Having had to farm lots of Onslaught for all the weapon reviews I’ve been doing, I have of course been trying to optimize it as much as possible, and I think it’s finally time I made an updated guide on how I’m doing this. As you can see in the thumbnail, our best time is around 47 minutes, which by your average LFG standard is lightning speed. This strategy employs the use of one Cenotaph Mask Warlock and two Orpheus Rig Hunters swapping between Star-Eater Scales to quickly regenerate their supers. The Deadfall Tethers are used to spawn-trap every single ad wave as well as Suppressing and slowing them which essentially removes any threat posed. Truly though, Xenophage is the star of the show as it’s such an ad clear monster especially this week due to the active Machine Gun Overcharge which lets it absolutely chew through ads. You’ll never run out of ammo either, since your Warlock teammate is constantly keeping you stocked up with Cenotaph! Anyways, enjoy the breakdown!

@@Juan-GC yeah. Because with these mods u get 16 ammo on a normal brick and 11 from finders and the max reserves of the gun is 34. U not supposed to get full reserve with 2 bricks

xeno usage, we so back
I tried xeno, but still prefer supremacy/mountaintop as kinetic with indebted kindness and gally. You can pretty much use gally as your primary weapon and if not the rocket sidearm does enough damage to kill anything tethered in 1-2 shots
@@sQuaTsiFieDeyes of tomorrow is good too but it sucks for overload champs as it takes to long to shoot. Typically i use a gally with succession because succesion gets tormenters crits very easy plus 25% damage increase this week.

For my orpheus rig build I like running buried bloodline for infinite void procs and feeding back into the build
If you have 4 pieces of seasonal armour + the seasonal mod that increases super energy for each piece should guarantee you a super each round for the void hunter
it's actually pretty easy for solo orpheus hunter to gewt your tether back before your tether has ended if you know how to play it
Just did my first legend wave 50 today, we had a wellock with phoenix protocol and me using tether, our third unironically ran sweet business with actium on strand Titan, had more kills than me or the warlock lmfao, better score too.

@@LlamaD2 does Buried Bloodline have the ammo finder bug Indebted Kindness does? per Destiny Data Compendium, rocket-assisted sidearms count as primaries for the purposes of ammo finders (meaning they progress the counter much faster than other specials), but I don't know if that counts Buried Bloodline because I don't have one yet and can't try it. Thought you might know!

Hey Llama, thanks for the guide, was wondering if you could suggest which of these 3 loadouts I should use because I don't own the season pass and dont have indebted kindness on warlock:
Incisor, forbearance
Tusk of the boar, divinity
Tusk of the boar, retraced path with shoot to loot
Or some other replacement for indebted kindness - it's so strong but I just dont have it avaliable to me
'Spose you also can't get Buried Bloodline, then. You could try an energy trace (probably STL Retraced Path) and Forerunner, swap to sniper+div for tormentors still.

Tried to do this today. I couldn't find a ceno warlock and a hunter, so I ran warlock and found 2 hunters. We couldn't get past 30. Tormentor got us. We led him away, but the rest of the ads got the ADU. Interestingly, 1 of the hunters had 400+ kills, the ohter one, had about the same as me the warlock who was just marking targets. Since they both had the emblem, it was my fault we lost.
One note, the hunters need to identify a yellow bar and not immediately shoot it until they see it tagged.
BTW, Eyes of Tomorrow kicks Apex's ass. It does great burst damage in a pinch and can take down an entire wave of ads on its own.

If you don’t have it you’re better off running a Retraced Path with STL then supremacy in your top slot

1. the void hunter build i use gets a super per wave of adds now i may try swapping in star eaters with my void build just to get it back faster (maybe) but u dont need a whole other build just for getting your super
2. for the love of all that's holy guardian plz use d2 armor picker to optimise your build i'm having a aneurism from your stats yes i see the dim links but looking at the stats i'm just like theres no way

How well does that Tormentor strat scale? The clip you showed was wave 9, not wave 49, but only one person was shooting anyway
It scales very well! As long as the Div is on it's pretty free
What did you find the most consistent dmg for final boss on 50.
We did rockets then when we were out we had both hunters swap to lucky pants wardens law and I (the warlock) swapped to div to make it easier for them

