New Edges absolutely do not deserve the hate. I understand why they aren't for everybody, they are older now and the technology and build quality is not up to todays standards but I still love New Edges and the Terminator is my all time favorite car.
I feel like new edge is the perfect starter car for a young enthusiast. My point being: - tons of aftermarket support - reliable engine - if you’re unfortunate to pop one, they’re cheap to replace - they’re lightweight - sounds very good Edit: my new edge is my first v8 car
Id say it isnt the perfect car as mine had no traction control or abs and these cars still make a fair bit of torque, in the rain my car was ready to rip the tires off with any touch of throttle in a turn, I loved my new edge and with some respect behind the wheel you cant get yourself into to much trouble❤️
@scandaleux7915 Well if someone is worried about that they can buy one with those options. My 96 doesn't have abs, traction control and has crank windows. Love it. More raw and less weight
The new edge mustangs were the reason i fell in love with mustangs when i was a kid. I was actually upset when they came out with the s197 in 05 until the face lift in 2013.

Honestly some aggressive gears and bolts ons this is a super fun daily driver that you can get VERY high mileage out of if you take care of it. Its the kind of car that puts a smile on your face even though its not the fastest.
They are such a good driving experience, really feels fun to drive. I did heads and cams on my 02 and it's not the fastest but it gets down and still has that 2v sound and charm, I love it to death
There's nothing bubbly about my 07 gt500. It is a little big but it has more room inside and is more comfortable vs the older ones. You must be talking about s550s?
I have a completely stock (except for the 15" wheels from a 1999 model) 2003 V6/auto Mustang. It is Zinc Yellow. It has 72,000 miles on it and runs like new. It is a daily driver. I bought it not so much because I wanted a Mustang, but because I wanted a 2 door rear wheel drive American car. The Mustang was pretty much my only real choice. It is so much fun driving my bright yellow Mustang to work in the morning in a sea of grey and black front wheel drive 4 door sedans, crossovers, and 4 door taxi trucks. I got it 6 years ago for $4200 in near new condition. Back then V6 Mustangs had almost no value. Nobody wanted one. It turned out to be the perfect car for me.
I learned how to drive in my mother's 2002 Roush Stage 2 and it was basically my daily in high school. When I first got used to the manual transmission, I pulled it out of a parking lot and immediately went into an 8 hour road trip. It taught me burnouts, donuts and figure 8s. I even got a few decent entry-level drifts with it! The factory plastic intake manifold failed on us, so we supercharged the 2V with 110k miles on it and made 330 whp and 345 tq. One owner car, spent a lot of it's life getting beat up by rowdy young dudes and it still pulls like a champ. My mother is cruising it happily into her 60s and I'll buy it when she's ready to sell. ❤
I didn't know they were really hated? One of the only generations I've never owned, but I still want to. I see these cars with high 200, and 300,000 miles often, in my line of work, and they still seem to be holding up well. I understand it's down on power a lot from today's stangs and even some other cars from the time. But one area the old 4.6 will always have a one-up on the Coyote, and almost every other newer motor from any brand, is its relative simplicity. As a mechanic I'd much rather work on a 4.6 than a Coyote or a Chevy LT. A 4.6 is an engine that will go the distance. That same unloved 4.6 is the engine that powered the legendary Crown Vic police cars, and the Mercury Grand Marquis. On those rigs it's very very common to see 400,000+ miles, original everything.
I paid $3500 for a 5spd 99 GT in high school. Got me through college (over 215k total miles) and it was a lot of fun. Your new edge videos have been really fun to watch
Just to put things into perspective, Joel Steele (World Record stick driver) had a Boss 302 for a WHILE @ 1300whp and all he had done was ARP hardware on a bone stock Roadrunner. These motors are insanely tough, I do also believe Dakota @ Lund also has a Boss 302 and it was making 1100whp with just cams and a twin turbo kit.
Because people try to compare them against way newer way more expensive cars. For what it is it isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. So what the ls1 was little stouter in stock form woopty do they also cost alot of fn money people want 20k for clean ram air tas that's nuts.
The 94-98 are just ugly. Other than that; the dash is just horrible looking and doesn't match the new edge at all. I like'em other wise, it's just a modified fox chassis.
@ItsDaJax I have a 98 that is gorgeous and gets a ton of attention and compliments! I specifically didn't get the 99 because it looked too boxy to me stock. With some work, they look great however, and is one of my favorites for sure and DON'T deserve the hate.
no one *hates* the new edge. edit: you're all simply lying. No one hated the terminator. No one hated the Saleen s281. No one hated the SVT 2000. cope harder.

