      glad you appreciate Levant food, but honestly, the "Arabic Pizza" which is called Mana'esh or Manakesh, it made with Thyme and sesame because these ingredients are cheap, I do like it, but since I have more often they lose their appeal.

    then please do something to help their country, especially with the war that's going on. I feel like a lot of them actually don't know about all this or are downplaying the issue at hand??? the least they could do is boycott the companies that help support/fund the war going on because this is a big and serious issue that can be helped. #FreeSyria

      yes, but the Buzzfeed UA-cam channel rarely does videos with such heavy political messages. This kind of thing would be really hard to spin as something funny and easy to consume in a 5 minute video like other topics like feminism or racism.

      +Vilen Torabian its banned in the religion, but there are many Muslims who chose not to be religious so many of them drink its quite a norm. You have people who practice and people who don't. We all manage to coexist, long live the Middle-East ❤

    • @susu9659
      @susu9659 8 років тому +7

      +Vilen Torabian no its not, tbh, I personally feel Islam puts women on another level. When a man has a baby girl, the Prophet (pbuh) narrated that the doors of Gods mercy all open for him. When a man gets married, the woman he marries is considered the completion of his religion and the same goes for her. When a woman has a child, it is narrated that the door to the child's heaven is under her feet. So no, I don't think Islam is degrading women whatsoever. Peace.

    My grandparents immigrated to the US from Syria, and as I’m watching this it’s bringing back so many memories of when I was little. They used to make this stuff for my siblings and I to try but we always thought it was gross😭
    Well, except for the bread, that stuff was bomb 👌🏼

    my mom's making knafeh tomorrow! But she's Lebanese. We also have Arak. Safest way to not get food poisoning in a foreign land is to just down a glass of Arak with every meal!

      tala hasbini so I hear, last time we went I wasn't old enough to go out yet (it doesn't help that my mum onlu taught us French, it's kind of hard to rely on your cousins for communication). When things have quieted down a little I'd love to go again 😊
