Kisanii do not put ANY of the blame on her wtf is wrong with you. teenagers (or anyone) should be allowed to make little mistakes or have little lapses in judgement without being murdered for it, and especially without having the possibility of murder be THEIR fault for just being a teenager. she was a kid. kids make mistakes. mistakes shouldn’t get you killed, and no one should be blamed for a senseless murder other than the murderer themselves. it doesn’t matter if “a lot” of other people in the same situation would “know better”, that doesn’t mean ANY of the blame should EVER shift over to an innocent victim. it absolutely baffles me that people can genuinely feel that way

Like I said not everyone is taught the same. So don't assume EVERY 15 year old knows that because some probably don't.
Kayleigh Haywood was in my school and after the incident my school and the next school up were constantly talking about it and being safe online... we have a tree in the school grounds with a purple memorial plaque for her ❤️
I went there too. I didn't know her personally or anything but I can remeber this all happening when I was in year 10. The tree was such a lovely idea and is still up ♥️
Exactly what i was thinking. In many cases the police seems very oblivious about certain things. For example here when they saw Stephens’s injuries they went all the way to his work. Not many officers would do that. And just the fact that they took the extra time of their own and went to search for a _body_ . They knew she was dead, they had a person who had confessed already and they still did it immediately.
To any young girls reading this who have older men who flirt with them: There's a reason they cannot get girls their own age. At 14 I was speaking to 20+ year olds because they were always telling me how mature and special I was. I was very lonely and vulnerable at the time and I needed to feel loved and appreciated so I found it in all the wrong ways. I'm 20 now and remembering the way these grown men spoke to a child is beyond sickening and has caused me so much trauma which I'm still getting therapy for. It unfortunately normalised sexual assault and manipulation for me as I believed I deserved it. I'm begging you to report, block and remember you're loved, valuable and beautiful, you don't need validation from creeps online. ❤️
The policework in this case was amazing, they clearly cared so much about Kayleigh and her family. It's really refreshing to see police who know how to do their jobs.
Sad thing is, i wonder if the energy would have been the same for a victim of colour :( anyway im glad they put in the effort for this poor girl though. Kids can be so naive at that age, i know i was.
@@jamie-leighgibson2338 this person isn't necessarily trying to make it about race. it's just that kayleigh was obviously a beautiful white girl, and unfortunately many victims of color don't get treated the same (though there have been cases where the police just don't do their job well even with a white victim, so police can just be trash in general, but people of color are far more likely to have their case taken lazily)
In my opinion, they had her drunk the whole time and was using her sexually both nights, I can't imagine them having a fun first night. Also these guys were butt fucking ugly, how didn't she run when she met him at the carpack? 🤢
I’m not defending him, the man is a horrible, disgusting human being. Although, in the uk, you can drink with adult supervision from the age of 5. You just can’t buy it or go out clubbing until you’re 18 - I think it’s a stupid law but it is what it is.
@@lordvoldemort1524 i believe that is meant to only applie to within the home of a parent/guardian. It's legal for your parent or close relatives who you are in the care of to give you some alcohol but other adults cant legally do so - since they dont have any legal right to be making that decision
Groomers usually don't stick to one kid similar concept as dating around. Keep the options open . Also in this case, he always had urges but never acted on them. Something clicked in his head and he realized he could get away with pursuing a minor. I believe the mutual friends were his way of consoling the urges and fantasies and Kayleigh was the first to show interest in him
She apparently had a habit of adding random people as friends often. Their "mutual friends" could have just been random people on Facebook that were strangers to both of them. Some people just go through other people's friends lists and add every single one as a friend.

