    Salmon tastes great when smoked and this is no exception. Malcom's AP rub is the best, it goes on everything from steak to fish I know I use it. My wife will kill for Asparagus and this will be no exception. I can hardly wait to get this on the smoker.

    Don't know how I lived without this for so long! I make dog food for 2 of our dogs ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg (we have 5!) and it is so much quicker in this. Love having the inner pot stainless so I can use my immersion blender right in it without worrying about scratching. It makes potatoes great and fast! Still working on the vegetables, first time came out great, second time I did different ones and they were a little too mushy. Just need to adjust the time. I highly recommend this pot!!!

    Hey Malcolm Read
    I tried this recipe out I smoked a salmon fillet for Christmas morning it turned out amazing.
    preparing the spices just the way you did and the glaze I didn’t have a white cooking wine but I had some cooking sherry so I substituted that other than that I kept the recipe exactly to what you Specified.
    The salmon turned out amazing I wanted to thank you for the high-quality videos that you provide your recipes are so easy to follow .
    I’m new to cooking on a green egg but I’m absolutely loving working with charcoal wood and different types of foods thank you! My wife picked up a Thermo pen for Christmas for me it worked out great in this cook.
    I look forward to following you on more of your cooks and recipes .

    I've never grilled salmon before, but I've been seeing fresh never frozen salmon at my local Aldi lately. Once a week, my brother comes over for dinner with my daughter and I. I think I'm gonna try this exact combo, but add a few baby Yukon potatoes grilled up for each plate! Healthy but with that hearty finish.

    I love this video. I make salmon similar to this quite often sometimes with molasses or birch syrup. I prefer to cook mine with the skin off and if a person sprays the grill like you did in the video the fish won’t stick even without the skin. When it comes to eating salmon skin make sure it has no scales. Years ago I tried some with scales on and it was horrible in taste. I love grilling asparagus as well. I can’t wait to go catch some fresh salmon here in a month or 2 and grill some. Anyway thanks for all the great videos.

    • @WaffleShortage
      @WaffleShortage 6 років тому

      i usually start in a pan to get some crispy color on the flesh, then finish in the oven for about 10 minutes to get that medium-done cook. my concern about my grill is the direct heat since I don't have a smoker anymore and my grill is very shallow so i can't keep the fish away from the coals very well.

    • @diceman199
      @diceman199 6 років тому

      Place a wide shallow metal dish above (or on) the coals and put the fish above the dish. The heat will rise round the outside and direct heat will be cut way down.

      Affected Ryan
      The electric Bradleys make decent food but it's not real barbecue it's just smoked. To be barbecue your heat source has to be fossil fuel that is why they are outlawed in all competitions. If you want to fool your friends into thinking it is barbecue with a real smoke ring you can load it full of charcoal and a little bit of wood and the charcoal sometimes makes a light smoke ring. If you get the fever he won't be long before you'll be moving on to a pellet Grill, a stick burner, drum smoker, Or maybe all of the above.

    • @TheAffectedRyan
      @TheAffectedRyan 6 років тому

      Rus ridge Well, to be honest I did my research and this Bradley is what works best for the family. I have smoked food for years using many different methods. This works just great for me and the fam jam. If I want to fire up my drum and smoke on there I will.

    I like to remove the pin bones and skin and then filet off the brown fat on the outside of the filet. I brine the fish over night and then rinse and air dry the filets in the fridge so the white albumin doesn't coagulate on the outside when you grill it.

      J Williams overcooked for me, but the asparagus looked in point. I like a seat on the skin too. For this reason, I do it in an iron skillet or flat plate. His recipes are generally pretty good though. Im looking for a dedicated smoker so I can really focus on that. I’m so ready to cold smoke some fish and (hot smoke) some game up here in Wyoming!
