      The patriarchal justice system in action. We have the same here in Australia. How dare a girl leave her house looking pretty and expect to not be raped and murdered. Of course she must have been blackmailing him for a job making sandwiches all day (when she already had her dream job). The male run justice system in action (where men here used to get off for raping their wives because "they didn't do their duty"). Sick.

Also, how do we know it’s his first murder? Maybe it’s just the first time he got caught. Clearly he’s capable. Sickening! I hope he rots in there. That's the biggest red flag from the start before they saw the tape and stuff. What a sick twisted liar. That story of her threatening him was BS imo. Wth is wrong with the jury. 23 yrs for brutally murdering a child??

    • @Azby64
      @Azby64 4 роки тому +13

      He was still regarded as a suspect; as law enforcement it's not a one at a time sort of thing, it's recording actions and any gained evidence and returning as seen fit to narrow things down in a calculated manner. (And a manner that cannot be pointed at by defense!)
      Even if a questioned individual seems ridiculous or fishy, it's your and your colleagues' duty to not jump to ANY abrupt conclusions and to always behave as neutral as possible so as to not affect the culprit's own behaviors.
      Due diligence in solving a case also significantly involves avoiding red herrings that can impede a just conclusion--as well as closure for the living victims of the tragedy.

    This case fills me with SO much rage. Another girl murdered by a spineless emasculated incel. We all know what happened that day. He hit on her she was disgusted and her murdered in response. And they reduced his sentence? Disgusting. He lied and tried to tarnish that poor girls image but we know the truth. URG. Half her neck was missing and he's out in 23 years? WRONG on so many levels.

This world has NEVER been safe. We've just learned to be more vigilant, protective of our kids/families, & have developed better technologies to help stop/solve crimes. I have a question about when she went missing. When Dylan called and asked if Paige had shown up, and her boss said she hadn’t, why did her mother believe that Paige was just working hard at her job and wasn’t able to call or text her? Her boss said she wasn’t there, so that meant that she hadn’t made it to work, and was last seen before she got there. It wouldn’t make sense to think she was there, or working hard so she couldn’t make contact with her mother or friends. This is such a sad story. R.I.P Paige :(

    My theory: He caught a liking to her after her coming into the shop so much and being such a bright and cheery person. He, in his own sick mind, thought that she was into him. He made an advance at her which she refused. It pissed him off and he lost it and killed her. The amount of wounds definitely suggests a person who is not in their right mind. The sloppiness of it all makes it pretty clear he'd never done it before.

      This could be a possebility that he murdered her because of his sexual attraction to his own daughter, or that he was sexually attracted to Paige regardless, either way, a lot of rage was envolved here- could be because he hated himself for the possebility he is attracted to a young girl, or, that he was also *rejected* by her. Things like these are unfulfiled fantasies, that a person losing their control on them can get into a lot of frustrations when they can't come true. This could be also a direction for a person to follow the path of a typical serial killer.

      I don't believe she was having an affair with him either, personally.
      Unfortunately, ppl that DO cheat often have a "lovely" significant other. When someone cheats it has nothing to do with the person being cheated on, and everything to do with the cheater themselves. I'm in NO way saying I believe she herself was having an affair with that creeper. I don't know enough about her to know whether she'd do such a thing, and it's unfair for ppl to speculate or point fingers when she can't defend herself. His accusation of her infidelity holds no weight in my opinion. Not exactly the character type I'd look to for an honest explanation of the events that transpired.