Bought my first car for $3000 10 years ago. Auto 2002 GT with flowmasters. Was the ultimate “gateway drug” for me as a 15 year old as it taught me how to wrench, wire, and work on stuff. Over time I swapped in a 5 speed, Team Z Goodies up front, 76mm turbo, coilovers, yadda yadda yadda. IMO 350+ whp is when these cars really start to get fun, just blows that it takes at least $6k to do so. (Boost) (if you’re keeping the 2v)
I daily drove a 5 speed '01 GT for over 5 years in Michigan. It was one of the most reliable vehicles I've ever owned. I loved it so much that I still have it today, parked it in my garage. I've neglected it for about 4 years and gotten way more into my Harley Davidsons. It could use a good cleaning, and probably a new battery and some calipers from sitting for so long, but it'll still run and melt tires like a champ.
I had two new edges 10+ years ago and they were both amazing cars. Slow but still enough power to have fun. The 4.6 hands down still sounds better than the coyote. It has so much more tone to it than the raspy coyote. When it came time to coyote swap the last new edge I had a buddy selling his 2010 gt500 and ended up going that route. The Shelby was a lot of fun but the new edge had my heart at the end of the day.
I had an 04 gt with headers, x pipe, Flowmasters, spacer, pulley and I loved it. Still got my a** kicked by a modified mach 1 but was a great car and never had a single issues in almost 8 yrs of owning it.
_The only thing people got against the new edge GT is _*_"oh its just a show 2v"_*_ little do they know how versatile they are you can swap almost anything into them not to mention the body style aged really really well._
When I first got my 03 Cobra the clutch pedal was insanely stiff, when I'd go to push it, it would push me back into the seat before the actual pedal started to press. But I did a clutch kit with a low pedal effort option and then did a clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster. Those two things lightened the clutch pedal significantly. Some people who drive other manuals will still get in it and complain about how stiff my clutch feels but I really like it, I just tell them they should've felt it before all the work I did to it.
@JordanSVT mine pushed me in the seat too. And that was after an aluminum quadrant, firewall adjuster, stage 2 exedy clutch. Then my throwout bearing exploded after about 10k miles. Turns out the clutch cable was in a bind the whole time, changed the cable and throwout bearing and wow. Everyone still thinks it's insanely stiff but is many times lighter than it was. I don't notice it anymore
I have an 02 v6 mustang and an 01 2v and I love them both, less about the speed because neither are fast (thats what my bike is for) but more because they are pretty fun to drive
As a 30 year old boomer i will die on the hill defending the SN-95. Of all the cars i've owned, my '00 New edge convertible was my favorite car i ever owned.
I love the new edges. My first car is a 2000 v6. Currently fixing the rot. After that i plan to throw a spare 5.0L 302 in her, that i have lying around.
These are my favorite generation of mustang. I’ve had 3 and my latest is a terminator. These cars are great, cheap, the aftermarket is amazing because they’re still fox chassis. Fantastic cars.
I’m always surprised more people don’t attempt top end swaps on these cars, it’s called the modular for a reason and 4 valves seem to do this motor wonders
Swap in stock 3v pistons on coyote rods and run 3v heads. You get 2v weight with 4v performance and better cams are still affordable. Want to boost it, coyote rods and stock pistons got you covered to 700rwhp.
Also, speaking of my Integra days, my buddy had an original SN95 1995 GT with the 302W and he had it fully built and stroked (minus sleeves) with a Roots style Kenne Belle supercharger and it made just under 600 whp. He had tall slicks on it and that thing would stand on one rear wheel on a hard launch and when I put slicks on my DA9 we would drag down 51 in Bridgewater, PA back in 2002 and 2003 and we would stay nose to nose until the red light at the turn for Beaver. Those were the days. We had alot of the old school hotrod guys that would always crap on us both until we would line up and smoke them all, but seriously, the ONLY vehicle that ever gave us both a good run was a 2002 Lightning and he had a FBO 5.4 with a five speed manual swap, and ran 20s with drag radials that would dead hook every time...on a well-used highway. He had Altezza tail lights and I got SO tired of looking at them that I blew my engine trying to chase him down. He would never tell us what all was done to it, but my buddy with the supercharged SN95 jacked him up against a wall and tried to force him to tell us what he did to that truck and he refused. He had some serious mods in that engine. No doubt they're fast from the factory, but this thing would just walk away from us both and we were constantly racing 429 swapped Galaxies and 454 SS Chevelles with ease, so it was mind boggling to us both how that Lightning could just give us the deuces. Edit: I'm sorry, I dont mean to sound like we were the end all, be all of the time, alot of the races that we were in were close races, but we won most of them, especially when I would turn the boost up a little and adjust my tune, but we didn't win against the hotrodders ALL the time.
