If I read something like this about any other game Ive ever played, I would be SURE you are making that up. But it says a lot about this game that I fully believe they would think of that.
you can learn Helsik is a diabolist without even leaving her shop. Just interact with the various items littered around the showroom, there's five or six of them that have an arcana or history check. Pass a single one of these and you'll be able to get her secret inventory
You can also break into her basement and your character will find out there too. Loads of ways to recognize her skills without killing Gortash immediately.
There's a lot of interactions that are repeatable per character for benefits. Oblodra is just one of the more obvious ones because why wouldn't she want more samples?
In regards to the ketheric tip, you could just invis pot the whole team and setup before jumping him. An opening hit on the mindflayer out of invis triggers a surprise round
The ritual dagger blood sacrifice is maybe a little easter egg for DOS2 players as elves in that game get an action called flesh sacrifice which gives you an extra action point & 10% damage boost.
I just found out if I hit square on my controller, I can select lockpick instead of going into inventory and finding my Thieves Tools. I'm +200 hours into my playthrough.
Yikes. I didn't even know you could use the tools directly from inventory. I guess you already know that you can do the same with a shovel, and blindly dig even if you fail the check to find some buried treasure? Because that took me way to long to discover
@@noblesseoblige319Oh indeed. I would have to look through the inventory for the shovel as well. Probably 50+ hours of game play was trying to find things in my inventory. Still not as long as I spent in character creation. 😂
idk if this is the right place but i found out you can pick up the shadow owlbears in the fight against thaniel. straight up have a shadow plush in my invertory. (info: weighs 0 cost 0 and is level 7)
You can kill all the eggs before engaging the spider queen in the cave under the blighted village in act 1 without aggroing anything and then none of them will get hatched during the fight.
Do you need to be invisible or something? I used invisibility to unlock the way point in case the fight got too hairy at the level I was at the time but I didn't think to destroy the eggs as most of the time I think no one is around and therefore my actions will go unnoticed, I am wrong😂.
@@Doorensk1 so as long as arachnid momma doesn't see, she won't aggro? Which is weird because somehow she sure as hell saw me pick up something near the well entrance 😆.
@@XSR_RUGGERAs long as you're not in its line of sight. You can see how far enemies can see you if you hold shift or are in sneak mode. For stealing an item, maybe they knew because it was wrapped in a spider web perhaps?
Easier way to identify Helsik is a diabolist. Go to the Devils Fee, there's various objects around you can interact with. Use a high Arcana character when doing so to pass the checks it causes. After passing a few you'll unlock the related dialogue with Helsik.
The ritual dagger grants you the bonus whenever it gets blood in it, so use your bonus action to off hand attach with it and get the bless with no draw backs
The Blood Sacrifice effect procs on enemies, too. You don't need to use it on yourself. I usually use it in my off hand and attack with it first, then my main hand weapon attacks with the buff.
Here's a tip. During the fight with Yurgir in Shar's domain (or whatever) in act 2, he eventually drops 14 Orthon explosive bombs. You can actually just pick all of them up, and they are disarmed and can be used. They're incredibly powerful, doing basically a combined 50 damage split between fire and force. Not even joking, these 14 bombs allowed me to cheese the fight with the Netherbrain on honor mode. Ran in there and unloaded all 14 bombs for the kill in the first turn. I'm actually curious if you can just leave him alive and farm him for these bombs, maybe something for your testing?
for the guards that were calm emotioned, you can also use that cleric spell. i forget the name but its level 2 and cures things. you can use it to cure that tiefling when her legs don't work too.
Githyanki Providence + Longstrider + momentum + dash + Illithid flight = I don’t want to fight Orin, I’m gonna go back to the beginning of act 3 on this turn.
Could you get multiple of the Dragonborn or other rare race potions if playing multiplayer and having your friend drop in as a Dragonborn? I wonder if them dropping out and coming back in with a new character would allow for another go, or if they just mark that it was done by a Tav and prevent any other Tav from making use of the feature.
The Ritual Daggers "Blood Sacrifice" ability can be used in dialogue too for bonus to checks. It shows up at the bottom with other bonuses. One of the best daggers in game.
@@talmiz101 Aasimar, Gnolls, and Kobolds are already in the game and modeled, so it's not a huge stretch to add them, other than dialog options that might be needed.
How does the tielfings blood work? You can have a tielfing give blood to get a potion that lets you cast flame blade? Is that the same.of Mephistopheles tielfings have tats ever long rest? If so I'm about to restart my honour mode run as a tielfing. I wanted to make a build centered around flame blade without being a druid, as I feel flame blade is the coolest looking sword in the game, but I didn't realize it was only per long rest and you can't up cast it at all. I was even thinking of doing a lvl 3-6 spore druid, level 3 thief/assassin and level 3-6 gloomstalker build with blame blade and shadow blades as my main weapons, or a smiting paladin druid soni could utilize flame blade. Why does this still suck so much? The summon blade skill from warlock is so much bette, but it's just default looking weaponry.
Likely just like learned spell scrolls in Wizard, you could learn it. But without enough levels in the class, you lock it away until you pick up the class again. Try 1 level in bard and see what happens.
Considering I gave Karlach one monk level and now she gets [Monk] dialog options, I assume yes. There are also dialogs specific to certain diety worship, but I haven't seen any specific to subclasses (eg a bard's college or a monk's tradition)
@Blasted2Oblivion disguise self changes your character's weight in this game, allowing you to be thrown or pushed further, as well as unlocking interesting dialog options, so it's possible, but I think that it is limited to once per character.
I like how you have somehow been to Moonrise Tower yet you are still clearing out the nautoloid crash and blighted village? You obviously cheated to get the items. Why bother making a video on how to get these? You could just make a video that says "Cheat like me"
Another use of Calm Emotions that may not be obvious is shutting down Rage on enemy barbarians.
I assume it is its primary use
Easier to just make sure they can never take a bonus action to rage
unfortunately, you come across a grand total of about 2 barbarians in the game
@@Adealerofblackberryyeah, lol. And even then, they are pretty weak too. Not even worth the level 2 spell slot 😂
You can also use it in duke ravengard if you chose to get wyll out of his pact and mizora shows up to kill him during the iron throne rescue
The other day i just found out that Yurgir's bed can talk by casting Speak with Dead

You can also learning about Helsik by freeing Yurgir from his contract and then things happen.
I was kinda hoping wyll would have a unique blood elixir after being transformed, but nope, still just human versatility.
The cantrip thing looks less like a secret and more like a massive bug to me
Oh yeah, it totally is
Dang, didn't realize each character could give up their blood for an elixer. Just got the one for my tavs blood.

The ritual dagger blood sacrifice is maybe a little easter egg for DOS2 players as elves in that game get an action called flesh sacrifice which gives you an extra action point & 10% damage boost.
