- Nissan Micra 1.2i with the complain crank but no start . After the fault error scan , this is what fault code we ended up fixing :
P0340 CMP SEN / CIRCUIT B1

Stupid sensor. We had this problem previously and the mechanic couldn't figure out what's wrong so we bought a whole second hand engine the car worked fine for 2 years now i know the sensor is the culprit. The sensor has also died in this other engine. Thanks for saving us money, I'm ordering the new sensor
Is this a pull down design sensor,, it looked like that. I have a march that has a new cam n crank sensor, wouldnt start unless I loose the positive terminal and arc it to the positive terminal( scrap or hold it slightly) to start.

Thant honk/quack in the end after starting the car. I heard that noise is caused by a faulty starter motor but it being a common thing that the starter motor will probably not fail until a long time

Dear bro, your video's are wonderful and very helpful, i need your help, i bought a micra ntec 2010 diesel, i having problem with starting, if i don't start and drive for three or two day it won't start, then i have to use jump leads to start it again then it works, although i have a new battery, please please can you advise me about it, I took to lots of people but they cant solve the problem. I will be very very greatful, if you advise me, what i should do with it. thank you so much.
@Basharat try to atleast start car daily for couple minutes to keep the battery charged up, the battery tends to drain due various factors e.g cold temperatures

Please I'd like you to answer my question:
My micra 2008 won't start, It crank but not starting and also the fuel tank fill up so quick with just half a litre of petrol.
Without diagnostic tool will be impossible to help you . Do you have spark , do you have signal to the fuel injectors ?

Thank you for replying, as I was trying to fix it today; I changed the crankshaft censor because there was engine light that stays on on the dashboard and also I jacked up the side where the fuel tank is located and I saw petrol going down into the tank then it start. The problem is that petrol not going down into the tank.
Please what should I do next.

@@bunmiojelana5560 Probably you have some problem with the Tank Vent Valve , the valve that is allowing the pressure from the petrol evaporations to go in the atmosphere

My mickra is 2005 1.0 wont starting l, sometimes start and turn off while driving.
Without a code reader , is going to be hard to find the problem
I had this issue, change out the sensor it fixes the cut out mid drive as for starting I’m still trying to diagnose it it might be the fuel pump not sure

Is bad ECU could cause P0340 fault? my nissan march has P0340 code got new Camshaft sensor instaled, I`ve checked timing chain and timing itself both looks good. Fault still coming back sometime when accelerating 4k-6k RPM.
without removing top cover you can change the cam sensor
Yes you can change the cam but not the crank
@@judemcgarrell8910 You can definitely change the crankshaft sensor. I just did it today. You ONLY need to remove the air flow pipe into the air filter box. Then use a 10mm socket on an extension.
I have a Micra 2004 model 1.2 car, the cam sensor has been changed, but the engine light and also the engine at start-up in the morning are still unstable. I hope to find a solution to this problem.
Did you find out what the problem was? I have the same thing.
Culprit could be the timing chain becoming stretched, sometimes throws up camshaft position sensor fault.