I have a canyon carver build on my new edge, and with the right parts it definitely behaves as a sports car. I can hang with the bmws and vettes that are usually on my twisty mountain roads.
Heads, tfs heads wake them up big time. Met a guy who had a bullit intake with trick flo heads and a cam. That thing ripped. Also had 3.73's instead of the 3.27s
That’s essentially my combo without the Bullitt intake, I have the rare P51 foxlake. I like how David always rags on 2Vs, I would love to see a built 2V vs blown coyote.
I had a brand new 2002 Mustang GT five speed manual back in the day and while it was really slow, I raced a brand new BMW M hatchback on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and he handed me my rear end. I wasnt racing him at first, but after he passed me I downshifted in an attempt to keep up and I stuck with him up to 135 MPH when we both took the same exit and he went up on three wheels and I slowed down quickly to make the opposite side of the exit and I legit thought he wrecked out, but he rocked it and continued down to a racetrack that used to be nearby called Beaver Run, but it's now called Pittsburgh Race Complex (or something like that, in Wampum, PA). After that I sold that Mustang and bought a DA9 Integra (my favorite body style Teg), boosted it, and it was one of the best cars I've ever owned. That 1992 Integra made a little more horsepower than the Mustang (256 whp) and still ran a 12.2 @ 126 mph.

People hate the New Edge Mustang??? Well that's news to me. The New Edge is my favorite Mustang bodystyle after the 69-73 'stangs. As a GM guy, I've always wanted a GT, 03-04 Mach 1, or Terminator. Still do. I still see these cars often in the Midwest, definitely more than I see 4th gen F bodies.
I've always wanted a New Edge and almost bought one back in 2017. It was a blue GT with manual and only 85k miles for $6500. Now for something similar it would be at least $10-12k with such low miles.
The thing is, is that no matter what, someone I'd going to hate on Mustangs, simply because they're Mustangs or because it's Ford. I've personally always loved Mustangs. I've had my New Edge for 3½ years. It is a 6 banger, but it does what I ask it to, and she's never let me down.
People love to hate the 4.6 v8 particularly the 2v. They made normal power for their time period and everything you'd expect to be able to do to any other v8 to get power can be done to them. I've built multiple 400+ hp 2v's and a bunch in the mid 300 hp range. It just depends what you're after. If you want just a stock car that's fast don't shop that time period.
Just FBO and 4.10 racing gears and my 5 speed literally beats hemi chargers on highway pulls. No idea what the previous owner did to her but I know he used to use it as a drag car. Not bad for an old car at all. It surprised me how quick she can be.
Never once had anyone tell me they hated this car. Another contributing factor was that the fox body ran for 14 years, still has millions of mods and was legendary in tv and music for the 5.0. The complete redesign in 94 of the look and engine (with at the time zero aftermarket items) turned off all the previous generations. With the benefit of almost 30 years since the complete redesign of the time, perspectives change.
I like my New Edge, but if you don't like it, it's probably because you value the Mustang II or hoped the Probe was the new stang. I'm not into racing and it's quick enough for me. I like cruising and sound.
Camaro guy now but I loved my sn95!!! When these came out I was so jealous especially the terminator!!! Was a great car and plenty of fun in the late teens tbh.
I freaking love them. There's 2 reasons I would buy a Mustang: first would be price/performance ratio (I'd get an S550 Mustang), and second would be for the sound (I'd get a New Edge Mustang with the 4.6L 2-valve SOHC engine). 😍
I remember when they 1st came out a gt was the car to have , next to a z28 or ss and who ever had a trans am ws6 that was king until the 03 cobra came out you hardly seen saleen or roush cars growing up in Houston in that era
It's been a thing for awhile to be honest. You aren't finding $100 blocks often and everything else isn't necessarily "budget". You really have to want this to go out and build one. You aren't saving a whole lot over other cars or builds
New edges have been going up in value since 2020. People are finally noticing they’re foxbodies with new fenders. Literally, almost everything about them is the same. People swap parts between foxes and SN95s all the time. They’re gonna become classics soon I think.