Warlock - Eyes of Tomorrow is the AMAZING. You could kill every ad yourself and have hunters tether. Unlimited ammo with 4+ kills. Harder to use on Midtown and you need be in communication with those you are running with. Try it for boss damage. Go Battle of Harmony and Eyes and you're cooking.
We did a run yesterday we tried 3 hunter orpheus rig and it was super easy and we had unlimited supers

That hunter swapout built is totaly crazy and shouldnt be legal at all loll this is the real most op built for relax onslaught and be able to carry anythin no stress you can go with any good meta weapons of your choice and it will do it.
The actual meta is swaping and invis hunter do it eealy good . This is my #1 onslaugh built by far

It's possibly the strongest Lucky Pants DPS option on long boss phases (this was true prior to Nighthawk's buff, not sure about this season--Whisper of Impetus shuriken reloads are great). I've never been quite sure how to make it work for something like a solo dungeon compared to solar or void, though. Stasis has some interesting defensive applications here, but IME it's still ideal to go for the hefty add clear available from other subclasses (across all three classes). What actually ends up happening when people play Stasis is blueberries putting stasis crystals in my sightline preventing me from killing the wave I was about to kill, making the whole thing take longer than if they just shot their guns.
In general, that's the biggest issue with Stasis: why go to all these lengths to CC enemies and create crystal walls when you could just kill everything on every other subclass? It has a couple useful PVE things (Bleak Watcher on Warlock and Coldsnaps, which are both ways to threaten enemies without leaving cover, which is nice for GMs), but Stasis crystals are actively a problem in team play, and while slow is also pretty useful sometimes, I could just equip Riptide if I need that. At least Frost Armor will help with the survivability side (we don't actually know what it does yet, but that's in the name anyway), but it needs more offensive kick, too. Maybe, like, a DOT on slow, idk, or buffs to shatter.
Mostly I'm just annoyed about crystals specifically, though. Dunno what to do about 'em, but they're frustrating.

After the intense mission to secure the mysterious Cabal artifact, Shin and Kara decided to take a brief respite away from the command centers and training grounds. They needed a moment to unwind and reflect, away from the constant pressure of their responsibilities. Shin suggested visiting an old haunt-a dive bar hidden within the shadowy recesses of the City's more forgotten quarters, known among the older Guardians as "The Last Dive Bar at the End of the World."
The bar was an anachronism, a place that seemed to belong to a different era, with its dim lighting, antique wooden furniture, and a jukebox that still played vinyl records. It was a favorite spot for those who wished to disappear from the world, if only for a few hours.
As they entered, the smell of aged wood and spilt liquor welcomed them like an old friend. The bartender, a grizzled ex-Guardian who had traded his rifle for mixology tools, nodded at them knowingly. "The usual, Shin?" he asked, reaching for a bottle of the bar's strongest.
"Make it two," Shin replied, gesturing to Kara. They took their drinks to a secluded booth, the kind with high backs that offered some semblance of privacy.
Kara sighed deeply as she sank into the booth. "I haven't been here in ages. I forgot how much I missed it," she said, taking a sip of her drink.
Shin nodded, his eyes scanning the bar's eclectic collection of memorabilia from bygone battles and fallen heroes. "It's one of the few places left where we can just be... us, not just Commanders or Guardians."
Their conversation drifted from light-hearted banter about past misadventures to more serious topics. Shin broached the subject of the artifact they had recovered. "It's unlike anything we've encountered before. The energy it emits-it's powerful but dark. Troubling."
Kara's expression turned thoughtful. "Do you ever wonder if we're playing with fire here? Delving into powers that we barely understand?"
"It's a risk," Shin admitted, "but one we have to manage. If we don't understand these powers, the Cabal certainly will. We need to stay one step ahead, even if it means venturing into the dark."
The conversation paused as the bartender brought over another round of drinks, his eyes hinting at an understanding of the burdens they carried. As he left, Kara leaned back, her gaze lost in the flickering light of a candle on their table.
"Sometimes, I think about what we're fighting for. The City, humanity-it all seems so fragile, like it could all fall apart under the weight of what's out there."
Shin reached across the table, his hand briefly covering hers. "That's why we fight, isn't it? Because it's fragile. Because if we don't, no one else will."
They spent the next few hours in the bar, allowing themselves to be just two old friends sharing memories and fears. When they finally left, the weight of their roles awaited them, but the brief escape had rekindled their resolve.
As they walked back to the command center, the City's skyline silhouetted against the night sky, Shin felt a renewed sense of purpose. Whatever challenges awaited them with the artifact and the dark powers it harbored, they would face them together, strengthened by their shared resolve to protect what they held dear. The Last Dive Bar at the End of the World was a reminder of the world they fought to save, a world of small comforts and quiet moments amid the chaos.