When I was 15 I was approached by a man on FB. I was bullied like hell for how I looked all my life and suddenly someone thought I was beautiful, I got so excited. He also wanted to come all the way from Taunton to meet me in Cardiff. He took me to some woods and did things I wasnt ready for; then he told me if I told anyone, I would get into trouble because I shouldnt be doing that stuff at my age. I was so, so scared. He spoke to a number of girls online and when I told him my mam said I wasnt allowed to go and visit him he left me for one of the others. I'm 21 now and as I got older I realised how bad this was, it was grooming, manipulations and I didnt see it for what it was at the time. Kids, no matter how nice, kind, sweet, or amazing anyone overage is online talking to you- BLOCK THEM! If they were normal or decent they wouldn't be talking to you! when i was 13 an older boy 17 followed me as i walked to a friends house after a public school dance. shed left shortly before me, but the boy pushed me and hwrapped me in my own dress while he violated me and thn ran away. I understand the emotions of the situation. what i dont understand is how tf he got you a 15y/o girl to go into the woods alone when you're old enough to know that isn't right. even at 13 i wouldnt have done that.
I feel. When I was 15 I was so depressed and I met a guy who was older through some people at my school (it was a weird situation) he was 19 and actually friends with a teacher, who didn’t know how old I was, so I felt safe. He didn’t make me do things I wasn’t ready for, but he was very verbally and physically abusive. When I left him he would wait outside my class and the security would have to get rid of him. He is still trying to get to me, 4 years later. I think in his mind it’s bc I’m an adult now and he can’t get into trouble if we have sex.... it’s terrifying. I’ve tried to get a restraining order but nope no once cared enough
I'm so sorry for you when I just turned 13 a 15 year old who was a family friend assaulted me in the night while there were other people in the room I still haven't told my parents. A few months later he stayed at our house (he lived in a different country) and he stayed in my brother's room (my brother is trans so girl>boy) and it happened to him too but a bit more serious. These kinds of things happen a lot and it just ignored and I think it should be addressed more and it's just so sad
At 15, my cousin did something similar. She was being bullied severely in school- she ended up changing schools it was that bad and going through a very bad breakup. She met a guy on Facebook that turned out to be 22. He flattered her all the time. She felt like everyone else was immature and she was more like an adult. She met up with him once and thankfully nothing happened because when she got into his car to chat, he’s mother came home early and saw them. All her social media was deleted and she got an old phone with no internet for 6 months. If you are under 18, a man should not be interested in you. You are not mature for your age and women his age are not ‘complicated’. Please don’t fall for it.
Stephen died today in prison. My boyfriend was in college with him and let's just say people had there suspicions about him a long time before Kayleigh came along
Same! I understand that others our age want that kind of attention, but I always put myself in the shoes of the older men. I ask myself, “If I were 20+ years old, why would I want to have a conversation with a 15 year old?” My answer’s always the same, and I always politely leave the conversation 😂

the scariest thing about this case is that I really felt like you were describing MY experience of being groomed, and it cannot be overstated how grown up and 'normal' it felt to me. now im older i think back and its incredibly creepy. Thankfully he never killed me, though he did try. Twice. He was 11 years older than me

I was groomed by an older boy when I was 11-15 years old over the Internet, so I understand Kayleigh’s mindset. When these older men are telling you you’re gorgeous and beautiful and sexy at such a young age, it’s quite a flattering thing. You feel more mature than your peers and you feel like a grown up, which some young people thrive for. The boy who groomed me was 17-21 years old and the entire time I was groomed, he never treated me like the child I was, but instead he treated me like an adult or a peer his age. Luke did the same to Kayleigh, despite finding out how old she actually was, he never treated her as a 15 year old girl.
Same here, they never do treat you like your age, I was being groomed by a 19 year old when I was 13-14. Saying I was cute and he wanted to meet me. Luckily my school did a class on online safely and I saw the signs and stopped talking to him. It's creepy how often it occurs
So did I, and I just know how she felt wanting to have fun with new people and come out of her element of her regular cycle but god took an angel from us :(

i thought i recognised this case, then i remembered we watched a short film on it in high school when learning about internet safety. i think that it was called “kayleigh’s love story”.
I took a class in Jamaican dialect. And when the British came to Jamaica they heard the Jamaicans sayin “ look at that Gull.” So the British thought they were saying “look at that GIRL” but the Jamaicans meant a “SEAGULL” a bird. When the British learned that “Gull” meant Seagull, as a joke they would say “ that’s a cute BIRD”. As in “Girl” Hence the term “Bird” hence the term in America “a chick” a baby chicken.

