cooking them up on my Traeger tomorrow! Nicely done on the video.

Did you add the honey and pepper to one side or both sides? I only saw you do it to one. I do not want to over season it.

Wouldnt you go by temp instead of cutting into it on the grill?

With tuna I go by texture instead of temp. You can actually eat it raw if you wanted, but it can get quickly dried out if you aren't careful

I'm guessing you should stop at 30 min...I find its too dry at 4o min.

When you say 225 for 20/40 minutes etc, are you including the time it took the grill to heat up from smoking to 225?
