Well, for the longest time it just . . . wasn't there for me and it was incredibly frustrating, however I did eventually find out how to spawn it. You have to go to the City with Triton in your party, and then there will be a quest known as A Young Noble's Request. I think this quest spawns after chapter 6, but I could be slightly wrong on that front. Once you complete the quest, go back to the location of when 4 blades should spawn and you'll be set.

Agreed on both points. The hero is fantastic, and I instantly fell in love with the character. And I wish the unique monster's skills were granted retroactively. It just feels kinda bad to get a new class and realize that it's not great until you go back and re-kill all the unique monsters you already beat.

I can't believe a game already as big as this one added in a Blue Mage class with the most optional abilities I think I've ever seen, more than *the MMO* even.
Indeed. The only Blue Mage I've seen that had more options was the one in FFXI, as that one had literally hundreds of spells, and putting together certain specific combos of spells unlocked traits that helped support the style of gameplay you were going for with those spells. Ah btw, you mentioned that AOE Power Charge was hard to come by, and that Signifier has to pull it randomly, but you can actually reliably grant teamwide Power Charge by using Fusion Art Resonant Flag and Cross Impact. Even not using the Fusion Art will still grant it to the whole party, but the caster will consume Power Charge immediately afterwards. Not sure if you already knew and I misunderstood what you meant but might be helpful for anyone looking for ideas.

Thumbs up for the crazy amount of work that went into this video. Well done. Hopefully this encourages people to try out some unique combinations with Soul Hacker.
Why is Ashera important for the combo? Is it because she's the attack defender or she has some unique skill that's good? I'm on NG+ and want to do something OP too haha
@@akirawang6275 mostly because her ability when she finishes an order pushes it for 200% automatically while disabling herself for the rest of the chain, allows for dmg ratio buildup up to 500/600% in round 1 which is great if you want to try and off a superboss with about 60-70% left
For this class in particular, could we get a guide on how to set up the hero for the class as well? Triton builds so differently from party members reclassed into Soul Hacker, so it could probably be its own guide, but it'd be very much appreciated.
tbh, heroes are overwhelming and are only useful for their chain attack orders and his combo arts(break topple launch...) only exception being buffers like fionna
ngl, I thought Enel would have made this guide last lol Thanks for doing it early so we don't have to comment 'can't wait for Soulhacker' on every video.
I just got this class today. Thank you so much for the map part of the guide! This class is amazing! Rest In Peace my story progress. I’m going hunting!
After three vids on the base 6 classes, I was expecting pone of those. But happy to see this class get a video so fast. Thank you for all of your work on this game, love your videos.
Beast Howl may not be the best art for SH tanks (at least after you fill out the roster a bit) but you can't deny how hilarious it is to run. Just opening every fight with a big aoe AWOOOOOOO!
Can't believe ther's already a guide for this class. Kudos to ya I'd also like to mention what a curveball it was to find that the Hero who's class name and concept screams edgelord turned out to be an ol Jolly Roger
Sacrificial heal is a great meme. Make one of your dps soul hackers take reckless attack to half their hp, and then take sac heal and another damage skill, they will basically die to every part wide hit, but also fully heal the party, so you dont need to worry about people being out of range of your healers
Didn't realize there was a class that needed a 1 hour guide compared to the ones you have done previously. I need to get further in this game so I can see all it has to offer. Just got to the forest
The class is insanely customizable but if youre just trying to get through the story I'd say just get it to lvl 10 on one character and keep its skill on them for all the optional bosses. It's very much an endgame class to mess around with
While the offensive set is great, I personally think Buffer Soulhacker is the best set, and really one of the best sets of any class in the game (skip to the bottom past the set for details). Those who are fully optimizing their teams for the land of challenge and such probably already know what it is and why it's so good, but for those who don't, here's the set: Arts: Dragon Decree+Snake Eyes Battle Pheromone+Desperate Charge Butterfly Dust+misc Skills: Large-Scale Shock Strength Support One with the Land/Breath of an Era Gems: Swelling Blessing X Refined Blessing X Soothing Breath X Accessories: Devotional Necklace Gust Bracelet Shield Belt Buffer Soulhacker aims to give the party as many buffs as possible as quickly as possible, and reliably. Sounds like a different version of Signifier, right? Well, Buffer Soulhacker is significantly better than Signifier, in actuality. While it doesn't give as many buffs as Signifier, Buffer Soulhacker does give you buffs without relying on RNG (and long animations), it instantly gives the entire party buffs (meaning it doesn't give them to itself and then has to share them), can clear the entire party of debuffs, and it gives you all of the buffs that you'll really want anyway: Attack Up, Critical Up, Critical Plus, Power Charge, Fast Charge, and Defense Up). It does all of this with just four arts, meaning there are two slots left for you to be able to clear enemy's buffs, set a regenerate field, or potentially set the enemy's arts recharge to 0. With the set seen above, it can give your entire party every buff mentioned at the very start of the battle, something Signifier can't even dream of. Offensive Soulhacker is great, but I personally think Buffer Soulhacker is the best use of Soulhacker.
