I’m really impressed with Billy in this video. He did not make it about himself which many musicians of his caliber might have. Instead he just served the music. Well done.
Yeah I get the sense with Trey's appearances with Billy and with Goose of a happy, chill dad having so much fun jamming with his kids he's super proud of
So if Trey and Billy are on stage together then these fans were blessed by some form of higher power. I’m religious now. I’ve seen a miracle performed.
Strings is a machine! So talented. Train is a great song to do as grass. I think Trey was like..."wow....this kid smokes my song. ". Great honor both ways.
I just saw Trey (my favorite musician of all time) come out with Goose at RCMH. That was absolute magic. Then I bought tickets to see Billy in Philly for the first time and that night Trey sits in with Billy. There is no torches being passed, just torches burn brighter as a result. These other bands made it on their own and Trey appreciates them. I do feel we may only have a short time remaining for Trey/Phish (just a weird feeling) so let's enjoy and celebrate his greatness.
Trey even mentioned in an interview "Idk how much longer i'll be able to do this" Makes sense, him and the rest of the guys are retirement age and have been touring hard for years. Not to mention the complexity of Phish songs can't be any easier to play when you're 60. That being said, I was sure to buy tix to 5 nights of Phish summer tour this year. Enjoy it while it's here, indeed. We are fortunate to be able to see some of these great musicians.
@@218maryland me too going to Philly and AC... waiting for Mexico announcement because I very well may do that. But since there is no announcement yet, they may be doing a festival instead for the 40th anniversary.
Can really tell how much both Trey & Billy really enjoyed playing together… Like equally 100% both just having genuine fun ripping together which is when & where the best music is always made!
Wow, what a treat to see these two together at such a cool venue! These legendary jam band artist collabs are the best thing to happen in the past couple of years.
~ 37:30 Trey grinning from ear to ear as he watched Billy set up and loop that signature note. I love it. Thanks for uploading- this is an absolute gem, the Billy and Trey part of this incredible show.
Trey following young Billy from the woods. thank you Trey for honoring this amazing spirit we are blessed with. Both Trey, and Billy are amazing. bless them both
The professionalism the direction the overall boss nature of billy steering this ship and being so welcoming and warm with trey but absolutely flooring it and keeping trey on his toes and truly improvising. 40+ minutes of bliss. ❤
Damn, what a life these guys are living. Especially Billy and the boys who at their age experiencing all that touring has to offer. I want to be in that band.
With the Tweeprise exit, gangster AF. What a great set of music by a group of crazy talented performers. Thankful to be alive in this era with such easy access to high end art.
Man that was great, thank you I really enjoyed that - I thought I had heard everthing but first time hearing the song "All Fall Down" what a great song. Cool to see Trey having fun also
Love that they did tweeprise as the outtro music after they were done. The bromance is real and I’m here for it all!! Love for everyone on that stage❤️
I've had 4 or 5 dreams that Trey was just hanging out with me, at a picnic table, at a show, weird things like that, years ago. This is great, I'm glad he took some time and sat in with these guys.
I have been seeing phish since 88. I have had so many dreams of just hanging with the band. I thought I was the only one. I actually hung with the band in 88 at a ninja custodian show on cliff st in stowe, vt. I also talked to trey at Stowe mtn lodge in 92. But man Im an old head and have very few stories
Thank you SO MUCH for this-great footage and incredible sound-I love watching them shred on acoustic and your view lets everyone see exactly what they are doing-now I gotta go see BMFS!!
Thank you for posting this in such great resolution and stability and sound... and sacrificing dancing. That was an absolute rager and one of the best 40 minutes stretches of music I’ve ever heard. Absolutely fantastic.
This made my morning Thank you. I must have already listened to this show 6-7 times since they played live. I listened to this live as I drove over the GW bridge and NJ turnpike and can’t put it down. Now I have your front row view! Thank you

Love and Regret (BMFS original )
Looks like Trey learned My Love Comes Rolling Down live on the stage … (which is not too much to ask since it’s just a few chords in D)
When Doc and Merle Watson did "My Love Come Rolling Down," they were covering Eric Von Schmidt who wrote and performed it.
Thank you for sacrificing your dance moves to capture this video
🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏right would be impossible for me ...lol
Shake them bones..
Second that emotion!
Lmao one of the funniest comments I've seen in a min
Haha love this
I love how Billy pulled out the old pitch shift loop trick as kind of a tip of the hat to Trey.
I literally got water in my eyes at seeing his reaction. This was amazing
I’m really impressed with Billy in this video. He did not make it about himself which many musicians of his caliber might have. Instead he just served the music. Well done.
"With special guest Trey" is my new favorite genre. Must be pretty amazing to jam with your musical children.
Hell yeah
Yeah I get the sense with Trey's appearances with Billy and with Goose of a happy, chill dad having so much fun jamming with his kids he's super proud of
@@uuuuu1111except fuck Goose
He’s been knocking ‘em out with our elders too. Most recently I’m aware of is the MF Boss!
Glorious to witness the passing of baton.
Absolutely insane!!! Such an amazing moment for anyone who loves Phish and Billy. They killed it.
From 2009/10 to now, Back on the Train is like a revival song. Billy and Trey took it to another place and space in time.
Reprise*
Billy and Trey bobbing their heads in unison! Priceless and the way Trey stares at Billy during Love and Regret. Awww!
mancrush
He's looking at his guitar too see what he's playing cause he doesn't know the chords
@@strangenate27 Yep... that's what I'm thinking too.
"That was beautiful", Trey at the end of that tune. All Love.

Love Comes Rolling Down....I'm not crying. You are.
A Billy Strings kind of day is just fine.
Holy cow. Strings band humble. Trey humble. I really needed that. Thanks
Pure gold! Nobody is happier playing music than Trey. Man that shit is infectious!
Get your guitar out and let's jam !
Billy wasn’t born when Trey started his journey. Thats gotta be amazing feeling on so many levels

The fiddle sounds so nice with Billy's band 😍🎻
Officially a member of the band now!
@@scubasteve4093 I saw their proposal after my comment. I hope they live happily ever after ♥️
