Kansas Wheat Farmer here who has ancestry ties to Indiana and seeing what y'all do has provided me different guidance on operations to reduce field working time and to utilize resources more. We share the same tastes in equipment. John Deere, Allis and Gleaner.
They originated from Kokomo and also Northern Kentucky. The family was split during the Civil War basically, with one side in the Union and the other side in Confederacy. I have ties to Alabama, Texas, Illinois and several other states from both of my family sides as well. The Indiana folks name was Horine and Harrison Horine moved west to Kansas after the war and contributed locally in a variety of ways. He is buried in Great Bend, Barton County, Kansas. I was born in Hoisington, 10 miles north. Harrison is also honored at the the Barton County Courthouse. His headstone reads his name and that he was in the 47th Indiana Infantry. It's confirmed that unit was at Vicksburg under General Grant during that siege.
thanks for the outside view...beautiful tractor. I love 4840s with big front rubber. That's a lot of disk and crumbler you're pulling! We've got hills, rocks, and clay so our 4755 MFWD has a workout with 25' disk & crumbler.
Found your channel researching double basket crumblers. I have enjoyed watching it so far. 48 is walking the dog. We pull a 21-foot with a 4650 but have many hills to climb.
You are doing good job I wonder in which gear you are because a looks like you are operating too fast you must killing your tractor you spouse your tractor to get hot and could get it overheater if you don't check the water temperature and give it a break
Thanks for the ride along. Did day labor for a neighbor that had a 4840. Had a dozer blade on and did alot of chisel plowing with it.
Thanks for watching, oh yeah we like our 48s, with the bigger wheels on it makes it look bigger also.
Thanks for the ride in the 4840, enjoyed!
Thanks for watching
