As much as I wish I had sent my dog to Brandon for training before bringing him home ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU I am so grateful for this down-to-earth, practical guide. His training techniques and tips really work. Thank you as well for dedicating your life's work to rescue dogs, and to rescuing those of us who want the very best for our 4-legged family members.
A dog wagging his tail doesn't mean he's happy. He sure loves to work, as most malinois, but wagging your tail can mean many different things when you're a dog. It's mostly a way to handle emotions and temper them
I believe my rescue dog is a Belgain Malinois. He is the smartest dog I've ever met and knows 36 tricks at 7 months.. I only have had him for 3 months. I taught him to get me a beer out of the fridge in 1 day, my favorite trick....
Omg: I'd love to see a video of him getting you a beer from the frig! That's TOO funny... Technically, one more learned task like that, you can call him a "Service Dog"...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
wow that was impressive! i just met my first malinois at the training facility we're taking our GSD and i must say, there's something about the mals that just take your breath away.
Very impressive. thank you for sharing! This post is a great encouragement to cultivate the intellect of our dogs more. They love challenges and can tell if we are treating them with respect or are just being manipulative.
We just adopted a 7 year old recently neutered male. We have lots of work to do-but when feeding the horses-everything he does well (heel, sit, leave it) goes right out the window. The horses get reactive -which ramps up the dog. I will keep watching your channel and we will get this done. Who dumps their 7 year old intact male into the pound? He did not have much of a chance of coming out with many families. We are dedicated and he bonded with us that day-now-the work begins
Brilliant vids. Amazing dogs. I love that even the BMs are also just a bit slower to come back than they are to run off with or after a toy. Just not quite as much fun 😁 Lost my English staffie 2 weeks ago and he was 100mph to get the ball but about 40mph bringing it back, though he always bought it back.

THIS is an EXCELLENT VIDEO if someone understands what they're actually looking at!! Like 6-8 basic concepts in 4 minutes, shown and done correctly! Another trainer would have taken 20-30 minutes to explain this, lol. I taught both whistle and "Come" recall. Our "pet recall" is FAST, perfect and ENTHUSIASTIC. I started recall in the house and yard, with me hiding, and tons of excited praise, treats when he finds me. I still do that now off leash: I'll put him into a place or in a down, walk 20-40 ft away and hide, and recall. He loves the game. Off leash, if I've put him on a release to pee, wander a short distance, and he gets distracted by prey or kitties or whatever and begins to bolt, if I say "Come" loudly, he immediately changes tack and sprints back. Even though it's enthusiastic and FAST, it IS a "sloppy" "pet recall". Do you think I could retrain our recall to go through my legs and end up in this position with a three year old German Shepherd? They look like they're very fun dogs! How are they in terms of trainability and managing their energy, generally speaking? I've heard they require a lot of exercise obviously and are very smart. I would imagine they would make great family dogs with appropriate training and exercise.
They need constant training and exercise, you need to have the time and devotion for them. They're not the type of dog you can put away in the kennel for hours. And they're not naturally good with kids and small animals, you need to work with them to get used to kids and other animals. Also needs lots of socialization and attention.
Nice Vid. I always wonder how do you bond with your dog so he pays more attention to you. I have a gsd that is so stubborn during the day and night and so lazy during midday? WE've only had him for 2months and he's now 1year
These dogs are sooo devoted, extraordinary and aware. It's a joy to see them in an open space and to have an owner with similar energy!

Thank you 🙏🏼 Train hard everyday 💪🏼
They look like they're very fun dogs! How are they in terms of trainability and managing their energy, generally speaking? I've heard they require a lot of exercise obviously and are very smart. I would imagine they would make great family dogs with appropriate training and exercise.
They need constant training and exercise, you need to have the time and devotion for them. They're not the type of dog you can put away in the kennel for hours. And they're not naturally good with kids and small animals, you need to work with them to get used to kids and other animals. Also needs lots of socialization and attention.

Nice dogs!
Nice Vid. I always wonder how do you bond with your dog so he pays more attention to you. I have a gsd that is so stubborn during the day and night and so lazy during midday? WE've only had him for 2months and he's now 1year
I do all hand feeding for their meals and make sure the pup/ dog is hungry and ready to eat 👍🏻
Could you please tell us where you got your Fox 40 whistle ? The one I got was not very loud. Thank You
