Ironically, when I heard her first husband being supportive of her and her writing, I was immediately doubtful he did it. Devastating to hear that he passed away and she ran into the arms of a terrible man afterwards.
I think our equivalent to a “tip” would be “the dumps” or “junk yard”.

Just fyi in Canada and America the equivalent of a "tip" would be either the "dump" or "landfill".
Normally for residential people's extra or "large" garbage that the weekly garbage pick up doesn't take..you take it to the dump...
The garbage pickup trucks dump their full garbage trucks at a landfill area of the dump..
It's the best possible comparison that I can think of... just an extra fyi Canada is like a cross of British and American for words and terminologies...Often Canada uses both American and British descriptions for things.. part of our history of being a former British territory and now a Commonwealth Country

Cesspit is a tank made of raw materials and a septic tank is a buried tank with a leech field.
Here in NJ we have one night a month where we can throw out anything whatsoever. There are no other areas we can bring our garbage too so we just have to put whatever it might be in our backyard or somewhere until that one night where we can throw out anything. It’s called “cleanout night”

In America, the human waste tank is usually called a septic tank. And it's usually located underground, outside
The location where you take large amounts of trash is usually called the "garbage dump", or just the "dump" here in the US.
Also, an alternate name for a cesspit here is "septic tank".

I know. My dad's owned a septic company my entire life, so I am too familiar, and that's just horrifying to think about. I hope she wasn't, but I think the dog was bc he wouldn't risk being bitten. Maybe they checked the inside of the tank bc it could've had scratches in it (like in that Bones episode or in an HH Holmes' chamber). Idk. Horrible to even imagine.

Hi Eleanor ! Yesterday Marlen Ochoa a 19 year old girl in Chicago was missing and later on found to be murdered. This girl was pregnant and her baby was cut from her womb. Maybe it’s to early to do this case since this literally happened yesterday but this is something so terrible and I can’t even imagine what her family is going through. I will never understand how people can be so sick to kill another human being. 💔 Please keep the family in your prayers and hopefully justice is made !

It's really sad the way Helen and her beloved pet dog Boris were dumped in that cesspit whilst possibly still alive. There was absolutely no reason for this lovely, kind and caring woman and her pet to be murdered. I hope Ian hates every second he is in jail and is reminded of what a horrific thing he did on a daily basis. Let's hope he gets punished more severely in the next life. RIP Helen and Boris x

My Mum was good friends with Helen, she was such a warm and loving person, who experienced the loss of her husband and managed to find a way through the grief, only for her new partner to take her life. They actually met on a widows support group on Facebook, seeing their first interactions on there is beyond sad. Helen you are sorely missed x

UPDATE: Ian Stewart has been found guilty of murdering his late wife Diane Stewart. It is utterly chilling and I can't imagine what his sons are feeling right now. RIP Helen Bailey and Diane Stewart.

In his evidence at Huntingdon Crown Court, Stewart claimed on the day of Mrs Stewart's death he had driven to the supermarket to get French bread and pate to "celebrate" after their son's driving test, but returned home when he realised he had forgotten his wallet.
He said he saw Mrs Stewart "crumpled on the floor" and gave her CPR. He then told a 999 operator: "My wife had a fit. She's in the garden."
He told the operator his wife had epilepsy, but Mrs Stewart had not suffered a fit since 1992.
Mr Justice Bryan said: "Knowing, as we do, that you had killed your wife, it is harrowing to listen to that 999 call, which I am sure was a charade from start to finish.
"Diane was already dead, and you had murdered her."
The judge said Stewart had "in all probability" killed his wife "by a method that incapacitated her before she had any chance to fight back, most likely either a choke hold rendering her unconscious, or a plastic bag placed over the head from behind".

I enjoyed Helen's books when I was a pre-teen. I remember one of her catchphrases as a writer was "it's OK to be a bit shallow" and told a story on her website about when she was asked in an interview why she admired JK Rowling, the only response she could think to give was that "(Rowling) has some really amazing shoes and bags", I related to that lol. It's so sad that everything ended this way for her

Could you please cover the case of the Hart family next? I haven’t seen it get much attention. A woman killed herself, her wife, and their eight children by driving off a cliff. They still haven’t found all the bodies. I went to elementary school with one of the girls who is still missing and it’s all very hard to make sense of.
