    Can I use that same relay with a toggle switch rather than a key switch? I've got the same voltage reducer but struggling to wire it all in a Yamaha Drive 48v system. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

      You can use the same relay, if the toggle switch you are using, is being fed with 48 volts.
      That is a 48 volt relay.
      If you are planning on only using 12 volts, then you need to get a 12 volt relay.

      It could be lots of things, bad switch, bad bulbs, wire came loose, wire not hooked up, etc. It should be an easy fix and easy find.
      See if there is voltage in and thru the switch, check the bulbs for continuity.

      It's hard to know what you mean "stumbling"?
      If it feels like a "hesitation", for a brief second or 2, then rebukes back to normal, then I think your mcor is going out.
      Try this, turn key off, stomp the go pedal up and down about 10 times. Then turn key on and drive, and see if it got better ( it's only temporary). If it got better, then definitely it's the mcor.
      If it is not hesitating, but actually " bucking", then it's a battery issue

      @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900  3 роки тому

      when you say you are getting voltage to the lights, are you unplugging the connector at the headline, and are getting 12 volts from touching the hot and the negative wires at the headlight itself? If so then I would say the bulbs blew out. Do a continuity check on the headlite bulbs to verify they are good, before going any farther.

    • @dougolsan4245
      @dougolsan4245 3 роки тому

      @@waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900 We do have continuity on the headlight bulbs. One other note. The old headlights were working fine at one point. Then at they just stopped working. That's when I ordered the new headlight assembly. So, I was wondering if there just some ground wire that actually completed the circuit that maybe got knocked loose? We get voltage from the battery to the switch and the switch has continuity. Then we just kept following that out to the headlight and everything keeps coming back as 'good'. Thanks for your ideas, they are helpful!

    • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
      @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900  3 роки тому

      Doug, try jumping the headlite switch, even though you say it had continuity, still touch the switch leg wire with 12 volts and see it they come on.
      Then you are gonna have to just follow the negative wire path, from one end to the other, you will eventually find a break or cut wire probably.
