Hard mode is a life saver in Xeno3. With overkill and bonus XP making you over leveled, Hard mode helps balance things out. Something Xeno 2 was missing
One thing you might want to look into regarding unlocking classes for the other main characters only requiring CP seems to be a bit false. While killing elite enemies 7 levels below me and rewarding roughly 70 CP, no gains were made to unlocking the class at all. Killing normal enemies the same level at me rewarded me with about 30 CP, which made a very noticeable increase to the silhouette filling. Enemies may be required to be 5 levels below you at maximum to anywhere above you to unlock classes.
Something I didn't see mentioned regarding efficient level-ups - in the postgame, after gaining the ability to decrease levels, you could have half your team at level 1 and the rest at max level to massively increase the CP gained by the level 1 characters. I've found it super useful for maxing out class levels in the postgame.
I really don’t get why they locked Levelling down behind Post Game when the entire point of the combat system if used as intended will leave you overlevelled
Currently level 54, main story quest has a recommended level of 27. Locking leveling down to postgame was a really stupid decision, they didn't do it for their last two games, there's no reason for it to be that way for this one.
This classes are so cool but I wish we could play as the heroes themselves. They have their own unique animations for there arts that sometimes look cooler. I get that they can't use master arts or interlink but it's still be cool to use them.
Thank you for making these guides without spoilers. I fear the heroes might be people we know later on. Also I guess we're both psycho because my alarm bells go off if I change a class before it's mastered, but I've had to in order to balance out my party and continue everyone progressing in something
i wasnt exactly sure on how powerful the combo of classes were going to be, but the 1 combo i found at just lvl 25 is guardian commanders falcon swoop as a super fast cast paired with glow ring to not deal with the long cast time for instant aggro grab, followed by imperial sword paired with wide slash which from what i can tell gives full evasion during the full length of imperial sword. I can only imagin what kind of combos and setups that are in this game, i even use a fast attacking art on a DPS class paired with buff to skip the loading animation of that.
Hey coming back to mention something. So the Amiibo system made something known to me, in that Class Points and Class Succession points are completely different things. so killing enemies may give you CP(god I hate that acronym) but unless they're super close to your level or above, they will NOT give you CSP and your silhouettes will not fill.
definitely fell into the bonus xp trap at the beginning, ended up being WAY overleveled by chapter 3 because i had been doing so much side content. Thank god I realised how much CP i was wasting because I'm back to being pretty appropriately leveled around the middle of chapter 4. Thanks for keeping these guides spoiler free, keep it up!

Hmm... No mention of the Scholar Necklace, farmable from Househunter Carly, a Unique Crabble early in the game. Not sure how effective it is on a D Rank class vs an S Rank, but it DOES improve CP gain effactively across the board. Farm six of these (you can only equip one each), and slap them on when learning a new class.
@@GamingFreakShow1991 And what chapter can that be accessed in? The one I mentioned can be accessed as early as Chapter 2, and makes a useful stopgap until then.

Good question. I know the last two Heroes (I was spoiled) can only be accessed post-game, and as such their classes can only have their Level Cap raised BEFORE NG+. As for Level Down, it makes sense for it to be unlocked in Post Game rather than NG+, but there is only one way to test that, and I am not that far in yet.

I would say that the best attacker choices would be Eunie, Taion, lanz and Noah because ending with their chain order attacks on a big multiplier at the end of a chain attack would probably net the most damage overall. Eunie probably the best with dual guns. Personally i am probably going to have a team build with Taion Seraph, Eunnie Warmedic, Noah Support and Mio Attacker as well but not sure how i want to set up my team anymore. So many choices its become fairly hard now. Still unlocking the classes on everyone too mainly machine assassin, Seraph, and the fan class. Might consider giving everyone the option to learn martial artist but don't know if thats actually worth it since the only valuable skill to me would be speeding up arts cooldown which you can already do with an art from dual fans class.

Can’t wait for the gem guide coming eventually. Coming up on the final fight and since I’m spiteful I like to overpower the final boss of each game just because I can but because no more equippable weapons I need gear, levels, and gems. Unfortunately the last one is something I’m struggling with because at most I have level 5 gems
All the video he has put out for xb3 so far I've really wanted to watch but I've been enjoying seeing stuff as I go through to much. So I'll just watch them all in a few weeks and find out I was playing the game wrong the whole tims
What it taught me was that I am not trying hard enough to level up these classes and need to grind harder. I went on this huge side quest spree around colony 30 and am now level 45 while the story wants me to be 20 lol.
A couple questions about the combat: When my arts recharge, how do you decide whether to use them immediately, wait for their conditions, or wait for fusion arts? And regarding fusion arts, can you tell me how much their effects interact? (Is it simply like using two arts at once, or do things like conditional damage and increased aggro carry over?) I'm spending 15-30 mins and multiple chain attacks on some bosses, and I don't know if I should be worried. (I've watched your earlier guides, and I like to play on hard difficulty.)
This game is easily my GOTY. The combat feels so *Satisfying.* The classes are all unique and interesting, and more importantly they’re all FUN, the music is phenomenal and my god pulling off a satisfying chain attack feels incredible. Not to mention the very intriguing plot (which I shan’t say more about for obvious reasons). I think it’s safe to say this game is easily the greatest title Monolithsoft has ever released, one which absolutely lives up to the hype, and I am very much looking forward to whatever comes next from them.
I'm so glad that they didn't remove the old combat from the first two games. They reworked it into this nice blend and it feels awesome, except for when my AI healers randomly stop focusing on healing. I think I know whats causing that though so its probs just me lol. Also, when you mentioned that one specific skill that boosts both accuracy and evasion, I immediately went "Aha, so Mythra IS in this game!"
@@ethanhancock462 What spoiler? Nothing that I said spoils ANY part of the game, and if I had, I'm sure someone would have said something about it 3 weeks ago when I posted the comment. I was talking purely about the combat, even the last sentence.
At 11:40 you mention putting Shadow Eye in the same slot as Resonant Flag, in order to pass the buff from Shadow Eye to your entire party - does this actually work, the way you've shown it set up in the example, with Signifer as the 'main class'? I was under the impression that when you use a Fusion Art the art on the right, the Class Art, would always trigger first, followed by the Hero Art on the left; wouldn't this mean you start by sharing your buffs, and THEN get the attack buff after?
"Don't feel like you need to max every class with every character." Me, a Monolith completionist since the Xenosaga days: I'm gonna be playing this game for 300+ hours, aren't I? I don't want to talk about Baten Kaitos.
A question about NG+ since every time I see it answered people are kinda vague. Do classes remain unlocked or do you have to unlock them again? In either case, do you have to level each class back up from zero, or do they stay at the class level they were before initiating the NG+? Thanks
Great job minimizing spoilers!! Hey, when you do start releasing class guides, why not start with the earliest classes first? I'd be really interested in seeing how Stalker or Full Metal Jaguar are used compared to the base class.
The mechanics might sound complex, but it is interesting. I can understand the mechanics well, but not so expert on it yet. So, I will take time to experiment on what's the best that suit each of the characters. I would rather spending time on this kind of things than looking for NPC and quest area because of the confusing navigation system like in Xenoblade 2 hahaha

