I grew up driving little Fords 8N, a NAA Jubilee and the 801 baler and plow tractor. As an adult i bought a 1959 871 Powermaster with the Select-o-speed transmission for $900. Only had 1200 hours on it. It wasn't as pretty as this one but it was pretty close when I got done with it. I used it brush hogging for several years. Then added a loader to it and moved hay. Ended up selling it to the local UPS driver and he used it for everything for a few years and passed it on to someone else to get a bigger one. It gave me great service and I made a couple thousand on it. Can't complain about that but I still miss it.
The Golden Jubilee Ford Tractor was made in 1953, the same year the brand-new Red Tiger engine debuted. The '58 wasn't a "new" model and the Red Tiger engine had been around for a while by then. The sheet metal on this tractor is virtually the same as the '53 Golden Jubilee as well. Having said that, this particular tractor in the video is stunning. Absolutely amazing how well kept it is. Truly a grail tractor.
The one give away as to being a live p.t.o. Is the clutch pedal. Clutch pedal in the up position like yours shows to be live p.t.o. With out any doubt or argument by any so called expert. Live p.t.o. Adds to value of tractor. I have 1954 860 172 cu live p.t.o. My favorite ford tractor of all time.
The Ford tractors of this era have got to be some of the most beautifully styled machines of all time. The Ford 6000 is also an awesome looking machine, though very unreliable by all accounts.
A beautifully restored 861. Several errors in your description. Major ones have already been pointed out; Golden Jubilee was a '53 and the 861 designation is with a live PTO. And the 8 in the 861 means that is has the larger, more powerful engine; 172 CI as opposed to the 134 CI in the 601 series. Others I will let you research for yourself.
Sorry that Ford eventually merged with New Holland. May have been a financial necessary evil. That Ford is a dream machine. Pull a stuck tank out of the mud. Ford Power! Yahoo!
That's a beautiful tractor Sir ! I can't imagine how you part with it . Myself , i am looking for my first ford tractor , and to do a full restoration , i've little experience , but lots of will , & research . My question is when i'm buying paint , what paint colors are the rims , the silver , and the dished part of rim & last but not least , the awesome Red -- do you remember what color or # it is . A Great vid. Thanks for showing . Cyril
Hoooooohhweeee, she'd go real good with gleaming new County Line post hole auger, boy could i lay down some fence posts with that, shes freshly broke in and ready for some work!
What a stunning piece of art. I think I will rebuild one myself.

And didn't the 800 series tractors have a 49 or 50 hp engine not a 29hp?
@@kevinroberts5140 Yes, although it's about impossible to nail down exactly what it had for HP.
I spent many hrs on a 860 with Wheel weights and liquid filled tires very great 2 wheel tractor.
That is awesome! They are cool tractors
What a beauty. I grew up on an 8n, have 3 now, and an 860 and an 851 powermaster. All get used on the farm yet. Nothing restored, but functional.
861 Should be live PTO, with the 5speed. 851 was the 5spd without live PTO. Either way, that tractor is gorgeous!

Nice tractor, definitely should have a live pto if it’s a 861.

My question is what can you do with it besides store it in a garage and take it to shows?
Clutch pedal position is dead give away as to being live p.t.o. Yours is in the very most upper position deeming it to be live p.t.o!!!
