Thurman is a good actor and all that, but she is so much behind Travolta here. She is just waving around and seems tense while he is totally floating with the music. He is supposed to be a character who cannot dance and does not want to either, but he cannot hide his perfect timing and smooth movements.

I really don’t get how everyone thinks this is an amazing dance. It’s nothing like John Travolta in Grease or some of his other films. But I believe that’s not the point! Mia was over-confident, trying to win that trophy without too much talent, and Vincent was trying to fulfil his contract, keeping up with her but leaving her in the spotlight. And I think the two actors brought this across very well.
I know and agree wholeheartedly about Uma... Ethan Hawke is a moron for screwing around on her. Never ceases to amaze me why some guys will torpedo a marriage to someone like her for "a piece of strange".
I love the film and all actors,that is what is typical for Tarrantino ! He and all his films are famous.I love his work and he has always the right persons to create so greatful films.Please go on and make more films,you are the one of the best or be the best !!!

30 years ago. I remember seeing this in the theatre back in '94. My God how time flies. One of the best movies ever made!
This scene, heck the whole movie, is a great snapshot of those days, that place, the music, them characters. I was there.
