I am in my 50s and aftermath of the Cambodian war and I have never wanted to see or hear, or read about my home country Cambodia, due to the great traumatic experiences of childhood. I am watching you on UA-cam now it is like a journey of self coming to see what I had left behind as a child yet the nightmare still follows to this day I want to thank you for all the videos that you have done in my country, you’ve done this old heart much much needed reconciliation. Thank you.

Cambodia is just like a new kid in the block as they have come a long way since the official civil war was ended in late 1998. They started to rebuild the country from ground zero as the country was in total ruins and the families were torn apart. Most of my family members did not survive as we were forced to leave Phnom Penn City when the Khmer Rouge Pol Pot took over the country back in 1975. I was in my last year of my high school years and it was like hell on earth that we had to live through that very long and brutal four years. Only memories live on. I had to leave Sihanoukville Town in late 1979 by boat and almost die in the uncharted sea and I have returned to visit this changing country every year for the last 10 years since my retirement to heal the past. I'm able to locate my only surviving sister who still lives in the city. It was seemed like yesterday. Be mindful and be kind whenever possible. Life is short to do the thing we don't love doing but life is very precious. Go to visit Angkor Wat Temples before you die my friends. Peace out from a genocide survivor!

Cambodia is beautiful, it reminds me of Indonesian culture as it has similarities. we share the same culture dated back from the kingdom of Chenla and Javan Sailendra and also Srivijaya. seeing the historical relics really takes me back to Borobudur and even Arjuna temple up high in Dieng Plateau. ancient Cambodian king Jayavarman II used to reside in Java, wow we used to be a big family long a go. Greetings and huge love from your neighbor Indonesia! hope next year I can visit Cambodia.

Funan Kingdom (mean Mountain kingdom) born from a mix royal family of Mon Khmer Kalinga and Javanese from first AD. after collapse of Funan Kingdom (Start from 5th-7th AD), some Royal family from Funan Kingdom moved to create Shailendra Kingdom in Indonesia. Chenla Kingdom( on sandstone script called Kambuja Desa) and Shailendra Kingdom( has been called the King of the Mountain) has many things in common from 8th to 11th century.
(Kalinga Peoples we still found them in Indonesia and Philippine.)

Those good are good, good people belief in good teaching, and let us all just live in harmony.

Some of those Chinese Casinos are known to harbor kidnapped women used for sex trafficking. They are part of Economic Exclusion Zones where the local authority has no jurisdiction. They have these zones in multiple countries outside of China. Girls can easily dissappear, because they can easily hide kidnapped people in these zones without worrying about it being investigated. A lot of kidnapped women are Taiwanese because they are who the Chinese prefer. It's really crazy and scary that they allow this to happen. I learned a lot about it listening to youtubers like Jordan Harbinger and the ADV podcast guys.

During World War II, the national liberation movement occurred worldwide. In Vietnam, we borrowed a part of cambodia's border as a base for the liberation army, with the permission of King Sihanouk. While visiting China, King Sihanouk was deposed and lost power. This led to the birth of the Khmer Rouge regime with the tactic of destroying all obstacles through massacre. 2 million people out of a total population of 7 million died. Because of the help in the past, and also because of the worry that there is always a terrorist organization lying next to us. Vietnam sent troops to help the Cambodian liberation army destroy the Pon Pot army and retreated to the country after helping the friendly army strengthen the government.
I don't understand why the Cambodians hate Vietnamese people. It is not an invasion. Without Vietnam, you would continue to be brutally ruled by terrorists, but would not have the health to develop like today. It was China that provided finance to the Khmer Rouge army, leading to the deaths of Cambodian people.

This video showcasing Cambodia as an affordable country with immense potential is truly enlightening! Cambodia is a hidden gem in Southeast Asia, offering a wealth of cultural, historical, and natural wonders for travelers to explore.
The video does a fantastic job of highlighting the country's unique attractions and experiences. From the awe-inspiring temples of Angkor, such as Angkor Wat and Bayon, to the charming streets of Phnom Penh and the pristine beaches of Sihanoukville, Cambodia offers a diverse range of destinations that cater to every traveler's interests.
The affordability of Cambodia is a definite advantage, making it an accessible destination for budget-conscious travelers. I appreciate the emphasis on the rich cultural heritage of Cambodia. The video showcases traditional dance performances, local markets, and authentic cuisine, providing a glimpse into the vibrant and unique Khmer culture. It's inspiring to see how Cambodia is preserving its traditions and sharing them with visitors.
Additionally, the video touches upon the country's natural beauty, including the floating villages of Tonle Sap Lake and the lush landscapes of Mondulkiri. These off-the-beaten-path destinations offer a chance to connect with nature and experience the country's rural charm.

I strongly suggest making a holiday in Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. But hete is special. Locals smile from the heart. This video is very true to the way it is here. Well done my man.

I have lived in Cambodia for almost 10 years, and consider the weather here to be the best in the world. Westerners come a dis the weather as they hide in there air conditioned hotel rooms. Before Calmbodia I lived in Thailand and the first day there, I went out to clean my patio. In a few minutes I was sweating bullets, so I dicided to set up a pattern of behavior which would enable me to adapt, and it worked. Now I mountain bike a mid day in temp or 94F or highter and do not even sweat. Inave never here a Cambodian complain about the weather. My complaint is about how cold the Cambodians keep there Restaurants, coffee shops and shopping malls. I always take a sweater when I visit one of those places.

I live in California where the weather can get very hot. I don't even turn on my air conditioning until it's over 90 degree. I love HOT weather, anything below 75 degree is COLD to me. My comfort zone is 80 to 90 degree. Wish the I could have weather like that year round! I hate going to my doctor's office as they keep the temp at 70 degree which feels freezing COLD to me!

In 2011 I and my Filipina wife after visiting Thailand made our way over to Cambodia and we enjoyed it. Back then the country was obviously more primitive tourist-wise than Thailand and people were all using US $Dollars then. Still though we liked it as everything was SLOWER than Thailand and it gave us some good time to also take everything in slower! Angkor Wat was especially interesting for me as I used to do Mayan tours around Central America! Since our time there I know the Chinese have invested heavily into the country and we hope its for everyone's best interest!

The pictures remind me strongly of Thailand over thirty years ago. Back then, the Thais' roads were bad, their pickup trucks were old, and Western long-term residents were very welcome. Nowadays everything is the other way around... That's why after thirty-three years in Thailand I sold everything there (apartment, motorcycles, household) and bought a house and land in Cambodia in my partner's village. I have absolutely no regrets, really!! Every day is like a journey back in time to my youth (the 80s and 90s in Thailand. But as it is, prosperity will also change the Khmer!! But I won't experience that anymore, I'm looking forward to my retirement in a nice way Village with my partner.

I was here in '73/'74, when very few Americans could even land there. Cambodia is beautiful beyond words (when it isn't the rainy season) and the people are warm and welcoming, (when they aren't killing each other by the millions.) If I was young and single and untethered, I'd consider exploring Cambodia in depth.