Hi!I was wondering(hoping please do it) the Lindsay Birbeck case. This case happened only 10 minutes away from me. I'm scared. There is a murderer on the loose. Edit: OMG I JUST LOOKED AND THERE ARE SO MANY LIKES!! THANK YOU!!
RIP Kayleigh Haywood, you will be missed, I remember watching "Kayleigh's love story" as an educational assembly and it left many people at my school in tears. This is an absolutely heartbreaking case. Fly High Kayleigh xx
I met Luke at a house party. I have a photo of me next to him in a group photo. This was a year before this happened. I got a message from my friend telling me to delete him off of my Facebook, because he had been arrested. Seeing all this unfold on the media was horrifying. You never know who you meet. Everyone thought he was a complete creep, he was very distant and depended on alcohol at that party. He became flirty, groped someone, and got kicked out.
@@4mazzy he gave EVERYONE bad vibes. My friend who was hosting the party didn't want him there. Her flatmates friend brought him along, her flatmate was from Leicester. Luke threw up all over the toilet and kept trying to push himself on all the women at the party. He was a horrible hot and sweaty mess.
Man, that is just creepy. I can't imagine being friends or have contact with someone who killed and raped a 15 year old child. Do you still have the photo when he was next to you?
I go to school in Leicestershire and I remember the police coming and doing a presentation about Kayleigh and the dangers of grooming. Truly terrifying.
As a 15 year old myself, this video has taught me not to accept friend requests from people I don’t know or who are a lot older than me. I feel so sorry for Kayleigh and her family
Video idea: the dutch case of Nicky Verstappen. In 1998 the 11 year old boy was found dead after searching for him when he wasnt in his tent the next morning of camp. To catch his killer there was an investigation 10 years after his death in which 6721 men gave a DNA sample. Eventually they got a match but the family of the suspect had filed him missing earlier that year after they lost contact with him while he was abroad. 5 days after he was named a suspect and his picture was released he was found and taken into custody in spain after a dutch tourist who saw the news recognised him. Its a case that shows that its important that information and pictures get shared cus that eventually was the reason the man got caught.
Now I understand why my mum insisted on speaking to my friends parents when I stayed over. She would literally take me to the door and speak to them with my Pjs and everything 😂 literally till I was about 17
Watching this again I realized why my parents called me whenever I'd ask to stay at someones place longer. I thought it was really annoying and controlling but honestly later on it made me appreciate they were just being careful. They liked speaking to my friends on the phone and asking how everything was etc. and I'm so glad they did.
This case happened only 5 mins away from me 😔, and my sister lived only a couple of doors away from her. She was a lovely girl this shouldn’t of happened to her :( x
This is just so heartbreaking. And terrifying. When I also was 15, I talked to a lot of strangers online. And I kind of felt safe, because, no matter if they told me something so vile, I'd never have to see them. But what if I had, for some godforsaken reason, met one of those people, who knows what could've happened. These cases really hit hard when you and the victim were born in the same year.
I wish in school they taught people, especially young girls, that if an older man is into them, its NOT A GOOD THING!!!!! It happened to me when I was 14, and I wish I knew what I do now.
What I don't understand is that in the majority of these videos, the neighbours hear something but don't investigate. Like if I hear a scream, doesn't matter what time it is, I see what it is. It angers me so much.
i mean people scream for a lot of reasons. like kids scream while playing, teenagers scream while talking, like unless i vividly heard “help me”, i’d assume it was nothing, so i get why most would as well
I don't really blame them. A few weeks ago I heard this really loud, long scream. I thought someone was in danger or smth. But 10 seconds later I heard a bunch of laughter. Nothing happened. So idk, people scream when they're having fun or when in a life or death situation. Best thing to do, scream, "I don't know you! Get away from me!" If you're actually in danger.
@@Coolgravy this is when you listen for following noise, i will always give them 5 minutes to see if the screaming continues or it turns to other violent noises or becomes normal, i have called non emergency police a few times due to some seriously concerning incidents and i dont regret it one bit.
I live in Leicester and the police who worked on this case came into our school to talk to us about it and showed us the Kayleigh’s Love Story. It effected me so badly. As someone who goes to the school Kayleigh went to at the time she was murdered, it’s hard to watch a video like this. At the time, I was at the secondary school, the one she went to before the one she was at when she was murdered. There is now a memorial for her at the front of the school. Her story is used frequently at surrounding schools as an example of how social media can end in traumatic circumstances and that it can happen anywhere. The short video called ‘Kayleigh’s Love Story’ which was made as a reconstruction of what happened that night is shown from Year 7 upwards at surrounding schools to educate people about the dangers of social media. Kayleigh’s story is unfortunately forever engraved in local’s minds after what happened that night. Regardless of whether we knew her or not, she will always be remembered.

