"Shuffled off his mortal coil... backwards" is an awesome joke.
4:31 Mulaney's reaction!!
with the norm impersonation to boot
@@chasbogatz Isn't that a Sammy Davis jr. impersonation, with the twisted mouth that was trademark Sammy?
"Was Cornell booked?" had me in pieces
Me too lol
"at this point you should just be brothers" is the type of John Mulaney humor that I love so much and I can't even explain why
Because it's funny. There. Explained!😁
Oddly specific and accurate lol
He nearly killed Sona in this episode. She was literally dying of laughter.
I was screaming laughing at that
“Married kids with a Giraffe as a witness”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This might be proof that Sona was actually poised to be a good and professional assistant, but Conan trolled her one too many times and we ended up with the Sona that we know today😂
Sona's superhero-turned-villain origin story
Conan canon confirmed!
3:30 it’s amazing how John Mulaney reacts to Sona’s laughter the same way Conan does, and goes in for the kill.
It’s like he smelled blood in the water. You can see it happen😂
People laughing uncontrollably is crack for comedians, they can't help themselves
I think the guys at my local radio station are fans, so they added to their morning show a girl that laughs like a chipmunk. It’s awful
A sweet moment: Conan is too humble to admit he has an honorary doctorate, and Sona can't wait to brag about it on his behalf
She proud of him, and not just because she's contractually obligated to be so 🥲
That's what she was hired for
@@mollybruce9739she wrote a book about how she didn't do her job 😅
Honorary degree means the university gave it to him without any course credit. Why would you want to admit to something like this? Universities usually give it to celebrities and/or major donors.
@@mollybruce9739 no, she was hired because she's just competent enough, but she laughs at EVERYTHING and that's Conan's life's blood
"You're 60 and you walk around with a dad." Lol.
Clocked it. Sona laughed almost non-stop for a minute fifteen seconds. Longest I ever heard her laugh 😃
You might need more hobbbies in your life if you're clocking the time on laughter.
@@KissMyAssassinSays the person going out of their way to belittle others.
@@jonathanbaird Clocked it. @mikedropped564 felt that sick burn for a non-stop minute twenty-four seconds. Longest burn felt since yesterday.
@@KissMyAssassin You might need a little more positivity in your life if youre trying to make an issue out of someone clocking laughter because they enjoyed it my guy😃
This thread is prime Conan fandom, the best fandom: Pointing out positive fun stuff, random individual tries to turn it negative, posse of positive people gather around to defend positive OP, and give the negative person a taste of their own medicine.
We maintain positivity around here, mates 👌
I love how loud the studio gets when Mulaney comes around. Everyone's laughing.
John Mulaney and David Byrne have been two of the best guests in recent memory; they bring out the best in Conan.
Very few people make Conan laugh harder than John. Maybe Bills Burr and Hader but I can't think of many people who break him up more
@@cleverusername9369 Yea, I left out Bill Hader, an absolute comedy treasure
@@cleverusername9369norm mcdonald made him laugh a lot too iirc
I’ve heard a lot of MJ jokes, but that one I think might take the cake. It’s such a ridiculous image, and it bares no resemblance with reality, yet everyone immediately gets it. Then the wording of it, and the cadence of the delivery. Like a short burst of brilliance from a jazz master. Priceless.
Michael Jackson once "married" his nine-year-old boy pal in a bizarre "mock wedding" ceremony at Neverland Ranch, according to a lawsuit exposed in Leaving Neverland documentary.
Neverland Ranch had giraffes.
Unless you somehow know the boys are lying, I think it lands pretty damn close to reality.
"Sona was a new hire when Michael Jackson shuffled off this mortal coil...backwards." Genius!
