Great video. I have a question. My voltage reducer did not come with a pin housing connector, just 4 wires- 2 for input and 2 for output. With the reducer harness you recommended or the Madjax reducer harness, can I connect my voltage reducer up to the reducer harness via the wires or do I need to add a pin connector over the wires? Or do I just need a different voltage reducer? Thanks!
Great video. I just bought the deluxe light kit. I converted my club car precedent to lithium so I also bought a voltage reducer but it does not have pin connector or voltage reducer harness. I’d rather use what you show in your video but the link for that voltage reducer is no longer good. Do you have a link to one like you used?
Is there a wiring diagram? Also, trying to install blinker and brake light kit and the person that owned the cart before me installed a light kit. I thought it was plug and play, but not sure how they have it wired.
Great video. I Converted over to lithium as well but used Relion batteries. Now my lights, horn, blinkers wont work. I am assuming it is because i need that voltage reducer harness you mentioned. My question is, do you think i can just get that and plug it in or did i fry the old system? Everything else works, the cart runs etc. Thanks.
I am trying to see if i can save money by just getting the voltage reducer harness instead of buying the light kit and everything else. I bought the cart and it had a mad jax light kit already.
@@AJKInvestments If your light kit was wired up to 12-16v without a reducer and you hooked it up to 48v it will blow the light kit. If you just turned on your lights it only blew the lights but if you tried the horn and anything else it blew those as well since you sent more power then it can handle. You may need a whole light kit and the reducer. Most kits are set up for 12v. Parts are below if you would like to order. @@jbgolfcarts Thanks so much for the reply. I really appreciate it. I will order the new stuff. I believe mine had a madjax kit plus. Can you tag that one please?

@@jbgolfcarts I see. Thanks for the reply! Which voltage reducer and set up the best one in your opinion? I can always buy the other voltage reducer that you recommended if you think this way is better. It does seem more closed and cleaner that way.
Thanks for the video. I’d also like to commend you on the one-handed install whilst filming!

Very Good Video!!
where did you get the voltage reducer harness?
JBCarts.com
Didn't see the brake light swtich under the pedal assembly installed did I miss it?
Basic light kits don’t have active brake lights, turn signals or horn. Just on and off function.
@@jbgolfcarts Sorry Missed it was a Basic light kit, Merry Christmas
After install, the light switch has power at all times, regardless of the key switch. Not sure of the issue?
Forgot add it has everything power when flipped in tow or run.
Is the voltage reducer needed with 4 12v batteries?
In your light kit it’ll come with a blue wire that will connect under the black cover controller cover and to one battery making 12v
Your instructions should say which battery to connect the blue wire to. Just just any 12v
Where can I source a voltage reducer harness? It didn’t come with the light kit I purchased😒
Here you go: jbcarts.com/product/04-club-car-precedent-voltage-reducer-harness/
What is the purpose of the single gray wire?
Behind the dash?
@@jbgolfcarts yes, the one that plugs into the factory gray wire
@@chdavignon if you install a deluxe light kit that needs to be plugged in. On basic kits it doesn’t matter.
@@jbgolfcarts I understand, but do you know what the purpose of the wire is?
Its for the Tail Lights on the Deluxe Kit with Brakes and Turn signals@@chdavignon

No. You’ll need to run all new wires for that one. Check out my other videos and I have one for that reducer.
