18:24 It's called Nom Ka Chhai or Chive Cakes. It's like Dough mixing with chive and garlic. Sweet fish sauce is a must and she added chilli sauce plus red chilli paste. That's a perfect combo. Now m getting hungry 😋. Can't wait to go visit my hometown this year !!!
At 15:00 the rice noodle dish I’ve always called it “nom ban chok tuk treh” meaning rice noodles with fish sauce. I also love that dish I grew up eating that since childhood and still enjoy it. We have so many delish food 🤤
I went to that stand because of this video in 2022. Excellent food for being 6000 miles away from California or Mexico. Dude is super chill and down to earth. I hope he is still thriving. Cambodia doesnt know about Mexican food but last I heard Tiktok trends in his area brought him loads of business.
That’s a typical Cambodian papaya salad. I remembered eating it in the 60s. I miss it, I miss all of Cambodian street food. I love them all. Thank you for sharing our food to the world.

It is quite entertaining to see a foreigner enjoy our street food that much. I am sure that during filming a lot of people on the street looked at you in amaze. The guy with Honda Moto is the seller of Nhorm Lahong “papaya salad” and the noodle is called Num Banhchok. And the lady sells “num Kuchhai” or Chive cake, my favorite street food.
Chris! Welcome to the Kingdom of Wonder! Loving your content! I'm American and have been living in Siem Reap, Cambodia for 10 years running photography tours throughout the country. The noodle dish you had is called yam lahon. (spelling I'm sure is wrong) It a type of a papaya salad with a sweet fish sauce. Keep up the solid content!

Hi Chris thanks for your food tour , it makes feel at home 😁 The cake that you mentioned it call Cambodian chive cake it was baked with simple rice flavor , no potatos 😊 Bonne apétit see U
Thank you for visiting my country! It's nice to see Americans traveling to Cambodia to do a food tour. It doesn't happen too often. I'm from Fresno, CA & the Boba tea here is around $5-6. It's deal💲 over there! Hope you have a safe travel and have fun.
Hi keke. We're close. I'm from oakland cali. I love drinking milk tea too but it is so unhealthy. I used to be addicted to it. Now I drink in moderation. How old r u?
Bravo to u Chris for trying the frog which is out of your comfort zone 👏 You're def right to try something once when you're in a new country. I wish to travel again someday. Right now just living thru u and your UA-cam vids 😃😁

YaY Chris you tried the frog! Well done you! I was very impressed by your willingness to be so open to new things....I am not sure I could do it without knowing what I am eating.....but you might just have inspired me. My favourite was definitely the pancake....spice and all. You and Gladys are opening up a whole new world with your videos.....looking forward to the next one 🤩😁😊
Loving your experience with the street in PP, Kingdom of Wonder… you pick super yummy food, chicken noodle soup, chive cakes, Khmer waffle, noddle salad ( need to mix well)..
Enjoying your vids and yes, I really like the barbecued frog, the one I had was filed with herbs and spice, delicious. I believe the frogs are from the rice fields and very clean.
The noodle salad you had on the street near Russian market was called “Nhoam L’Hong” (technically Vietnamese version of papaya salad with rice noodle, pork skin, freshwater krill, mixed basils and fish sauce). And the pancake is Chive pancakes/rice cake, in Khmer we call it Nom Kuchive. I believe the first meal you had at central market was a Vietnamese rice noodle soup.
Thank you Chris for sharing your Cambodian street food experience. I am now addicted to your channel as well as Gladys one. Thinking of going there maybe next year for a short holiday. Watching your video might be a great help. Anyway wish you the very best wherever you are and please stay safe and healthy. Take care & God bless! Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed Cambodia Chris. Never knew you were from Long Beach. There's a sizable Cambodian population in Long Beach and even a Cambodia Town there. You should visit there and make a video one day.
Glad to see you're still out there! Cambodia is a cool place! Never made it to Serbia, though. Oh, you already KNOW how much boba tea is here in Los Angeles!
That's really good to see you review food in Cambodia. Hope you will try other dishes such as traditional food or traditional sweet. They're really amazing.