The cars that deserve praise especially of this generation is any with a 4v whether it be the multiple years of cobra or Mach 1. Or on the contrary how relatively simple it is to 4v swap a 2V. You can take the heads off a Navigator, 98 cobra cams, ported intake and make 350-370whp at 7000. Cobra crank and Coyote rods are also a good way to build a bullet proof motor on a budget. A heads cam 4v can make 370-390whp or even 400 with a really good tune. Another consideration is that the New edge is still a Fox platform! These cars can be gutted out to some pretty insane weights 2700# street legal is possible. These cars are becoming nostalgic for not just people who drove them back in the day but for folks such as me who saw them growing up. Definitely a modern classic. Wish to obtain a clean Mach 1 sometime soon.
Those cars were really sought after when they were new and a few years old. Where I lived at the time, people really liked to buy them and mod them with performance parts from manufacturers like BBK, 🎉Steeda, Borla, etc. They were honestly one of the best platforms for new automotive enthusiasts, to get cheap thrills, and as David highlighted, they could be modded into an absolute weapon, all without breaking the bank. I wanted one of them, but the price of insurance and other variables made them unobtainable. Eventually I did buy a 2005 GT Premium with a manual transmission, and really enjoyed doing some minor mods to that.
The point of fast cars from the beginning was build it yourself. All these cars with all very high horsepower and torque and just there for us to tare apart later and make it faster. To keep whooping any rich kids dream car to pieces.
From high school till well into midlife, I was a GM guy......Camaros, Corvettes. Never owned a Ford. Found a Pewter 04 GT convertible, and have now had 4 New Edges. There's something about their simplicity, and very nice lines.. My 2012 GT/CS leaves my 99 Cobra in the rearview, but the Cobra is the daily driver. On the road, I have gotten 27 mpg on BOTH (if you behave) . What sports car can you get that AND all that fun, in one package. As the tv ad stated in 94: "It IS what it WAS, and MORE... .Thanks for your videos, would never have thought that engine would fit in a New Edge, and man what a sound!
Imo new edge are the best of all worlds in the mustang kingdom. If your young and dont make alot yet. Go for a v6 or 2v its not gonna be fast but a great intro to the world of cars. If you want something a bit more special and can afford to go for roush stage 3 or mach 1 (or 99 01 cobra) If you got the coin and just want the big daddy of the era go terminator (which is what i got) Or worst case if you are a hands on guy just get a shell and coyote swap it. New edge is a great first car or great project car or great if you just got the money to blow on a fast badass car. Love this era
As a 17 year owner of a heavily built 01 Saleen, these cars can easily be built to stick with modern cars and only a fool would write them off. They’re lightweight and there’s tons of options out there, just depends on how resourceful you are and just how bad you want it!
Since i was younger ive wanted this car and up until last week it was a dream, I bought a 03 Mach 1 which surprised me when it had a 4v not a 2v engine
As a long time 2V owner, here is my take: - They aren't felony-fast, but they are misdemeanor-fast. - They sound incredible. - They are holding up to age well. You rarely find a rusty New Edge. If taken care of, they are still safe to buy. - Their styling has aged well compared to it's peers. A Camaro/Trans Am of the same vintage looks significantly more 90s than a New Edge. - In an era of escalating prices, it is still one of the most cost effective entry points into a V8 enthusiast car. - Aftermarket support is still incredibly strong. - The drivetrain is literally one of the most reliable that Ford or any OEM has ever made. I firmly believe the 2V 4.6/5.4 was one of the best engines ever made in terms of balancing performance and reliability. It is nothing for a 2V to make it 250k+ miles.
4v are reliable too I seen a 97 cobra with 450k original miles still running good. I've seen terminators in the 300k range even the earlier ones and the Mach 1.
I own 4.6 procherger, absolutely love it! Its also realiable, powerful, and it turns heads, especially nowadays, when they are very rare in europe. Everyones driving newer ones:)
Regarding the motor being a Crown Vic motor, they actually are exactly the same. Same camshafts, same internals, same intake, everything is the same except factory dual exhaust and a warmer tune on the ECU. You can swap any PI 4.6 in directly and it'll be exactly the same as what came out.

It is literally an updated version of the sn95 which is literally a foxbody stang. Even the 94-95 come with the same 5.0 as the fox. The 04 Cobra body is fucking gorgeous.
