So "Danishes" are actually not a Danish invention. We all know that here and we call it Wienerbrød, which means "Wien-bread" or "Vienna-bread" to honor the Austrian bakers who invented these. To be fair to the show, Danish people eat alot of Wienerbrød.
The hotdogs are mentioned in the comment section like a thousand times. It is true that you can probably somewhere get hotdogs served like this in Denmark, however, 99% of hotdogs in Denmark will be served just like the american style hotdog or french style hotdog. The toppings on the 1% dogs we see in this video are inspired by some 100% authentic Danish dishes that for some reason (lazyness) were left out of this episode.

Americans are extremely weight conscious and diet conscious, and we would never eat like they do in Scandinavia. My sister and I were both pretty heavy when we went to Norway and Sweden and we could not eat half as much as those guys do and they're half our size! It's not fair, man.
Pretty sure it’s at least partially because American food has so much more hidden sugar, salt and preservatives.

Agreed! Usually they try something adventurous and thrilling but tbh, they could have just made it a regular Buzzfeed video and put the try guys in it without making it an official Try Guys video. And usually Try Guys is the most creative series ( alongside Ladylike, Unsolved, and Life Change) but this video isn't really creative.

If you are not danish and watching this, and maybe want to try something from the video, you should know a lot of the dishes are wrong, and the names as well.
Nothing is called "tebrød" those are called "tebirkes" and if you ask for a cake at a bakery, you most certainly won't get the one in the video, those are called "spandauer" and are a type of "wienerbrød". Hotdogs don't look like that here either, they are usually very simple, white bread with a red wiener, ketchup, mustard and fried onions on top. Nothing purple and no kale. I also don't know what the "øllebrød" was, it is usually brown in colour and lumpy in texture, with a white dask of cream in the middle, certainly not white and green with bits that look like bacon.

Agree that the names and translations are really really bad. But .... the hotdogs and "øllebrød" aka bierbread aka man maybe better "bier porridge" ain't wrong at all. They are more modern twists, and if u are in New York those are the versions u gonna get servered in the Danish restaurent Mayer in Grand Central Station.
In Denmark aswell there is popping up more and more versions of traditional foods that are given a twist. I'm all for a classic hotdog or øllebrød in the winter, but i do like some of the modern additions.

A real danish hotdog contains a roasted red hotdog sausage, ketchup, remoulade, mustard, pickled cucumber slices, chopped raw onion, and roasted onion, all put in a roasted hotdog bread (also called "a roasted with all of it")! Did I forget anything? Oh, and it is best served with a Cocio chocolate milk. :)

Sometimes you watch buzzfeed videos and think-pfff, they just do things anyone can do. But when you see them next to "regular" people you realize how good they are in story telling, emotions expression, impromtu.
They are selected because they have tv personality, to be able to showcase content in a way that engages people even if they are doing something boring. Not everyone can do that!