I played a ton around this class and unlocked all of the arts and skills. Honestly one of my favourite things about Xenoblade 3, I defeated all of the Superbosses with relative ease with this class. It's like a snowballing class, the more you get it going and understand it, the more crazy combos you can pull off by working together with other classes like Signifier.
Comment to please the algo xD I appreciate the quality of your content, you are the only one making content for both new players and post game players, most other videos that get suggested have 0 new information in them >.< I appreciate trying to keep this short but I would have loved seeing the tank and healer version of this class, maybe you can revisit this when these builds are more attractive? Cheers
For for those who need to change the weather, I think I found a reliable way to change the weather that I don't see a lot of people talking about. I find that if you save then quit to the title screen, then reload you save file, the weather will change. I tested this briefly but when I miss the boss in Cadenza I reloaded my save file and noticed it was a completely different weather than before, I did it once more and got it to thunder storm again. Let me know if that helps you.
One thing I noticed about Transient Bond is that the projectiles are rather delayed from the art animation. This is presumably done so that you can't cancel Transient Bond into itself again and again, but this also has an added side effect: you can initiate a chain attack while the projectiles are in the air, but before they hit your target. Not sure just how much extra damage (if any) you can get from that, but it's neat that Herald's legacy lives on in XC3!
mmm, that is not the guide I was expecting next but now that I heard the premise of the weapon I am looking forward to it with careful enthusiasm. I enjoy the hunt for for unique monsters but this sounds like a lot of sub tasks for the upgrades. That said I'll still be looking forward to the next base part weapon guides. edit: "I can't believe I'm saying dying is a viable strategy but here we are" Fortify skill from Monster Hunter says hi. (not a meta skill but one of the highest boosting skills in the series when active)
me personally i just fought unique monsters on the way to completing actual story tasks, I didnt go back to defeat that many that were in earlier areas and by the end of the game i'd say i had a decent amount of options
do this Setup with an Evasion/Tank Soulhacker and switch some Accessoires and Jewels for Aggro/Evasion Build. The Key is the Skill Underworld Rage, with this Skill, my Evasion Tank Mia does the same Damage as my Attackers and hold the aggro. Thanks a lot for your hard work Enel. If i look for Xenoblade Builds, your Chanel is the way to go.
Okay, so if you get Soulhacker as soon as possible, and are just looking for a quick build that works for him at lv50-ish, this would be my suggestions: Arts: - Double Bite (given by default); - Dino Flash (Lv.47 Fineblade Faltaar, Swordmarch); - Toxic Gas (Lv.42 Spectral Remy, Cadensia). Master arts: - Shark shock (Lv.49 Intrusive Neville, Cadensia); - Battle Pheromone (Lv.50 Gracious Titania, Pentelas); - Sumo Press (Lv.12 Indiscreet Gombaba, Aetia). Skills: There's not any great option, but a lot of decent options depending on what you need, I'd go for: - Just a moment (Lv.14 Migratory Circe, Aetia) for sure, but other than that, some nice choices are: - Reserve Life (Lv.48 Bushwhacker Farritt, Pentelas); - Accelerator Organ (Lv.43 Night-Stalker Volodya, Fornis); - Sacrificial Heal (Lv.40 Farseer Pirtett, Fornis); - Either Supercharge (Lv.43 Determined Vatslav, part of the Keves Castle triads) or Defense time (Lv.19 Unruffled Narrah, Fornis); - Systematic Defense (Lv.26 Sensitive Catullus, Aetia); - Emergency Turbo (Lv.24 Repulsive Deepus, Aetia) or Dodge Acceleration (Lv.24 Gushing Masquin, Aetia). These are the few good ones that's available as soon as you can get Soulhacker, which is around lv50-ish. Better options are either from UM lv60+ or locked behind story progression and/or quests. With the aforementioned setup, you can function as a decent member of the team, regardless of which role you choose, you won't be able to compete with the likes of Incursor, Lone Exile, and Signifer in their respective roles, but you'll still do fine.
