When she kind of whispers "I love you, too." 😍 This is my favorite scene! They don't have movies like this anymore. I love movies from the late 80s and 90s!
Me too. I can imagine Jack growing as a character if they had done it that way, but Peter and Sylvia together does make more sense and warms your heart.
In 1987, she has a daughter with Sam Malone In 1990, she married Magnum PI By 2011, she's married (with three additional daughters) to Tim "The Toolman" Taylor
To be fair this movie sends an awful message. This woman abandons her child when it`s 6 months old at a doorstep. Then gets supported by her child`s "adopted dads" then gets engaged to a man who has never met her daughter.
It just isn't fair...it's not right that a man can be that GORGEOUS and say all the right words !! Looooove this movie this scene (finale) and all the scene's with Elspeth in them - Fiona Shaw was super great, so funny trying to seduce Peter ( Tom Selleck) Whole cast was perfect.
I know right. I was only about 10 when this came out and had a crush on him even then. Everytime my mum watches a movie I know she fancies the actor if she goes all smiley and coy and she done it with this movie with Tom Selleck lol. x
I think what true love is for a woman is finding a man that makes her feel safe like her father did. For a man, finding a woman that makes him feel loved like his mother did. And for them both, being able to choose.
The 80's and much of the 90's were very aspirational times. Reflected in movies , music and general pop culture. As a kid it was awesome to be part of.
@@Dead-Ball-Situationthe 90s were a fun time to grow up in but also a time where I was physically and sexually abused by my parents as a kid and deal with ptsd as a result. Wish I could experience the 90s again without it
Am I making a big enough fool of myself for you!! (for being a complete ah, he did say she was a bad mom, when he was just angry, and I'm not being funny but when you suggest for her to hook her up with other men to your friends, and say none of them are good enough kinda says someones motives doesn't it) Great line but does it work on all the girls I wonder?? You guys tell me?? You never go back is always my advice you moved on for a reason
I guess nobody's going to point out the fact that it's a best friend trying to get with his other friends x / baby mama I guess everybody's a cool with that
One of those movies were true love really exists Why can't woman understand this now we want love not some wallet digger Fuck the money go half and half and be fucking happy you got someone who cares and loves you for who you are Sometimes in life you just got to take what makes you happy being rich is not the answer but mucking in and having fun being rich is not fun
I love Sylvia's reaction when Peter told her that he loves her. That was beautiful.
Never seen this movie beautiful ❤️😍 I'll have to watch it now
@@melissadavis225 I know this is late, but do watch the movie. It's well worth it.
I agree. She lights up. It's so sweet!
This movie is arguably the most savagely underrated and under-appreciated sequel ever made.
I love her reaction when Peter says, "I love you." :)

No better time to ask a girl to marry you than when she's already in her wedding dress in a church marrying someone else
Nancy Travis is so pretty.

Yes!
😭
I'm glad they choose Peter instead of Jack to be her love interest.
Me too! Can’t imagine jack lol. Peter all the way! He’s the best choice out of the three for Sylvia ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Me too. I can imagine Jack growing as a character if they had done it that way, but Peter and Sylvia together does make more sense and warms your heart.
If you don't propose to me the way Peter proposes to Sylvia I don't want it
"I love you"
"No you dont"

You really do have to go back to the 90's to see lovely, romantic movie moments like this. What the hell happened to Hollywood?

What about all the other guy's relatives? Aren't they going to step in?

What if the mother never showed affectionate love? 😞
In my case both my parents were abusive. If i found someone like my father I would be sexually assaulted @@MetalMan-ow4jx
I bet she thought she was eating a caterpillar... he will be eating a butterfly later...
Boy first jack now Peter what’s next Michael 😂
This movie reminds me of my early youth and my dreams, it's sad
