I am in my 50s and aftermath of the Cambodian war and I have never wanted to see or hear, or read about my home country Cambodia, due to the great traumatic experiences of childhood. I am watching you on UA-cam now it is like a journey of self coming to see what I had left behind as a child yet the nightmare still follows to this day I want to thank you for all the videos that you have done in my country, you’ve done this old heart much much needed reconciliation. Thank you.
i had traveled the world before i came to Cambodia 20 years ago, i live here now, the folks are warm and friendly, basic types full of smiles and vision, the youth are looking at a very bright future, education is the key to unlock a great future
Hi sir.. watching your vlog in Cambodia , I'm Je from the Philippines. I really like how you present your vlog, it's very informative and educational.. we're planning to visit Cambodia hopefully soon 🙏
Extraordinary people. So gorgeous inside and out. Love that your thumbnail shows what a Cambodian woman looks like. Tan with high cheekbones and very balanced. Really stunning. The people are so kind. They make the country. Didn’t know till a tour guide explained that Cambodia used to be the 3rd largest after China and India. Amazing history and culture
Thank you for this insight into Cambodia. I am planning to visit Malaysia from mid October for 3 months but you have now inspired me to visit Cambodia for one of those months instead.
Ye, it's due to a combination of western misrepresentation and being uninformed of Cambodia's ancient history, recent developments as well as the scenic beaches, beautiful wilderness and the peaceful charm of the Cambodian people, that meant I'd never considered visiting Cambodia, and to be honest I didn't even know where Cambodia was, and thought Angkor Wat was in india. Nice looking and interesting country. Good marketing!
I was fascinated by the video from the first episode, there were different scenes, but what was the same was the smiles of the people, even though Cambodia had just gone through a long war. Thanks for showing the world.
As a Cambodian, I am thank you so much for making a wonderful video about Cambodia 🇰🇭 such as tourism , the some places like Angkor Wat in Seam Riep or sea, foods are delicious and once more about the people here they are very friendly☺️ to each others that come to visit in Cambodia. In Khmer language ខ្ញុំពិតជាអរគុណ🙏🙏សម្រាប់វិឌីដូមួយនេះ សូមអរគុណច្រើន❤️
In Siem Reap, you may spend a week or even more time to explore because there are many temples around Angkor Wat temple. Thank for visit Cambodia. Have a great day!
Cambodia is just like a new kid in the block as they have come a long way since the official civil war was ended in late 1998. They started to rebuild the country from ground zero as the country was in total ruins and the families were torn apart. Most of my family members did not survive as we were forced to leave Phnom Penn City when the Khmer Rouge Pol Pot took over the country back in 1975. I was in my last year of my high school years and it was like hell on earth that we had to live through that very long and brutal four years. Only memories live on. I had to leave Sihanoukville Town in late 1979 by boat and almost die in the uncharted sea and I have returned to visit this changing country every year for the last 10 years since my retirement to heal the past. I'm able to locate my only surviving sister who still lives in the city. It was seemed like yesterday. Be mindful and be kind whenever possible. Life is short to do the thing we don't love doing but life is very precious. Go to visit Angkor Wat Temples before you die my friends. Peace out from a genocide survivor!
Thank you for promoting my country. We always welcome you to visit our country again. Not just one person can visit our country, we dare to ensure the safety of our country, happy, forget the worries you have in mind. The people are friendly and warm, especially the natural forest attractions to help you deal with any worries you may have. Once again, we thank those who helped spread the word about Cambodia to the world. ❤❤
I would love to visit and help people in this country. I do sports and also enjoy doing travel video of places. Would love to have some tips on nice places and the unsafe areas
Your video is honest and we love honesty. Your video brought back some beautiful memories of Cambodia. Most of the bad things we had figured out already.
Thank you for providing this glimpse of what's it like in Cambodia!! It was a lot of fun to watch while eating some nice food as well! Have a nice day!
Love your style! You have a very good camera, looks nice on my neo QLED 🤩🤩🤩. You give very good info. You Don't pretend every squary inch is fabulous. Not acting like a tuff guy of show off. You Talk with locals. It gives the real sense of the places you go to. Keep up the good work!
Great video, that manages to capture every major part of the country. I live in Phnom Penh; the capital city. I haven't been to all of these places, but I can highly recommend Siem Reap. It's very 'laid back' and picturesque.