@@sashkalembowitz203 Definitely....I think that's kind of the point though. I think the contrast between ones idea of a 'love story' and the horrible events of this case are supposed to highlight the warning signs that can lead to these sorts of scenarios. Idk if you've watched it but this 'love story' is definitely not presented in a positive light. Since the video is made to spread awareness (I'm guessing being shown in schools especially) its a very direct way to drive the message home to younger people especially, considering they are most at risk. As Eleanor said at the beginning of the video, " I know the nearest town to her was called ape stock, and ape stock was known for just being a really nice safe place to live" How was Kayleigh supposed to know that was gonna happen, she can't see the future. Like I said not everyone is taught the same. So don't assume EVERY 15 year old knows that because some probably don't.

The police work in this case is really good, it’s really amazing that the police officers went in their own time to find her
No worries this planet has Namjoon I know, it gives me hope for humanity again.
I think this is some of the best police work I have seen on a case like this.
Exactly! Like all of that happened in 4 days!? Wow.

To any young girls reading this who have older men who flirt with them:
There's a reason they cannot get girls their own age.

Finally. Getting angry at the criminal is much more satisfying than getting angry at the bumbling Keystone Cops.
Sad thing is, i wonder if the energy would have been the same for a victim of colour :( anyway im glad they put in the effort for this poor girl though. Kids can be so naive at that age, i know i was.
British police are amazing
Tillie Chitta why would it not be???? Why turn it into something about race you absolute tool
If he got her drunk, isn’t that’s endangering a minor or something?
Stephanie Pavey providing alcohol to a minor is a charge all in its own as well.
@@lordvoldemort1524 That is a very dangerous law.. ._.
Luke said he had a lot of mutual friends with her, so does that mean he had a lot of underage girls on his facebook?
So he might have been grooming other underaged girls while he was grooming her. That is disgusting!
Groomers usually don't stick to one kid similar concept as dating around. Keep the options open . Also in this case, he always had urges but never acted on them. Something clicked in his head and he realized he could get away with pursuing a minor. I believe the mutual friends were his way of consoling the urges and fantasies and Kayleigh was the first to show interest in him
R e d b u l l
She apparently had a habit of adding random people as friends often. Their "mutual friends" could have just been random people on Facebook that were strangers to both of them. Some people just go through other people's friends lists and add every single one as a friend.
hmmm im not sure though, i think he may have only said that to make her feel like she could be safe.

Not necessarily I’m 17 and everyone who meets me and my cousin think I’m older but she’s 25 she looks 12
I'm 21 now and as I got older I realised how bad this was, it was grooming, manipulations and I didnt see it for what it was at the time.

when i was 13 an older boy 17 followed me as i walked to a friends house after a public school dance. shed left shortly before me, but the boy pushed me and hwrapped me in my own dress while he violated me and thn ran away.