There were minor differences in the 5.0 between the foxbody and the 94-95.Some foxbodies ran off speed density while the some were MAF like the 94-95.The pulley setups were different. Some years of the foxbodies came with forged pistons and some didnt.I believe the 94-95's had a forged crank with cast pistons.
My brother had a 2000 bought new. 5 speed. The only mod he did was replace the crap factory plugs with copper core plugs and it picked up a tenth at the track from that. On the factory tires with zero traction in 1st and 2nd gear, and zero mods other than the plugs it went 14.1 at 99 mph at sea level. So much potential with gears, exhaust, heads and cams, tune, Blower. Really smooth engine but no power over about 5,500 rpm

Your new edge videos have been really fun to watch
i paid 8k for a 97 GT just after high school. I put 100k miles on it myself with no issues.
Look at the snot rocket who went 6s on a stock block
I've never understood a lot of the hate early SN's and New Edges got/get... They're a fantastic platform for pretty much any engine you want.
It's because it's the cheapest mustang to get into, so many people can afford to drive them and think they're the shit when they're not
@ItsDaJax I have a 98 that is gorgeous and gets a ton of attention and compliments! I specifically didn't get the 99 because it looked too boxy to me stock. With some work, they look great however, and is one of my favorites for sure and DON'T deserve the hate.
The build on Brad’s car is sick. Roadrunner engine with an ESS. Sounds amazing and hauls butt!
Thank you
no one *hates* the new edge.
edit: you're all simply lying. No one hated the terminator. No one hated the Saleen s281. No one hated the SVT 2000. cope harder.
You'd be surprised. If it's a mustang it's gonna get hate.
I own one, hate it
@@antmarquis87hahahaha same. How’s your power steering pump HAHAHAHAHA GOTEEMM
That's bullshit. They get ragged on all the time
@@boanless the power steering pump was a ford issue not a mustang issue.
You need to do a video reviewing all the mustangs you've driven with different engine/power adder/na combinations, which you liked, why, and what they were good for or better at. It would help to inspire people to decide towards the goal they're trying to achieve with their mustang.
That's a good video idea.👍
Bought my first car for $3000 10 years ago. Auto 2002 GT with flowmasters. Was the ultimate “gateway drug” for me as a 15 year old as it taught me how to wrench, wire, and work on stuff. Over time I swapped in a 5 speed, Team Z Goodies up front, 76mm turbo, coilovers, yadda yadda yadda. IMO 350+ whp is when these cars really start to get fun, just blows that it takes at least $6k to do so. (Boost) (if you’re keeping the 2v)
I think they're some of the greatest looking cars ever made. Also super reliable.
Plz sell it to me 🥺
99-04 Mustang. The best looking Mustang of all time.
I gotta go with the 1969-70 fastbacks, but New Edge is great too. Of course I am biased since I own a 2004 Mach1 (had it since new).
& the 2012
Agreed!
Have a 04 but my favorite is the fox hatch
And you can't forget the 1969 Shelby GT 500 cobra jet 😂
I had two new edges 10+ years ago and they were both amazing cars. Slow but still enough power to have fun. The 4.6 hands down still sounds better than the coyote. It has so much more tone to it than the raspy coyote. When it came time to coyote swap the last new edge I had a buddy selling his 2010 gt500 and ended up going that route. The Shelby was a lot of fun but the new edge had my heart at the end of the day.
This generation is what got me into cars, specifically mustangs. Seeing these around made me love them more than any other car on the road growing up
I had an 04 gt with headers, x pipe, Flowmasters, spacer, pulley and I loved it. Still got my a** kicked by a modified mach 1 but was a great car and never had a single issues in almost 8 yrs of owning it.
I have a 2001 Ford Mustang & And I'm in love with her, she drives like a charm
_The only thing people got against the new edge GT is _*_"oh its just a show 2v"_*_ little do they know how versatile they are you can swap almost anything into them not to mention the body style aged really really well._
I can understand why people would not like the new edge mustangs but It’s still my favorite generation
The new edge is making a comeback with a 5.0 later on. And not it does not suck the temri came to be in the new edge!
I’m 23. My second car and first ever car I purchased with my own bank is my 99 GT Vert. 4.6 sounds amazing. Quick with a few bolt ons. And looks sick.
I remember driving one that just had an exhaust on it. Good torque, just felt that the clutch pedal was usually heavy. Should it get hate? Nah.
Get use to it though. Good Ole cable
Lots of weenies in here, the clutch was stiff for all of 3 days of driving until you get the muscle memory for it. It's a _mans_ car
Its not that we hated the car, it was the people driving them that we hated
Kind of like the ones driving the modern Mustangs now?
