  • If you're a family caregiver dealing with urinary leaking, learn how to talk to your doctor about this sensitive topic. We cover the importance of communication, keeping a bladder diary, and discussing episodes with your healthcare provider.
Urinary incontinence is a common issue for some adults, and family caregivers often notice it first. Talking to the loved one's doctor is an important step to get a diagnosis and find treatments that can improve their quality of life.
A bladder diary is a crucial tool for family caregivers of someone experiencing incontinence. It tracks fluid intake, urination times and amounts, and leakage incidents. This detailed record helps doctors diagnose the type of incontinence and recommend the most effective treatment plan.

If you have a family member who is capable of understanding your meds and being an advocate that’s also a good idea because I had a situation when I was in the rehab hospital where they wanted to cath me yet Not discontinue my Detrol. My daughter who knew my meds helped a lot with that situation