Great idea! The DNA investigation was even 20 years after his death! But he isn’t officially convicted yet, even tho it’s obvious he is involved

i mean people scream for a lot of reasons. like kids scream while playing, teenagers scream while talking, like unless i vividly heard “help me”, i’d assume it was nothing, so i get why most would as well
I don't really blame them. Get away from me!" If you're actually in danger.
fr. they literally witnessed a domestic situation and did nothing.
@@Coolgravy this is when you listen for following noise, i will always give them 5 minutes to see if the screaming continues or it turns to other violent noises or becomes normal, i have called non emergency police a few times due to some seriously concerning incidents and i dont regret it one bit.
Can you cover Shukri Abdi’s case? Police was shady and the school as well, she needs all the coverage she can get
14Minnies yes please please do this case
Please cover Shukri Abdi case please

YASSS 😂😂😂 haha 😂🤣🤣YASSSS
How random 😂 she's not even Scottish
But she’s from the north, the people in the video are Scottish. There is no link 😂
Derp Lord are u American lmao because Eleanor is from YORKSHIRE not Scotland hon x
I live in Leicester and the police who worked on this case came into our school to talk to us about it and showed us the Kayleigh’s Love Story. It effected me so badly. I was a similar age to her when she died. Everyone was so scared for a long long time around and on social media. RIP Kayleigh. Life really isn’t fair x
Listening to this story makes me thank God even more for bringing me through my teenage years, 'cause baby.. I was a dumb kid at times.. 🙄😫😫😫😫😫
Suh todehs videoh is the best thing I hear🤣
Eleanor: i’m sor-