Conan sounds like such a funny boss - I would’ve been laughing so hard as soon as he asked me to call his lawyer to adopt Blanket
He's probably a fun guy to work for but not knowing when he was being serious would give me so much anxiety lol
He’s seems like an awesome boss…I love sarcasm. Also smart as a whip
I know sona ALWAYS laughs like a psycho but I was honestly getting concerned when she cackled at the michael Jackson bit😂😂😂
You're right! I never thought about it, but she does laugh like a psychopath!
She keeps getting more and more relatable.
Her laughter is *infectious* - I thought, that part was super funny
With that phone call no wonder Sona doesn't take anything Conan says seriously anymore.
Fr! 🤣🤣 the BALLS she had to hang up on him during her first few days Lolol.
He knew he hired the right person
I couldn’t work for Conan……..never know when he is being serious……..it would be fun though😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don’t think it gets better than how hard Sona laughed in this
3:33 Sona's laugh is so boisterous and contagious!
The fact that he has all this imaginary crazy made-up achievements that he spits out so fluently but has hard time accepting the real equally big ones is a big clue about how a person Conan is...Love U Coco for life 🧡🧡🧡
Those who read Sona's book are always delighting whenever they tell stories that she brought up in the book.
I didnt realize she had a book
3:42 - John sees that he's got Sona rolling, so he's just going to keep pushing that button as hard as he can.
love how John talks directly to Sona about the joke!
It's nothing but full on laughter with John Mulaney 🤣🤣🤣
The guy is truly special. It's why he's been the best host of SNL in recent years.
For me it was always "Mr *Friends names* Dad" as a joke.
If I had a friend called Sam, his dad would be "Mr Sam's Dad" and if I ever met their friend they were "Mr Sam's Dad's friend"
Even when they gave an alternative I'd stick to it.
I love this
I still do it. Wildcard, baby!
@@batoutofmel4959 no body wants a wildcard in their group, it doesnt make any sense there is no benefit to it
A very Irish comedic reunion of the Mulvaneys and O'Briens.
Uh, I believe you meant Mulaney.
@@cleverusername9369it’s a gag based on a Mulaney joke, similar to fans referring to him as a fierce Asian woman or a tired kid
I love Sona so much. Her laugh and substance abuse bring me great joy.
Her book is amazing if you're a Sona fan.
I thought on audio Sona was going to die laughing! 😂😂
Only Conan could possibly make that “mortal coil” Michael Jackson joke. So academic and yet so corny. Truly the crown professor of dad jokes.
RIP Sona, Mr. Mulaney just killed her.
Sona laughing is the podcasts fuel
The MJ joke from Mulaney had me in stitches in my uber ride. That was a sawed off shotgun of jokes.
"It wasn't Cornell, but...." 🤣
Oh my days, John Mulaney is a treasure.
It's easy to see why John Mulaney has been the best host of SNL in recent years.
He and David Byrne bring out the best in Conan.
Love Mulaney's sharp dry style with touch of noir.
4:32 cracks me up so much. Any joke that can get Mulaney to essentially go, "Jesus, dude" is a great joke.
Mr. Mulaney sounds so much like a teacher's name that you couldn't use it in a sitcom. It would be too on the nose.
Nothing better to watch than comedians laughing at/with other comedians. No ego/competition, just laughs.
I like it when Sona gets involved with the guests ;-) Fun one !
a CONAN and Mulaney podcast, just shooting the breeze... love it!
I love Sona. She is the audience we all need.
His speech at the college is probably one of the best there is! super funny and inspiring!
Thx to John¡! My daughter is now 16, I'm in my 40s and she loves your comedy. It's too funny, congratulations 👏 and much love Mr O'Brien
Mulaney almost killed Sona there.
sona's disregard for her job is starting to make sense...
Starting…?
I read Sonas book last weekend and it’s so funny that all the recent uploads on this channels are just rehashing stories from her book 😂
Wow Sona’s laugh
John is turning into his father demanding that kids call him Mr.! It's hilarious.
“Was Cornell booked” 😂
My new favorite comedy duo!😂
of all these podcasts i've listened to, this has to be the one Sona laughs the most in!
