Great video! The birds at Wat Phnom are Great Hornbills. The pink flower at Wat Onaloum is called a cannonball tree or sal tree. Hope you come back again!
What an informative and well produced video! I'm visiting Phnom Penh in January for my first holiday in Asia, I'm looking forward to seeing all these locations for myself!

Yes, but only in Cambodia. You can also use Grab in all of SE Asia, we were using PassApp as we were having credit card issues with Grab and with PassApp you just pay with cash.
@@Farawaynow Thanks. You have been very helpful. I plan on using Grab while in Thailand and PassApp in Cambodia. Hope you don't mind one more question, how can I ensure the driver would not overcharge the cost of the ride.
You can legally work in Cambodia. It is fairly easy to obtain the business visa extension and work permit. As for finding work it will depend greatly on your work experience and type of job/industry you are looking at.
NIce video but... why such a loud music? Why so much noise? Are you afraid that what you're going to say is so uninteresting that you need so cream to cover it? So be reassured, we're interested in what you're showing and telling us. We JUST DON'T NEED this loud music!!
The Khmer Rouge genocide was possible partly by the king that you were standing in front of his stupa. Can you imagine most Cambodians still think he is their god after he had done that?
I had a long conversation with a older Cambodian man that was very eye opening. He basically conveyed that many were waiting for him to be gone and that many people believe he could have stopped it.
I'm Cambodian. I feel neutral about it. He's no where near God to me. But you should know that the U.S. and China were actually joining hands to destroy Cambodia during that time, and most Cambodians are now still putting the U.S. on the pedestal. First, it began when the U.S. wanted to combat the communist force in North Vietnam. Thus, the U.S. had plotted to overthrow him (the King) in 1970. It was an illegal coup because most Cambodians still worshipped him as the sole leader of the country. The U.S. bombed the innocent Cambodia as if the people's lives have no value at all. Then, things fell into chaos. The king started to get closer to Mao's China. By 1975, the U.S. got out of Indochina and thus Cambodia fell into Pol Pot's communist grip. This is where the real tragedy began. You should note that during that time China was still very weak, and the absolute opponent of the U.S. was USSR who supported Vietnam. China was also at odd with USSR in that period. It's during that way the positive diplomacy between the U.S. and China began. The U.S. and China actually condemned Vietnam for invading Cambodia to topple Khmer Rouge in 1979. To sum up, the U.S. and China (backed Khmer Rouge) used innocent Cambodia as their chase board. Both countries should be hated as much as the person you mentioned. But I think Cambodia should learn from and looked forward. The person who mentioned had gone now. This era is completely different. Cambodia is still worshipping the U.S. by using USD and learning American-English (in case you think China is colonizing Cambodia). Cambodia fell into chaos and genocide largely due to geopolitical conflicts between majors. It was a small and helpless country.
@@jakepanther8132 That is very true. But remember, Sihanouk declared sovereignty to his country Cambodia. Yet, he was the one who allowed China to use Cambodian port to transport weapons to North Vietnamese in South Vietnam. He opened his border for North Vietnamese to create Ho Chi Minh trail in Cambodian soil. And worse of all, it was Sihanouk who called his people to join him with the Khmer Rouge to fight Lon Nol regime. Khmer Rouge could not become a significant force without Sihanouk with North Vietnamese. This is not an opinion. It's facts.

Their fantastic angkor wat is the main draw.
Yes, we went to Ankor Wat several years ago before we were making videos. I’m sure we will go back sometime,
Ok
Thanks for watching
Would you please share the name of the App to order Tuk Tuk ride, thanks
It's called PassApp.
@@Farawaynow Super, thanks. Would the PassApp also work in Siem Reap?

PassApp quotes the price on the app and the driver is agreeing to that price for the ride. It is often ridiculously low so we usually tip.
🥰
What's the hotel name that you stayed? How did you book it?
We booked through Airbnb, the building is called the M Residence.