Going into the reasons why I went with these particular arts and skills basically got to do with the fact I could only fit Lanz into Healer role at the time I got the class. And in chapter 5, even if you're overleveled as spark, Soulhacker as a healer is about as useful as Strategos and/or Thaumaturge. All the other healing arts not counting the one the class get by default is locked behind story progression or lv80+ UMs. So my answer to that was Battle Pheromone from Gracious Titania. It gives crit and ATK buff to everyone in range around the user outside of chain attack and it has a big AoE so it'll likely buff everyone unless you're fighting a really big enemy (inside chain ATK, it buff everyone on the team regardless of position). That quickly became a stable in my build since it's useful even on atkers and tanks, especially when fused with Toxic Gas, which gives Powercharge. "Just a moment" as a skill works extremely well with that and Signifer since it heals you for 3% health every time a buff is applied, making it easy to keep the dmg buff for being over 90% health (Dino Flash+accessory). "Sumo Press" give access to Smash, which is useful on both Atkers and Tanks (though as healers, it's might be more beneficial to swap to something else). The rest of the options are just aiming toward high multipliers for big dmg, and adapting to whatever needs the role need to fill.
Hey thanks for this guide. I have been using this while using different strategies from the invincible guide and been having a lot of fun with the crazy things I can do now
This video was in my recommendations right before I got the Soulhacker class, so when I saw the length of the video compared to your other guides I was a bit puzzled. Though, after unlocking it I immediatly was like "ooooooh, this is why... WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?" lmao!
30:03 has anyone actually tried this art (Sumo press)? I tried it for the lols and in chain attack it deals an insane amount of damage. I was level 63 and was fighting a 64 UM, and with a multiplier of 788% that shit dealt 1.5M damage (which is a lot at level 63) killing the UM at 70% HP
Oh trust me, depending on how you have the smash art fused with, you reach damage cap during chain attacks with the enemy hitting the ground, not the actual move damage, just the damage from the smash itself!. It's nuts and why I'd argue that it needs to be its own tier alongside signifier.
soulhacker is good to use in game as well, i can easily get it back up to being powerful in just 1-2 hours of beating unique monster (of course assuming your team level is around 50-60). My build: Sumo Press - Double Strike, Piercing Laser - Toxic Gas, Aquatic Missle - Dino Flash, skills: Dangerous Claws, Reckless Attack, Underworld Rage. Accessory just do attack up and crit percentage up, and make sure your crit goes over 51% then you are golden. All of my attacks including arts are in the 4, 5+ digits against a lot of decent unique monsters.
I was really looking for a build to play it now (I'm in chapter 7) so I'll definitely try this one out! Thank you! It would have been nice to see in the video something like a mid adventure build
something really funny i found is for both soul hacker and martial artist, 2 class clothing options that i've seen make it so the gauntlets don't show and it's literally just a fist fight. the first being signifer and other being one of the healer post game class
Oh I was actually looking forward to seeing the defender and healer classes 😅 in any case awesome video. I didn't use this much in the beginning but after a while I started giving it a shot and killed some UMs and it's really incredible but takes an insane amount of work so thanks for the breakdown
one interesting way to use SH is to set it up as a buffing machine with all the aoe crit/attk/Pwr charge abilities. From something i saw on bilibili, Noah on swordfighter when having all the buff from soul hacker and the attk up circle from medic gunner can hit damage cap with a smash/aerial slash fusion when it crits.
