This was a wonderfully relaxing video. The way those people live their lives is really inspirational. We are trying to go in that direction. Although we may not go that extreme, taking the time to slow down and eat locally grown food is super important to us. I'm German, so it was great seeing those treats! My grandfather used to give each of his grandchildren a loaf of Stollen each Christmas. The girls that were not married got the best one - it had a stripe of marzipan running through it. So delicious! I've had many slices of stollen for breakfast with raspberry jam on top. He passed away several years ago, so now I find myself buying a loaf each year when I can just to carry on the tradition. A little off topic there, but a fun memory you reminded me of so thanks!
Thank you for sharing your story with us
I know this is comment was long ago, but nevertheless I'd love to know why the tradition was that the unmarried girls got the best one!
I would live there. Beautiful... just beautiful. Wow. The bakery looked so good for German and for old traditional candy in the other store. I would not get tired of being in that area.
What a wonderful area to visit. Everything looked so delicious. I wouldn't know where to start. The old, rustic buildings were beautiful. So peaceful.
Seeing Satoshi grinding the coffee beans at the beginning immediately made me think of the glamping video when he kept grinding the coffee beans for like 30 minutes 🤣. The food all looked so delicious. The veges were so fresh and colorful. Can't beat veges straight from the garden. Pita bread, yum! Candy shop, bakery, restaurants--This little town does have everything! There aren't many people there, so I hope the businesses are all doing alright. So glad you were able to have such a wonderful trip! 😃
thank you the both of you for sharing such a beautiful place,,,oxoxoxox
This Iwami Ginzan series really has been very therapeutic. And such an eye opener! These are such beautiful videos. Thanks you both
That was a fantastic video, guys! What an amazing place!
Fantastic breakfast , so refreshing and healthy choices for breakfast. Being able to toast your bread was extra special 😋. The bakery breads were outstanding 👌 what an amazing shop . Honestly people have to visit this hidden treasure its stunning. 🤗💚💛💚👍
Watching videos of Iwami Ginzan make me think, ‘Quality Of Life’. Their community looks peaceful. I can tell why your tour guides were fascinated and moved to Iwami Ginzan. Really enjoyed this amazing video as well.
That bread 🥖 oh my goodness
If I ever get back to Japan again, this is the kind of place I want to go to. It is a very special town. I would love to sample some offerings from that candy store.
That will be a place I want to visit. Such a beautiful place! Love all the old houses.
I'm loving all the Iwami Ginzan videos on your channels! Such beautiful historic buildings and art, and sounds like a lot of delicious food too!
What a beautiful journey thank you so much
What a gorgeous town, beautiful setting, and lovely, cordial people, and how very important is the preservation of a simpler, more harmonious way of life! Your videos make me yearn to live there. All the food looked wonderful. So fresh, colorful, and nutritious. Your lunch at Dou-Raku literally made me salivate. ツ I find it interesting and exciting that a Japanese town of 400 has a German bakery and a Chinese restaurant. I hope and pray that the town grows, in a good way, and once again flourishes. Thank you, Shinichi and Satoshi, for taking us along! ❤️❤️
Enjoyed. My parents are German Jewish originally from Germany. My mom who’s gone was born in Frankfurt. 👍
Nice video. That pita bread looked great! Those local veg looked good

All the food you ate looked so good but I'm especially loving those pretzels. I've never seen pretzels that looked like that. And good job on the montages and the music in this video Shinichi, loved it.😊

That looks like a cozy village, I have to a dmit I did like that bakery the most.
You popped up in my viewing suggestions, such a lovely video, the Bakery, the Food "Although i don't eat meat/fish/eggs or dairy", i can devise ways around it & hopefully come up with food i can eat. I think Japan is one of the Jewels upon Earth, such a beautiful & Traditional country & i have enjoyed watching Lady Elders of Buddhist tradition & how they grow & create food too. Buddhaful little "World Heritage" Town, Thank You For You Both.
Can't wait until Japan opens for foreign visitors again, I've been itching to coming back!!

We make strawberry jam and jelly grape jam and jelly, apple jelly, apple butter, peach preserves,BlackBerry jelly and jams, orange marmalade and plenty more flavors
Somehow I had expected a Japanese breakfast, not a western- style one. Looks good though. Never thought of putting okara and such in a pita bread.
Although this was a western style breakfast, there were lots of Japanese influenced dishes. Very satisfying breakfast it was
Here I sit at 4:45 EST with the munchies...torturing myself watching your video and salivating like a rabid dog in a butcher shop

Hey,
Love you both. I am not actually from Japan. But love watching your videos. Can you please do a trip to Gujo Hachiman if possible ? I like that place a lot and we would like to see that place through your lenses. :D
I work at a coffee shop and we only make freshly ground pour overs :) Its the best way! Shinichi, do you sometimes enjoy decaf?
I actually do enjoy a good cup of decaf
I was so surprised to see the pita bread that the meal started to resemble a Lebanese breakfast
Looked absolutely fab. How was the baking?
The bakery!!!!!!! Dam!!!!! 🥯 🧁 🥖 ❤️
i want to travel at such places but i donthave money xD Thanks for the videos you guys put so that i can atleast see the places
Thank you for watching! We hope you continue to enjoy our videos :)
I thought it was funny that you had all that healthy food, but you first went for the bread and jam. I probably would too.
Was that piano version of the theme from Laputa: Castle in the Sky actually playing in the bakery?
I’m not sure…
This is an authentic Japanese breakfast? Blueberry toast, pita bread and Americana coffee ☕️ ?
Was that sound cicadas?
I am sorry if I cause a problem, bit I am confused. When I started this video it was like the middle of a story. But when I checked the history I couldn't find the start of the story. Is it on one of your other channels? And if so can you kindly reference that in the future? Having said that I do love your channel.
Here’s the link to part one.
