Got a 5-speed 2000 GT Convertible about 5 months ago, it’s my second car and my first manual. Had a blast learning how to drive it and while it has given me a couple issues, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Love my car.
Got it for 6k, 141,000 miles with a new motor from ford themselves, warranty is still good and i have the receipts. Also came with bbk headers and a dual flowmaster setup
Focus on maintenance first my guy, mods second, do oil, trans, tires, brakes, fuel pumps, etc before you even think about mods. If not you will have a pretty 2k paper clip
As someone who did cams and headers and forged rods and pistons and its still slow. Id recommend building the rear suspension its the 60 foot time that helps these cars

Nice to see some new edge videos in 2024. Keep it up. Love the car. I have a 04 mach 1 with only like 300rwhp and love it. May procharge it soon. The new ones are nice and all but you just dont get that raw driving experience like the sn95s and the s550s feel so huge
Yeah you don't really get that raw driving experience with all these new cars since they all have rev match, launch control and all this technology to assist the driver
I’ve had a new edge Mustang in high school when I was 18. It was a V6 but I loved that car. I’m now 31 and want another new edge. I would love a Cobra but the GT’s are definitely affordable and obtainable. Thanks for your insight on this as I’ve decided to get a new edge Mustang GT!!

I want a competition orange Mach 1 with shaker hood….saw them brand new at dealerships back when I was 18 in high school, and thought they were so cool. Haha
i’m at 150k on the motor rn, should i boost it and if i do how long would it last? is it better if i go ahead and rebuild the motor? or should i get another motor first? that’s really my only concern
Ive had mine since new 2004 gt Ill probably paint it and redo interior and new stereo shocks tires. The 4.6 still runs like new so i cant really justiy a swap it will still hit the 145 i suppose. Thats still pretty fast its still pretty quick. Its just too reliable.
im 16, still got my permit, made 12,000 dollars today, found a nice clean 99 mustang gt thats been motor swapped to a 4v cobra motor with 68K miles. The whole car itself has 67K original miles. What do you guys think?
Need some advice, I’m 16 buying a car this year. I was wondering if a 99 cobra would be a good start getting into the v8 world. Thought of getting a coyote but maybe to much power for a learner.
If you're a 16 year old kid watching this. Buy the car to have fun, if you want real reliable power you're gonna need some deep pockets. Just got done ordering a new $6000 dollar MMR block.
I'm bored of my stock 08 civic with 275k+ on it. I like the look of the new edge, the '05+ mustangs aren't to bad either. What kind of hp would the non PI block with PI heads, ported heads, cams, header back exhaust net for the 2v and what would a similar spec 3v net?
I want one that is stock and they're hard to find. It has to be a manual and im fine with any color but would like it to be blue, white, green, or a deep red, but since they're so hard to find in the condition I want, I can not be too picky.
I have mixed opinions on the SN/New Edge, I personally think the 4.6 GT/Bullitt is a good first car for a kid who wants a V8 and wants to learn stick and how to maintain vehicles. The Mach 1/96-01 Cobra is a cruiser car, I would personally love one of either of those to have as a weekend cruiser car with cams for that chop chop. Terminators are where you wanna go for big power in that era of Mustangs but if I wanna go fast I’m buying a Coyote car or a S197 GT500.
You can build the bottom end and make plenty of power with any if them especially the 4v. You can also coyote swap it that is an option you don't have to have a newer bigger heavier car in order to have a coyote.
@@midnight347 there’s a guy here on UA-cam, “Coyote Mach B” I believe is his name, a white Mach 1 with a Coyote in it and honestly that’s the perfect new edge to me.

Or any other decent company short throw shifter... See if you can find a shift knob from the bullet. It will feel like a dream compared to stock. 3rd gear sucks on the tremmy trans
I've been thinking about sliding one but I know next to nothing about Ford Drive trains how hard would it be to make 300 or 400hp na on pump ro maby put a m90 or something cheap on it 😅
It is super easy to make that power if you start with a Mach they can do as much as like 375-380 rwhp with just fbo and cams with a stock bottom end. That is enough to roll out pretty good in those cars as they're lighter than newer mustangs that is enough to keep up with bolt on gen1 and 2 coyotes in the newer cars.
Can someone help me i just bought a new edge mustang 2000 gt first time mustang owner. Got 4.6 don't want it what engine should i replace it with thanks
