    I feel like Munky is the guy that spends all his free time going over his gear and remembers every detail about it... while Head is the guitarists that's played so many guitars over the years he's just happy so long as it works and doesn't go out of tune.

    • @LeadMe2TheBliss

      Pretty much. Munk is the gearhead and Head just seems to have a talent from a higher power. Brian is definitely the secret ingredient in the Korn that makes them KoЯn, without Brian they just weren't as good in my opinion!

      @@Malum09 yeah in the video Munky said it broke his heart when he had to give it to Head. Because Steve Vai had signed the back of the headstock.
      What’s cool about the swirl paint job is no two are ever the same. Because it’s real alcohol-based paint that they put in a water vat where it rests on the surface. Then they literally dip the whole guitar body into it and the paint just immediately bonds to the white primer.

      Brian doesn't need to be a tech guy he has money to hire people to take care of his guitars and amps. He just has to show up and play the songs to the best of his ability. That is a great perk for him though, because he needs to be focusing on writing songs for us fans not wasting time working on his guitars and amps.

    Head talking about how he always had tuning problems is funny because all the Ibanez’s KoRn played throw the years had the Floyd Rose Locking Tremolo systems. It’s main purpose was to keep the guitars in tune.

    • @SavedbyGraceAlone84
      @SavedbyGraceAlone84 3 роки тому

      Uhhh Floyd Rose do have a locking nut to help keep tuning from going out when using the tremolo but they are not known for tuning stability when used extensively. Also lower tuning, particularly the low B (in his case A) is harder to keep tune at a lower gauge string (they used .060 on a 25.5 inch scale guitar) which is a bitch to keep tuned properly without a floating trem let alone a floating trem. The evertune solves that problem. Its pretty amazing. I have one of the Ibanez RG7620 that they used before their signatures came out. I also have two evertune equipped guitars and they play amazing. Its night and day from a Floyd Rose.

      @@SavedbyGraceAlone84 I had a KoRn signature K7 model. I sold it last yeah. I never had tuning problems and I keep it in Korn’s low tuning. It was alway in tune. This was the first year 2001 model, the Japanese models. Really collectible now. The heaviest sounding Ibanez ever made. Because of the mahogany body and pickups used. Only reason I sold it was because it felt too much like a KoRn guitar. It would’ve been so much better with a clean fret bored instead of the big K7 inlay.

      Brian is the mastermind in the studio though and has an incredible knack for writing alt metal/nu metal riffs. You can almost say he has a talent from a higher power. Munky is a solid player too and has been active in bands since 1989, which sounds crazy, but Munky, Fieldy, and David were members of the band LAPD from 1989-1991 and they even got a small-time record deal. Then they formed Creep with Brian, and then they replaced the singer from Creep with Jon and named themselves Korn.

    Was really cool to see him still have that guitar @ 12:52 funny enough 20 years ago he allegedly gave it to Head for breaking some of his, so Head must've forgiven him for it at some point.. you can see Head with it in that 7th Heaven clip ua-cam.com/video/oKsGpl6lgbk/v-deo.html gotta really mean sound, wish they took it out on stage more

    Ugh the camera is so blurry and the close ups weren't close enough, you can't get their EQ settings when they zoom in on the amp. Maybe next time when you guys do these videos, zoom in real good on the amp knows for people that want their amp settings.

      Imagine if they tried tuning a step down on an 8 string, EADGCFAD with that E being a whole octave lower than the low E on a standard tuned 6 string.
