Half of Trey's band are under 45, actually, and Natalie Cressman is like 31. She's barely older than Billy, and has been in that band for 12 years, believe it or not. First time I ever saw either Trey or Billy was at Delfest 2017. I'd not heard of Billy before then. I knew who Trey was, but didn't know much about him other than he played in Phish. To say I was blown away by both of them is an understatement! I was expecting some kind of laid back jam music from Trey's band, but they were high energy, very well rehearsed and tight Billy was sitting in with many other artists the entire festival. Greg Allman passed away that weekend and every artist was throwing in some Allman Brothers as tribute, plus Government Mule was the closing act. What a festival that was.