A terminator with a pulley and a tune is faster than a hellcat for half the price.
I’m always surprised more people don’t attempt top end swaps on these cars, it’s called the modular for a reason and 4 valves seem to do this motor wonders
you really need the whole 4v engine. 4v heads on a 2v shortblock has very low compression.
@@shankeriv1301 Ppl do it all the time tho.. i wouldn't worry about it..
Swap in stock 3v pistons on coyote rods and run 3v heads. You get 2v weight with 4v performance and better cams are still affordable. Want to boost it, coyote rods and stock pistons got you covered to 700rwhp.
Lincoln mark 8s had the 4 valve and nobody wanted them. I saw alot of those get junked
@@BruceLee-xn3nn Yeah, ppl were tripping back then.. I think it's bcuz they looked a bit ugly, imo..lol 😆🥸☠
I think it was 351 rods and gt40 domes, cobra heads port matched, railrunner typhoon intake, and chevy deadbelt.
I have a canyon carver build on my new edge, and with the right parts it definitely behaves as a sports car. I can hang with the bmws and vettes that are usually on my twisty mountain roads.
Do coilovers, a stiff sway bar and fat R888Rs on every corner. Enjoy the tears from every "hurr hurr mustangs dont corner" crybaby
A gutted Integra?? 12.2 seems too fast for 256whp..lol
I’m literally gonna buy one from my buddy in the next few weeks this is perfect timing
I had a new edge and i loved it and now i have an sn 95 and its blast. IMO those model are the easiest to work on also to learn on.

Thank you David for talking so highly of my car. The video is amazing.
When I was a teen I'd look at this 640hp blown fox in black on Autotrader daily, it was like look Dad they only want 8k.
I loved mine, great starter car. Once I did subframe connectors and some stiffer suspension parts it actually handled pretty good
Best Looking and sounding mustang generation ever.
Love the new age mustang. I had a 2002 model. It was charcoal gray
I heard 300hp is max with NA ...
I’m excited to watch this video - I had a 99 GT and I loved it!
Aaaaaaaaand there goes the SN95 maket.
The last affordable sports car is gonna stop being affordable pretty quickly now, thanks to this video
Coyote swaps are not new to New Edge’s…
People have been Coyote swapping New Edges. I probably never will though, I'd rather have a built 4.6L 4V personally.
It's been a thing for awhile to be honest. You aren't finding $100 blocks often and everything else isn't necessarily "budget". You really have to want this to go out and build one. You aren't saving a whole lot over other cars or builds
It's been a bit pricey for a while tbh
New edges have been going up in value since 2020. People are finally noticing they’re foxbodies with new fenders. Literally, almost everything about them is the same. People swap parts between foxes and SN95s all the time. They’re gonna become classics soon I think.
People hate these? They always looked cool to me.
I’ve always loved the way these looked for some reason. Never have owned one though :(
The cars that deserve praise especially of this generation is any with a 4v whether it be the multiple years of cobra or Mach 1.
I didn’t know they were hated lol these have been my favorite mustangs since they came out and still are!
I wish ford would’ve made the gt’s come stock with the DOHC 4.6’s that would’ve made them a lot better powered and more competitive with the Camaro ss
I would love to have a New Edge just to daily or cruise. They sound so good too.
If you want something a bit more special and can afford to go for roush stage 3 or mach 1 (or 99 01 cobra)
If you got the coin and just want the big daddy of the era go terminator (which is what i got)
Or worst case if you are a hands on guy just get a shell and coyote swap it.
I actually like this body style mustang. Don’t like the ones before, but once they put those headlights on and sharpened the body lines. I liked it.
You must not have ever seen a clean early sn95 done right. They're sick.
These are the Mustangs that got me into cars as a kid. I still think they look and sound the best.
As a long time 2V owner, here is my take:
- They aren't felony-fast, but they are misdemeanor-fast.
I’m kinda relieved that you found a little difficulty with going into third. I thought I was the only one. ‘01 bullitt for reference
I used to slam my knuckles into the dash shifting 2-3 in these cars.
Don’t hate it. Absolutely love it
I own 4.6 procherger, absolutely love it!
I prefer to call it the “F150 motor” 😂
But yeah ford used the modular on everything. They even made a couple super cars with it.
It's the same except the intake and valve cover with oil cap are on the opposite side

I love the New Edges and miss my 02. But, I had to sell everything for that expat life.