and thank you for the spoiler box, way better than most of the internet.
now im gonna get back to chapter 4....oi vey this game is huge and i love it
I have been watching your videos from France for a few years.,.
Although, you speak fast for my level of English, I find that these are the best, the most complete and the most technical
Enel called me insane, I'll take that as a compliment
This game is so indepth. It's hard to really concentrate on it unless I have a solid few hours to do so lol. Between work, wife, kids, summer hobbies, etc it makes this game so damn difficult! However, I love it. You have great helper vids Enel! Helps a noob as myself tremendously
Really like XC3 so far, great content
This is a meaty game for sure. Just the way Lanz likes it.
Thank you for the guide! And thanks for the spoiler prevention!
Mastering a class for the arts and skills: I sleep
Mastering a class for the drip: *REAL SHIT*
Thanks for the guide always. I can't wait to know what are the best classes and how to build them up
Great video enel finally picked up the game its so great enjoying the game so far keep up the guides
All the video he has put out for xb3 so far I've really wanted to watch but I've been enjoying seeing stuff as I go through to much. So I'll just watch them all in a few weeks and find out I was playing the game wrong the whole tims
I could watch videos about this game for hours
I am but a simple man, I see a new Enel guide I click
What it taught me was that I am not trying hard enough to level up these classes and need to grind harder. I went on this huge side quest spree around colony 30 and am now level 45 while the story wants me to be 20 lol.
The most important information I received from this video:
You don't stop moving once you land from a jump.
That make a lot sense on the rank.
I was confused how to unlock the class for each character.
I think it’s safe to say this game is easily the greatest title Monolithsoft has ever released, one which absolutely lives up to the hype, and I am very much looking forward to whatever comes next from them.
loving the content dad
I'm so glad that they didn't remove the old combat from the first two games. They reworked it into this nice blend and it feels awesome, except for when my AI healers randomly stop focusing on healing. I think I know whats causing that though so its probs just me lol. Also, when you mentioned that one specific skill that boosts both accuracy and evasion, I immediately went "Aha, so Mythra IS in this game!"
Dude thanks for the spoilers what the fuck
@@ethanhancock462 What spoiler? Nothing that I said spoils ANY part of the game, and if I had, I'm sure someone would have said something about it 3 weeks ago when I posted the comment. I was talking purely about the combat, even the last sentence.
The best thing this game does is it changes your Gems automatically if you Switch Classes. You only have to make your Class Setup once
Only problem is those gems aren't often the best choices
At 11:40 you mention putting Shadow Eye in the same slot as Resonant Flag, in order to pass the buff from Shadow Eye to your entire party - does this actually work, the way you've shown it set up in the example, with Signifer as the 'main class'? I was under the impression that when you use a Fusion Art the art on the right, the Class Art, would always trigger first, followed by the Hero Art on the left; wouldn't this mean you start by sharing your buffs, and THEN get the attack buff after?
More Fire Guides let’s goooooo!
"Don't feel like you need to max every class with every character."
Me, a Monolith completionist since the Xenosaga days:
I'm gonna be playing this game for 300+ hours, aren't I?
I don't want to talk about Baten Kaitos.
I'd love to see a good party composition guide! I always run 2 of each role and I'm wondering if that's actually optimal
Nice guide. I can’t wait to hear which character is good for which type of class. So far I was just thinking that the difference is minuscule.
So gaining CP is how you learn new classes? All I needed to know!
A question about NG+ since every time I see it answered people are kinda vague. Do classes remain unlocked or do you have to unlock them again? In either case, do you have to level each class back up from zero, or do they stay at the class level they were before initiating the NG+? Thanks
I haven't actually played NG+ because I heard there's no real point to it this time around.
Awesome stuff! So do we know how deep the end game is? I hope they added a crap ton of super bosses or other quests and stuff to do
I love you, thank you for your services
Great job minimizing spoilers!! Hey, when you do start releasing class guides, why not start with the earliest classes first? I'd be really interested in seeing how Stalker or Full Metal Jaguar are used compared to the base class.
Mom wake up Enel made another awesome vid
Doing the lord's work
a note on silver coins, they also seem to be farmable with amiibo. I've consistently gotten one a day from a random (non shulk) amiibo.
