This Video is so well done I feel even paying to see it, is still a bargain! I've used it countless times as a second step after Bricky's to introduce friends to W40k, like a Masters Degree of sorts. Can't wait to see the next one. Thank you for all the wonderful work.
I am beside myself 🙏 it’s Warrior Tier! This video is incredible, but not only that. It’s the type of art that pulls you in and doesn’t let you out. Thank you! We all appreciate what you do.
Infinite and the Divine has some of the funniest dumb moments. Also, Trazyns shenanigans during the fall of cadia are great too. His bargain with Cawl to steal Creed instead is really funny.
For 10,000 years they debated. This was unheard of and scandalously fast.... I had to take a minute and read that over and over again just to wrap my head around it.
Just having some fun with the intro lol. This video really got me. So incredibly well done. Thoughts on Trazyn the Infinite? Come drop into the discord: discord.gg/v3yret2n
Small Reminder: Trazyn is an unreliable narrator, especially the parts about his race being worthy (who exactly measures that?) of the entire Galaxy and Immortality.
Ah yes, the alien British museum that is Trazyn. Always will "borrow" artifacts from every species, with force if needed. That mixed with his lively personality compared to other necrons makes him a very fun character. Pancreas No Works has a great Trazyn vid if your interested
Bricky's videos are the perfect introduction to the world of 40k, Warrior Tier's ones are the Master's Degree! Loving your passion for knowledge about this interesting and enjoying Universe. The Emperor protects, Brother!
Warhammer is so dense that often the best way to piece everything together is just hearing the same information over and over presented in different ways and I could see you starting to make some of those connections here. That feeling of putting a piece of the puzzle in place and understanding it in context with everything else you've learned is an addicting feeling and one I still chase after 10 years of being into the universe. The Fall of Cadia during the 13th Black Crusade is one of my favorite events and one of the most important in the lore. The Cadian guard is so bad ass that they became the standard for the guard across the entire Imperium. Cadia itself is very interesting and has very interesting lore around it especially when you get a lot deeper into the theory crafting. Definitely worth looking into if/when you're interested. The entire into to the game "Battle Fleet: Gothic Armada II" is this story told through gameplay and some of the most epic cutscenes ever made and its absolutely beautiful and tragic. There are videos of it on UA-cam, but you need the ones that include some of the gameplay to get the full context.
I also heard of this "collector" and simply thought to myself it was a cool idea. Not even 4 minutes into this, I need to watch the original video first and just experience that before I come back to this. Im so excited for both ends of that spectrum! Be back asap
If you really want your mind blown as to the gap between Slaanesh and the other 3s creation. From inside the perspective of the Warp, once Slaanesh came into being she always had existed since the dawn of time. Welcome to the warp, where effect can happen before cause.
The Fall of FULGRIM & the EMPEROR'S CHILDREN is a very good video by Warrior Tier. The INFAMOUS Necron Blood Angels Team-Up EXPLAINED by Weshammer is awesome too.
Audible is definitely your friend for Warhammer books. If you have any tasks to do that you can sort of do without concentration. A lot of my work is so ingrained that I hardly need pay attention. I can listen to books while I work. But sometimes I will listen to Audible stuff while working out, doing house chores or playing games
You should see if there is a video that goes over some of the most crazy stuff in Trazyns vault/Gallery because there is some massive galaxy changing stuff in there. Even things like clones of chaos primarchs before they betrayed so they still have loyalist ideals towards the Imperium.
Tehnically speaking since the Warp basically has no laws of time, even though in the our dimension (Where the laws of time apply) Slaanesh was "birthed" houndreds of thousands of years after Khorne, Tzeench and Nurgle, In the Warp they were all birthed at the same time (or so the theory goes). It's really a mindmelter when you try and think about stuff like that when dealing with 2 dimensions, one with laws of space and the other without any. As Trazyn would say, Its really fascinating. Also yes the theory/story that the Emperor is basically a culmination of souls from shamans that sacrificed themselves in order to create a being capable of saving humanity from Chaos. And him basically being born as a warp entity who took shape as a man is also an awesome and cool twist on his character and really adds a lot to why he makes some of the decisions he does in the story.
When it comes to the Fall of Cadia, you should read the book of the same name for the full context but the 15 minute intro cutscene of BattleFleet Gothic Armada 2 focuses on the fall, Nothing of it's consequences though.
The Void Dragon is basically the myth of St George and the Dragon, how the hell he got it to Mars is never explained but he's an Athiest God Emperor so who knows.
also of note, the empire forbids creating new technology or knowledge really only stuff from uncorrupted STC is allowed, meanwhile the techpriest on mars gather all kinds of tech and knowledge they can find and yet they literally have the eater of knowledge imprisoned beneath them.
You got to read "The Fall of Cadia." Trayzn makes an appearance and adds a lot of levity to one of the most tragic events to the Imperium of man. After reading that you gotta read Emperor's legion as it takes place on Terra right as Cadia falls.
OMG, did Trazyn mentioned that the golden throne could be Necron Technology? Need to explore more on this, he also closed the video with that idea of Humans as a possibility for Necrons to return to the flesh? WHAT? The 41K's are getting really juicy
"Deus Ex Machina" refers to a plot device in writing when a unsolveable Problem in a story is suddenly or abruptly resolved unexpected and unlikely occurrence. Its is looked down upon as a plot device because it means the writer introduces something unexpectedly that solves the plot, which can feel lazy or like something that wasn`t achieved. I`d argue that Trazyn the Infinite is ultimately a "Deus Ex Machina" in the 40k universe. You see if the authors ever write themselfs in a corner and need something, they can just say Trazyn has it, has him, her, them in stasis. You need a full equiped veteran army good at dealin with your specific problem Trazyn got that for sure. You need a full space Marine Chapter to save the day, there is surely one of those lost (collected) Chapters somewere in his collection. Powerfull lost technology once wielded by mankind, he has the scematics, the maschine that made it and probably the inventor in stasis. Hell, you need a Primarch or two, our boy Trazyn "Deus Ex Machina" made manifest probably has you covered. I know what i am about to argue is weird and not correct but i`d like to think that warhammer 40ks lore is so awesome that they literally turned a concept writing concept "Deus Ex Machina" into a character, because unless its a whole planet or a whole species Trazyn theoretically can have anything and everything is his collection.
Trazyn the infinite vs Orikan the Diviner is a extremely good book - It even has some hilarious moments so dark but so fitting for the necron race - The audiobook is also recommended. Only a being where time is counted in eons would accidently cause an exterminatus level event and then not understanding they were the cause of it just because they were trying to kill each other. :D Fair warning though - For a race that defeated and enslaved their own Gods - a 1on1 fight between two rivals spanning several millenia is going to be absolutely ridiculous and spoiler: They absolutely are.
One thing to remember, time has no meaning in the warp. So in theory, slaanesh has always existed there. It's confusing, but once, a demon chased a space marine around trying to kill him only to find out later that that space marine's murder was what created the demon. Lol, weird shit!
It isn't entirely accurate mind you. He skips over why he thinks the golden throne is of Necron origin because there's no basis for that (it requires an enormously powerful psyker to operate and the Necrons had none). The Emperor seemingly built on the core of it using a lot of different Xenos technology, including Eldar.
Yes the war in heaven lastet roughly 5 million years. For context, humanity is only about 160000 years old. Also the longest war ever fought by humanity is considerde the "reconquista" spanning about 781 years. The war in heaven by contrast was literally one gigantic war spanning an entire galaxy