lil zoe are you LUKE?
lil zoe omg when she says baby 😍😍😍
The police did an awesome job on this case! I cried when those officers, in their spare time, went to look in a hostile environment for her body for hours in the night. God bless them. Heartbreaking story. Her poor family. Rip Kaleigh x
The early bird neale deal returns. Rip to this lovely girl. So sad.
They played Kayleigh's love story at school and Elanor was at the top of the recommended. ;))
maddie ann why did they show u that at school
Jamie-leigh Gibson to show awareness and not to speak to strangers over the internet as it can lead to what happened to Kayleigh 😪
They played it for us 3 times a year because I went to the schools the men went to and one that she went to
*me is crying*
my bf: can you watch something nice please
me w/ tears in my eyes: no this is what I like okay !! we are both 2000 babies. She was too young. The same thing could’ve happened to me at that age
I believe that that video should be shown to all children in all schools.
I’m so thankful my parents always call my friends parents or talk to them to make sure I’m staying at their house. I used to think it was annoying but I’ve come to realise it’s for my protection
Kayleigh, precious girl. 😢 You never had a chance to grow up and live your life and I am so sorry. I’m sorry for you. I’m sorry for your mother. My heart grieves for those who love you. I pray that you are at peace today. ❤️
I went through this almost exact same scenario when I was 12, except I never went missing... My condolences to this girl's family.
Tabbiya I’m going thru it now & i just don’t know how to escape the whole situation :/
@@ayybibi You don't need to feel sorry for the people you meet online. Chances are, anything they say to keep you in isn't true. You should just leave them behind and forget about them, because then they can't do shit to win you over again. Their actions are not your responsibility.
taz bibi hey, I saw this was written 5 months ago and I was wondering how you are doing now?
@@ayybibi it’s been 10 months I hope that ur okay
@@ayybibi how you doing now?. I was groomed as a teenager get back to me if you want to talk privately.
One of her killers Stephen Beadman, died in prison about 3 weeks ago.
P.S. Stephen will not be missed, and rest in peace sweet angel Kayleigh.
May Stephen rest in hell.
missed the uploads el!! so happy you’re back
love your videos! and i wanted to mention something about the charity you chose to shout out on this video
i’m mother of a premature baby, and i really love to see you supporting charities that aid parents of preemies. I never see anybody give that much attention to it but it really does just flip your life upside down and it’s so touching to see it being recognized.
You truly are an amazing person, giving all these poor people justice and getting their stories told
*talks about hand gestures being an indicator of lying*
*does a bunch of hand gestures*
LOL I thought the same thing....funny. Im new to her channel and Im loving it. She"s so much better than any of the reinactment tv crime shows.
*or telling a story
She said it is a sign of telling a story. Are your ears working?
Isn’t lying the same as telling a story??? Until I was older I wasn’t allowed to say lie I had to say telling a story
@@jamey1858 ikr they must have not hear lmaoo
Seems a bit ghoulish to call it "Kayleigh's Lovestory"
Yeah I saw some other comments referencing this and it's like... a weird title to say the least. It's not a love story, it's a horrific grooming and murder story.
But yeah idk this is just a guess and there is no doubt that it is an exceedingly chilling choice of title.
@@lillythestral9305 Oh no I have watched it, so I know it isn't presented as a lighthearted cutesy story, but yeah likr you said the title is just... I don't feel comfortable with it and sounds like it undermines the case, whereas calling it what it is will make people stop and listen and see it how it went. But also yeah as you said, there's definitely a reasom for them using the title they did :)
I suppose it’s sarcastic to show how horrible it was
@Paranormal_TheatreKid Well, yeah. But the dark humor/irony just seems a little... misplaced for a real tragedy, I guess.
It’s so easy to listen to empty calorie compliments when no one wants you in high school. This story is beyond devastating...
I went through the same thing. I just feel guilty that I survived.
C a g e d B i r d C a l a m i t y absolutley nothing to feel guilty about! they should be guilty
Have you got Instagram? I'm here if you need to talk about anything!
Never clicked so quick..HERE WE GO
Sophie Joan lol sometimes I save them for later 😂 like I don’t want to watch right away bc I want to savor it 😂😂😂😂
I was a stupid teenager just like this, talking to EVERYDAMNBODY on AOL chat (ages ago obviously) and I honestly can't believe I wasn't kidnapped or murdered. I was so dumb. We didn't have social media yet when I was 15 and I would just go meet other teenagers I met in chat rooms. I was incredibly lucky that they were always who they said they were, I honestly can't believe I ever was so naive and foolish. smh. I'm so lucky to be alive.
Same.
Same. Tbh I was an idiot up until my mid 20s, then I started to learn the art of saying NO and LEAVE ME ALONE OR ELSE. I'm 32 now, I honestly keep looking back and thinking wtf was I thinking
Seriously, I am very thankful to be alive. I have had some really awful experiences but it breaks my heart to hear about some innocent kid who never did anything like that, or it was literally their first time doing something, and they just happen to meet a predator and it ends up costing them their life. It makes me feel guilty in a way, like why did I get so many chances?
Same. 🤦🏾♀️
AOL the discord?
My stepdad is a police man near there
And he worked on the case
A rare department it is, apparently. For a change today we get to hear about police doing their job and doing it well!!
He did a great job
As someone also from the area, I'd like to say thank you so much yet again on everyone's behalf for his amazing work. Kayleigh and her family can rest now knowing her killers are paying for their horrific crimes 💜
He did a perfect job, you should be proud 🙂
I thought that the case was very familiar and then when u mentioned that it was Kayleigh's story, it all of a sudden made me feel emotional. I saw the video when I was younger and it really has made me aware of the dark side of the internet 💜
Who else is on a crime binge ✋
Your background looks like eleanor's end card
Every place that is ‘safe to live’ has the most gruesome murders...
this is the only bad thing that happened in ibstock it is a really safe village
@@morgansharpe990 A mate of mine lives in Kesgrave where that schoolboy allegedly shot his friend (trial is ongoing). When he saw that headline in the BBC News he assumed it was South London or a shit corner of Birmingham... not a lovely middle class street where houses go for £450k.
I think murderers choose to live places like that cus people will have their guard down