@@EnelXC i see, would love to see a breakdown on why that is if people ever figure it out xD, from what i have tried nothing else come even close to having the same scale of damage in a single hit outside of maybe 1500%+ chain attacks
oh wow, I didn't expect this class guide so early! I was wondering why I don't have any left side arts, so this really really helps a lot. I'm excited to keep using it!
What we really need to know is if any of these skills that seems way too situational or specific for what it does (e.g. Reckless Attack) is actually an independent multiplier or at least goes into a separate additive multiplier pool that is harder to boost. Have people tested all of these or datamined them to check for this? This sort of thing has historically been one of the trickiest things about damage in this series; identifying how powerful stuff like Slit Edge, Core Crusher, Aura Assault, Offensive Stance, etc. become with other multipliers has taken us a while because the information is obscured by just looking like another boost.
MonolithSoft outdid themselves with the sheer number of gameplay options in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I don't think I've played another Action RPG that gives the player so much customization, and the Soulhacker class is a testament to the amount of effort they put in.

For this class in particular, could we get a guide on how to set up the hero for the class as well? Triton builds so differently from party members reclassed into Soul Hacker, so it could probably be its own guide, but it'd be very much appreciated.
would be nice to see that too
tbh, heroes are overwhelming and are only useful for their chain attack orders and his combo arts(break topple launch...) only exception being buffers like fionna
@@bandi642you mean *underwhelming
Thank you so much for your guides. Your time , knowledge, and dedication is greatly appreciated. Awesome thumbnail.
ngl, I thought Enel would have made this guide last lol
Thanks for doing it early so we don't have to comment 'can't wait for Soulhacker' on every video.
Thank you for this. No info anywhere on this class so its good to finally see the hype.
Enel is a true man of the sea
Never even knew this was a class gotta get to the end of the game to get keep up the videos enel
I just got this class today. Thank you so much for the map part of the guide! This class is amazing! Rest In Peace my story progress. I’m going hunting!
Wow! Enel is EXTRA handsome for this amazing guide for this amazing game! Thank you for always teaching us you absolute unit!
Thanks Enel, great thumbnail too.
Legit insane guide lol Ty for this. I dunno if I wanna mess up with this class, seems to be a pain to optimise
Blue Mage archetype is my fave in RPGS. So glad this class exists in XC3.
Thanks a lot for the guide
Once again, Blue Mage haunts me in another game lmao
Also thank you for putting so much effort into this. Makes my life ALOT easier :)
Perfect timing on the guide! I just got the class today and was looking up the best builds. Thanks Enel!
Same for me can't wait to start getting all the arts and skills and then grinding the powered up version of said arts and skills
26:35 Just a small correction: Noah's Interlink can give power charge to the entire party with his Glorious Wing art
The fact you have the Captain of the Thames in the preview 💯✊🏼
Thanks i was Waiting for this one, Subscribed
Thank god! I was about to search for a Soulhacker guide and your video was in my UA-cam home hahah
Thanks for not having spoilers in the thumbnail!!! Legend!!
After three vids on the base 6 classes, I was expecting pone of those. But happy to see this class get a video so fast. Thank you for all of your work on this game, love your videos.
Trying to watch your content as I unlock it all in game. Thank you for making it as spoiler free as you can!
i don't even have this class yet but i'm gonna like this video because the Captain is on the thumbnail. We are MEN! OF! THE SEA!
How convenient that I see this video after literally just unlocking the Soul Hacker Class haha, this will be a very useful guide
Thank you for working so hard Enel these videos are amazingly helpful
Beast Howl may not be the best art for SH tanks (at least after you fill out the roster a bit) but you can't deny how hilarious it is to run. Just opening every fight with a big aoe AWOOOOOOO!
You cranked this out so fast. Thank you so much Enel. We really do appreciate all of your Xenoblade guides. Without you I'd be a fish out of water.
Can't believe ther's already a guide for this class. Kudos to ya
I'd also like to mention what a curveball it was to find that the Hero who's class name and concept screams edgelord turned out to be an ol Jolly Roger
Not watching this guide until post-game (or NG+ if that exists), but thanks for putting this together, it'll be a huge help!