You should just be brothers 😂😂😂
“… they didn’t marry children, with a giraffe as a witness.” Is maybe the funniest MJ joke I’ve ever heard.
Just love Sona.
Sona´s laughter is just the best!
John Mulaney is my favorite person to listen talk. Just pure, relentless funny
Mr Conan being irritated on kids is 😂
I think the suit and the whole microphone 🎤 with the cord is what was classic
4:30 “Moonwalked off this mortal coil” is a great joke
the first and the last time Conan was able to fool Sona!
6:23 sick beat coco
That MJ joke…..Golden
I love Sona's laugh
3:35 Sonna has never ever laughed so much
"was Cornell booked" xD
The MJ bit is the hardest I’ve laughed at one of these podcast snippets
This video came up, I watched it, died to the MJ bit, and came here to comment about it only to realize I already had
"Sona & Mulaney" would be a great podcast in its own right.
Plausibility is the best! LOL!
Conan will always rule! 😎👍🏻
I remember when I was a little. Those were the days.
Matt, don't deprive us of your precious words.
“A lot of people have a negative take on it” 😂
How fast they correct Conan on not being a doctor is hilarious.
I don't think Sona laughed more with any other guest.
Sona's gonna die from laughing
The way he made Conan laugh was genuine.
Thank you Conan for the brief wormhole I went down about the "Boer Wars." Yes, fellow kids, it was a thing we've never heard of from history classes in the United States.
With the exception of Bill Burr´s, this is probably the funniest clip in this channel.
I just want to watch ten hours of Sona laughing.
The whole foods stroke guy came out for a second :)
The sheer number of times Sona laughs at work tells me she’s gonna live forever.
Tom Hanks: "Thanks Mr. Martin!"
Steve Martin: "Oh, please - call me Mr. STEVE Martin."
4:30 uuuuaaaaahhhhhhh
Love Conan forever for saying MJ "shuffled off this mortal coil.... backwards"
i always thought that despite being a goofball, conan would be a pretty strict dad. i wouldnt have expected for his kids to call him by his first name. not even as a tease ahahah
At 2:25 I think John sits up and brings up the idea of doing what your father did and therefore having no childhood because he knows he’s about to KILL with that MJ joke and he can’t wait. 2:25
" my son is in his late 50's" LOL
John definitely looks like a "Mr. Mulaney"
"Hard take on MJ."
😂
John’s shirt reminds me of one of those shirts cult leaders wear
I adore conan, he is in groucho Marx, Mel Brooks, Lee Mack s league (to name a few). He is a good show host (way better that Fallon, Kimmel, etc) but in fact, he s more than that. He s a genius of comedy. He s never better than when he is with Sona and Matt, he doesn't need any fckin stars, he s the star
Sonya has the best job in the world!! Love the laughter
Michael Jackson famously guest starred on the Simpsons. They could have known each other.
that's conan doing norm at 4:35
Actually I think it’s Dennis Miller he’s doing. Listen again.
John Mulaney reminds me of Agent Smith from the Matrix
That IS a Sammy Davis Jr. impersonation at 4.35, right? Someone else said a Norm (?) impersonation.
Conan, when are we getting more Final Space!?!?!?!!!!
Dying laughing at the end where the first reference he can think of after talking about Michael Jackson, a black man who arguably took on white characteristics later in life, is Al Jolson, a white man who did blackface.
There's some kind of intense thumping/thud noise overlaid on the soundtrack through the whole video. 2:33 for example. Using headphones.
Thought it was the neighbor but it's the video.
Idk about you guys but these past couple thumbnails have been looking like Conan’s a model
Imagine a little kid walking in and saying "Hey, Conester."
Or Consey, Coney. Isn't that what Adam Sandler always calls him
Backwards is hilarious
mr o'brien should be host to a revamped modern hollywood squares #rip torn #phyliss diller #dom deluise #phrenology #team coco 24! #tivo ai