A beautiful journey! I was in Cambodia❤ in 2020 and enjoyed a lot despite the short time. One of the most beautiful things I liked is that people are kind and kind, smiling at the visitor and coping great. Nature and the places I visited such as the museum, the palace, the river, the experience of local food and the river voyage in the boat are some of the most beautiful things I've done. It is a beautiful, safe and cheap country in living and living. I hope to visit Cambodia again.
I want to visit Cambodia so much! I can’t wait to go, such a beautiful country with important history and culture. I also love the Buddhism practice there. I love the lesser talked about Asian countries. ❤🇰🇭🇰🇭
Cambodia looks so beautiful and affordable. Angkor Wat is a must-see for sure, and I’ve heard great things about the beaches in Sihanoukville. Thanks for sharing.
Love this overview of Cambodia! 🇰🇭 From the stunning Angkor Wat to the peaceful Kampot, our country has so much to offer. Proud to see our rich culture and history being shared!
My piece of advice is always have US cash on you while travelling. Many hotels we stayed in said online that they took credit card but in fact staff didn’t know how to use machines, or just did not have. Especially true on the islands around Koh Rong. One of our favorite trips for sure! Cambodia was such a special place and always felt safe!
As a Cambodian who has been subscribe to you for a long time and watched almost all of your video, I do not believe that you are visiting my country. thanks for sharing this to the world and enjoy your trip Slava 👍
I LOVE CAMBODIA ! I have lived in Siem Reap for 5 years and I can't say enough good things about it. I love the khmer people. Thanks for sharing this video ❤🙏
Right on. Been here 6 years and have a bar, restaurant, scooter business, rental units, tour business, fruit stand all accomplished in the 6th month of moving to Battambang from beautiful British Columbia Canada. I strongly suggest making a holiday in Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. But hete is special. Locals smile from the heart. This video is very true to the way it is here. Well done my man.
Cambodia is beautiful, it reminds me of Indonesian culture as it has similarities. we share the same culture dated back from the kingdom of Chenla and Javan Sailendra and also Srivijaya. seeing the historical relics really takes me back to Borobudur and even Arjuna temple up high in Dieng Plateau. ancient Cambodian king Jayavarman II used to reside in Java, wow we used to be a big family long a go. Greetings and huge love from your neighbor Indonesia! hope next year I can visit Cambodia.
Funan Kingdom (mean Mountain kingdom) born from a mix royal family of Mon Khmer Kalinga and Javanese from first AD. after collapse of Funan Kingdom (Start from 5th-7th AD), some Royal family from Funan Kingdom moved to create Shailendra Kingdom in Indonesia. Chenla Kingdom( on sandstone script called Kambuja Desa) and Shailendra Kingdom( has been called the King of the Mountain) has many things in common from 8th to 11th century. (Kalinga Peoples we still found them in Indonesia and Philippine.)
@@kakasongr That is true, the difference only with the majority religion in the area now, but knowing our root would give a far broader understanding that the shared culture is planted deeper way in our life and we should see the difference in beliefs as a spice instead of a threat to the culture variety and society. I really love your videos and thank you so much for visiting us 🫶🏻💗🇰🇭 I think you miss the sea side province that near to the west coast called Koh Kong province. That’s an insane province and beautiful seaside too with another waterfall places too ❤
Come here just after knowing about combodian genocide in 1975-79 .. Dont know about it till today its so sad that people from this beautiful country had to suffer so much ..hello to all the combodian people ❤
During World War II, the national liberation movement occurred worldwide. In Vietnam, we borrowed a part of cambodia's border as a base for the liberation army, with the permission of King Sihanouk. While visiting China, King Sihanouk was deposed and lost power. This led to the birth of the Khmer Rouge regime with the tactic of destroying all obstacles through massacre. 2 million people out of a total population of 7 million died. Because of the help in the past, and also because of the worry that there is always a terrorist organization lying next to us. Vietnam sent troops to help the Cambodian liberation army destroy the Pon Pot army and retreated to the country after helping the friendly army strengthen the government. I don't understand why the Cambodians hate Vietnamese people. It is not an invasion. Without Vietnam, you would continue to be brutally ruled by terrorists, but would not have the health to develop like today. It was China that provided finance to the Khmer Rouge army, leading to the deaths of Cambodian people.
Cambodia looks amazing in this country documentary! Affordable and full of potential, can't wait to visit someday!

Civil war ended in 1998 ?? I arrived in 1996 and there was no "'civil War" in Cambodia. The war ended in 1979.
@@timothy4557 Some Khmer Rouge guerilla were hiding and fighting in the rural part
@jemappllesphan6143 That's correct. In Kampot for instance, the Khmer Rouge surrendered in Phnom Vor in 1996.
