- Removing and replacing the crankshaft position sensor on a 2003 to 2010 Nissan Micra K12 1.0 litre petrol. Some of the most common symptoms of a bad crankshaft position sensor are: an illuminated check engine light, the engine won’t start or it stalls, the engine misfires or runs roughly and you might have reduced fuel economy. If you’re renewing the sensor, the part number is 237315M016. Thanks for watching. Please comment, like and subscribe !.

I am not a mechanic and looking at other confusing videos, I didn’t feel like doing it until I found yours which is straightforward and clear as a mountain lake.
I got me a new crankshaft sensor and did it. Well done sir 👍
You're very welcome, thanks for watching !
Can you advise me where you bought the crankshaft sensor from?
I ordered it in a shop but usually, I use autodoc
@@jean-marcknight8816 original or some replacement?
Thanks 😘
You're welcome !

Can you help me with the part number of this green connector. Mine is worn out
It's very hard to find. This is the best I could could come up with: www.aliexpress.com/item/10000356135177.html
My micra is cranking but not starting
I checked the fuel pump its working fine i checked all fuses they are all fine then i removed the fuel injectors and tried to start it and it wont spray fuel and removed one coil to see if there is spark i didnt get any spark
So can the crankshaft position sensor do it?
Or is it the ecm?
It's one possibility. They're relatively cheap to buy so it might be worth replacing it first
Hey did you get to the bottom of the nonstart? Been trying to get some form of life out of mine for a couple of days now. Doesn't seem to be the crank sensor for me
Hello, I have a 2006 Nissan Micra that only starts for few seconds and switche off again. I have changed plugs, coil packs, camshaft and crankshaft sensor but the problem is still there
It stays idle for few seconds and as soon as I touch the accelerator peddle it looses all the power and shuts off
It could be a faulty fuel pump, a clogged fuel or air filter among many other things. You'll probably need to take it to a garage to have the problem diagnosed

My vehicle does not have a crankshaft sensor cable, how can I find it?
Nissan Micra k12 2004 1.2
Please help thank you
I don't know where it could be or why somebody would remove it, sorry
@@screwsnutsandbolts There was a 3-pin crankshaft sensor in my vehicle, can I use a 2-pin crankshaft sensor instead?
I'm not 100% sure but I think you would need to use the same as the original for it to be recognised by the engine mangement system.
P0335 P0725 code ?
My car doesn’t start but start if I take off crank connector what does it mean? Where is the problem?
Crank connector ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts yes
I don't know what you mean by crank connector ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts ….I mean electrical plug which fits on sensor
Normally a car won't start if you disconnect the crankshaft sensor so that's unusual. I'm not sure what's happening there. You'll probably need to have a mechanic have a look at that.