Dang everyone talking about the soulhacker class and no one talking about Enel's sick thumbnail game
Really hope you do a Defender and Healer Soulhacker setup guide at some point. Your guides are awesome!
Sacrificial heal is a great meme. Make one of your dps soul hackers take reckless attack to half their hp, and then take sac heal and another damage skill, they will basically die to every part wide hit, but also fully heal the party, so you dont need to worry about people being out of range of your healers
That map guide is really good for finding any I’m missing later on
Didn't realize there was a class that needed a 1 hour guide compared to the ones you have done previously. I need to get further in this game so I can see all it has to offer. Just got to the forest
The class is insanely customizable but if youre just trying to get through the story I'd say just get it to lvl 10 on one character and keep its skill on them for all the optional bosses. It's very much an endgame class to mess around with
o fuck its finally time, thank you so much i was holding out on a UM grind for this
While the offensive set is great, I personally think Buffer Soulhacker is the best set, and really one of the best sets of any class in the game (skip to the bottom past the set for details). Those who are fully optimizing their teams for the land of challenge and such probably already know what it is and why it's so good, but for those who don't, here's the set:
Arts:
Dragon Decree+Snake Eyes
Battle Pheromone+Desperate Charge
Butterfly Dust+misc
Skills:
Large-Scale Shock
Strength Support
One with the Land/Breath of an Era
Gems:
Swelling Blessing X
Refined Blessing X
Soothing Breath X
Accessories:
Devotional Necklace
Gust Bracelet
Shield Belt
Buffer Soulhacker aims to give the party as many buffs as possible as quickly as possible, and reliably.
Thank you! I'l check it out when I unlock the class.
Comment to please the algo xD
I appreciate the quality of your content, you are the only one making content for both new players and post game players, most other videos that get suggested have 0 new information in them >.<
I appreciate trying to keep this short but I would have loved seeing the tank and healer version of this class, maybe you can revisit this when these builds are more attractive?
Cheers
Wow did not expect such a long guide, I haven't unlocked soul hacker yet so I had no idea what it was lol
man, a lot of these 'anti-group' skills feel like something they put in ahead of time meant to be used for challenge battles when those come out.
Thanks for another great guide, I have been looking forward to this one.
Don't forget poppi qt could also do that ive seen someone obliterate ofion
I most likely butcherd that name
@@eror404acountnotfound9 Ophion. I’ve seen people spell it worse lol.
And this goes right into watch later. Excited but it has to wait.
Insane to see this so early!
mmm, that is not the guide I was expecting next but now that I heard the premise of the weapon I am looking forward to it with careful enthusiasm. I enjoy the hunt for for unique monsters but this sounds like a lot of sub tasks for the upgrades.
That said I'll still be looking forward to the next base part weapon guides.
edit:
"I can't believe I'm saying dying is a viable strategy but here we are"
Fortify skill from Monster Hunter says hi. (not a meta skill but one of the highest boosting skills in the series when active)
me personally i just fought unique monsters on the way to completing actual story tasks, I didnt go back to defeat that many that were in earlier areas and by the end of the game i'd say i had a decent amount of options
My maxed out Soul Hacker is ready! Thank you
do this Setup with an Evasion/Tank Soulhacker and switch some Accessoires and Jewels for Aggro/Evasion Build. The Key is the Skill Underworld Rage, with this Skill, my Evasion Tank Mia does the same Damage as my Attackers and hold the aggro. Thanks a lot for your hard work Enel. If i look for Xenoblade Builds, your Chanel is the way to go.
thats a lotta fucking arts, i wasnt expecting this guide to come out this soon
Okay, so if you get Soulhacker as soon as possible, and are just looking for a quick build that works for him at lv50-ish, this would be my suggestions:
Arts:
- Double Bite (given by default);
- Dino Flash (Lv.47 Fineblade Faltaar, Swordmarch);
- Toxic Gas (Lv.42 Spectral Remy, Cadensia).
