I love both of you. You show me things that my old eyes will never see again. I truly treasure each moment that I spent in Japan, and I wish I'd known both of you...sadly, I'm far older than you, but would have been incredible to meet you both.
This allowance into the priest’s prayer was nothing less than EXQUISITE. Thank you both SO MUCH for giving Americans access to this sacred time. I love you both so much!!!!
Every time I watch you guys' videos, I just imagine visiting home and eating food cooked by my grandma. I'm finally coming home to see you, mom and dad!!! It's been a really tough 2 and a half years. :( Wished Tochigi was closer to my hometown. Thank you, Shinichi-san and Satoshi-san!
I got chills hearing the humming/chanting/singing of the temple prayers... such a healing, calming power even through the screen can be felt! thank you so so so much for sharing this
Thank you both for sharing Japan and all the beauty with in her. These words do not convey the true thankfulness I have for what you both share. I look forward to more video from you both
Your wonderful videos which encompass culture, nature, food, and adventure always enthrall me! Through the two of you I get to experience things which I otherwise wouldn't. Tagesan Jihoin, with its 1,200 year history, was amazing! And being able to participate in the Ogoma Kito prayer and practice shodo there was very special. (I hope you've hung your beautiful calligraphy in your home!) The oya stone and what was crafted from it was fascinating. I'd love to learn to make make a jizu statue out of oya with Mr. Kato And, of course, the food all looked fresh, healthy, and delicious! The gorgeous, succulent strawberries made my mouth water. Your carrot harvesting experience made me smile, and the fun you had was heartwarming. Your overnight stay at the Kato household and the communal cooking experience was so homey and relaxing. The dinner spread was sumptuous! I'd love to taste the shimotsukare and all the other farm-fresh dishes! Thank you so much, Shinichi and Satoshi, for a thoroughly enjoyable watch!
I really liked this one. My partner did too. We have a small farm and he is really into farming. He liked watching Shinichi doing farm work :-) The temple visit part was very interesting to me and I love this about Japan. Good job guys!
I can't really be in the here and now because of many, many things. It's okay, I'm dealing with it. I love you guys and I love the philosophy behind it. Harvested a lot of things as a kid, my grandmother put emphasis on it. I loved gathering peas and strawberries and carrots. They tasted delicious. 😍
What a great experience! It makes me so happy to see, how you enjoy and savour every moment with all your heart. The only bad thing about this video is: I want strawberries! Now, at the middle of the night! 😋
What a stunning video this is , Japan has some stunning scenery, history and amazing food . This video was so inspiring I would love to pick carrots and work in the kitchen serving meals like that. Thanks for the wonderful tour ❤️ I would never have known about these small and unique places without your videos much appreciated 😊.
Awesome Video! Who needs Tokyo if you have Tochigi? Thank you very much, Satoshi and Shinichi, for sharing your great documentary about Tochigi with us
SHINICHI 💚 I have a cool looking small picture that I found at a thrift store. It's a character that I wasn't sure was Chinese or Japanese... it's LOVE the one you were doing!
Great episode! Utsunomiya is a great city with wonderful people! I miss my business trips to this great city and prefecture in Japan. I hope to visit again soon!
I have wanted to go to Japan for a long time, and you’re not making it easy, I want to go so bad! My 15-year-old son walked in the room and saw you eating and he says “can we go there! “
Can you make a new video about seibuen yuenchi(amusement park) it’ll be a fun amusement park in saitama prefecture! A retro showa era theme amusement park you can travel back in time
Hii! thank you for such a lovely video !it is so refreshing to see these locations, it really shows how diverse Japan is. I have a question , how is it for you two, a queer couple, to go to these rural areas? Do you encounter any kind of discrimination? Asking because the rural area back home, in Uruguay, is known for not being the kindest to queer people
Korean people eat alot of mugwort it grows wild where the family lives I watch she makes different kinds of Kimchi's to eat as side dishes and in the main dishes. Just never got the point of dipping noodles into the sauce why not just add the sauce to the noodles? It's not strawberry season here in AMERICA yet but when it does we can pick as much we have them growing everywhere wild and garden strawberries. Why are the tops of the carrots stiff they suppose to be green long flowing stems
I have a question about futon. How comfortable are they to sleep on considering it's laid on the ground? And is it something you think you could sleep on every night and feel rested/without any pains? I asked because I have a small space and was thinking about getting a futon where I could put it away during the day and allowing for more space to be returned for use. I've never tried one so I'm really not sure how they feel.
I love both of you. You show me things that my old eyes will never see again. I truly treasure each moment that I spent in Japan, and I wish I'd known both of you...sadly, I'm far older than you, but would have been incredible to meet you both.
Age is just a number. Book a flight to Japan when it reopens and enjoy yourself!
Thank you for the kind words and for allowing us to be a part of your life.
Thanks for another great video guys!! Netflix needs to give you a whole series.
I love that face when Satoshi-san ate strawberry! haha!
Did Satoshi say to you "Shin-chan are you ready?" in the carrot field? That's so cute!
This allowance into the priest’s prayer was nothing less than EXQUISITE. Thank you both SO MUCH for giving Americans access to this sacred time. I love you both so much!!!!

I'm glad you'll be able to reunite soon
I love strawberries and you are making me drool 😋

Thank you for listening to my suggestion in going back in to food!
Of course! Sorry we stayed away from food.. won’t happen again
No problem! Just don’t let it happen again
oh my..the temple, so beautiful. Thank you for sharing
The stone museum reminds me of great cathedrals. Perfect lines along the walls, such a beautiful thing to see.
Thank you both for sharing Japan and all the beauty with in her. These words do not convey the true thankfulness I have for what you both share. I look forward to more video from you both

Glad you enjoy our videos. We’ve never encountered any problems as a queer couple anywhere in Japan even in rural places. You should be fine.
Can I eat at this sweet lady’s house? 😭
She might have wanted your diet to be full of vitamins and minerals. Or just wanted that comforting taste.
Hi guys! Your farmhouse link is broken.
noti squad!
I thought you guys are in Hawaii right now?
We are! :)

Can a tourist do this if they can’t speak Japanese?

I think the key is to find a good quality futon.