Master arts:
- Shark shock (Lv.49 Intrusive Neville, Cadensia);
- Battle Pheromone (Lv.50 Gracious Titania, Pentelas);
- Sumo Press (Lv.12 Indiscreet Gombaba, Aetia).
Skills:
There's not any great option, but a lot of decent options depending on what you need, I'd go for:
- Just a moment (Lv.14 Migratory Circe, Aetia) for sure, but other than that, some nice choices are:
- Reserve Life (Lv.48 Bushwhacker Farritt, Pentelas);
- Accelerator Organ (Lv.43 Night-Stalker Volodya, Fornis);
- Sacrificial Heal (Lv.40 Farseer Pirtett, Fornis);
- Either Supercharge (Lv.43 Determined Vatslav, part of the Keves Castle triads) or Defense time (Lv.19 Unruffled Narrah, Fornis);
- Systematic Defense (Lv.26 Sensitive Catullus, Aetia);
- Emergency Turbo (Lv.24 Repulsive Deepus, Aetia) or Dodge Acceleration (Lv.24 Gushing Masquin, Aetia).
Neck Slice from the 1st floor unique in Keves Castke is good
Thank you, Enel. I'm waiting for this
Best guide and the most needed guide :)
Woe, this is perfectly timed when I got him, which happens to right now
30:03 has anyone actually tried this art (Sumo press)? I tried it for the lols and in chain attack it deals an insane amount of damage. I was level 63 and was fighting a 64 UM, and with a multiplier of 788% that shit dealt 1.5M damage (which is a lot at level 63) killing the UM at 70% HP
Smash is just fundamentally busted in this game and can consistently dish out insane damage. I'm willing to believe your story wholeheartedly.
Oh trust me, depending on how you have the smash art fused with, you reach damage cap during chain attacks with the enemy hitting the ground, not the actual move damage, just the damage from the smash itself!. It's nuts and why I'd argue that it needs to be its own tier alongside signifier.
@@LordOShade That's just how Smash damage works. Many Keves classes can do it.
Devs: Remember how Poppi QTP was so broken that even the broken DLC Blades couldn't reach her? Well imagine 7 QTPs, but even more broken.
definitely not more broken lol
For reference, the final boss is level 75, just so you know for certain arts
so you're saying I shouldn't be level 99 in the middle of chapter 6 grinding cp?
I hit level cap in chapter 5 grinding CP. lol
@@Tetragramix what is cp stands for?
@@mr.leroysmith7012 class points
@@maro1139 ahh isee. so it's for leveling the class faster is that it? i thought it's stands for combat power like in any other mmorpg games lol
Soulhacker is not a Blue Mage class.
This is straight-up Mega Man.
soulhacker is good to use in game as well, i can easily get it back up to being powerful in just 1-2 hours of beating unique monster (of course assuming your team level is around 50-60).
@@kiant2911 cool, glad to help, and this will change over time as I beat more unique monsters
something really funny i found is for both soul hacker and martial artist, 2 class clothing options that i've seen make it so the gauntlets don't show and it's literally just a fist fight. the first being signifer and other being one of the healer post game class
From something i saw on bilibili, Noah on swordfighter when having all the buff from soul hacker and the attk up circle from medic gunner can hit damage cap with a smash/aerial slash fusion when it crits.
smash can hit cap pretty easily in this game, pretty broken mechanic rn lol
@@EnelXC i see, would love to see a breakdown on why that is if people ever figure it out xD, from what i have tried nothing else come even close to having the same scale of damage in a single hit outside of maybe 1500%+ chain attacks
This is Jack of all trades taken to perfection. It's extremely funny and the versatility is just nuts.
The blue mage that I want to continue investing into.
Every other class guide: about 20 minutes
Soul hacker: hour+
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I had no idea I had missed so many UMs for a ki k off. Great guide as always
oh wow, I didn't expect this class guide so early!
I am doing a MAN OF THE SEA check-in. Showing support for one another... I need six men of the sea to post, not share, this message to show you are always there if someone is stranded on the deep blue. Let's go gentlemen
Not gonna be watching this one yet for spoiler reasons but I know what this class is and I’m super excited to get it. Also holy smokes one hour?! Major props for this one Enel, that’s some commitment!