Craft a Raconteur if you need a STL weapon that also stuns unstoppables this season. Yeah it's less convenient because bow, but it's an option.

Can I use ammo finders too? Or should I use siphons?
You can if you want but because you're using Xeno/special weapons for ad clear most of the time you won't really be benefitting from finders, me personally I prefer siphons.
I raise you Eyes of Tomorrow over Xeno. You don’t even lose ammo since you’re guaranteed at least 6 defeats with a tether.

yeah, if that's happening to you that means that you have abilities, aspects, or fragments that are changing between those two builds.
How do you minimize ammo loss when swapping weapons? Is it tied to staying with the same element or weapon type or both?
Swapping from special to special loses you barely any ammo, usually it's just 1 or 2 shots. It has nothing to do with weapon type or energy, as long as they are both special you can freely swap between them with minimal ammo loss, though if you swap from primary to special you lose all ammo.

Yes, assuming you mean armor mod surges on boots, if you mean something like Solar Ovecharge and Lmg overcharge then no those don't stack it'll be 25% even if you match both

Titan is borderline throwing in LFGS. If you play with randoms and don’t have a well or orpheus rig hunter it will be so bad in LFG. Not saying it’s impossible but in LFG the chances are very low.

Are people seriously struggling with onslaught? In midtown every wave is over with 1 tether. Everyone is acting like a new light at the moment acting like we haven't known what is good for ad dense encounters for a decade now.
Believe it or not new lights exist.
Beyond that, the thing about legend onslaught is it's very punishing. While it's pretty easy to down any given wave, playing it perfectly for an hour straight is a struggle for some people, and as soon as one person drops it gets much scarier until you can stabilize. Take it from someone who got the emblem day 1 on a pretty off-meta setup, it does not take much to throw a run.
Algorithm
“Just run these builds” it’s basically RNG. If you get bad waves at the wrong time it’s over.
Skill issue
every 3 rounds is an augmentation/modifier
if you want fast well or deadfall use 3 harmonic or 3 same color siphons, 2.5 vs 3.25 vs 4.4% super, dynamo 5% is useless on rift, 2.5% hunter only marksman dodge every 17s with 100 mobility, ashes to ashes is useless cos low tier enemies give 1% vs 1 siphon 2.5%, reaper and firepower 0.8% super orbs, dont use reaper on class, you need kill in 10s where distribution will give you 4% to all 3 abilities, 2% super where reaper orb is just 0.8% super. mixed with bomber 12% you get 16% grenade
Sorry not sorry but this “strat” is entirely too specific for the average player. Just bring a well lock tether hunter and a flex third with an add clear super and you’ll be fine. Upgrade a decoy to shaxx for the tormentors and kite him away if he breaks the shaxx. Rockets or edge transit in the boss room and you’ll be fine. No need for all this intricacies. I cleared this crap in LFG no coms. It ain’t that serious.

@@LlamaD2 lemme rephrase dat, it's not great against tormentors unless you use a quick swap method to deal with em, since tormentors are arguably the most dangerous if not easily the second most dangerous thing to deal with in onslaught that's a major deal. The issue is the average lfger does not posses the mental capacity to comprehend what a quick swap is, so they are just gonna thud into the tormentor wit the equivalent of a frozen pea gun and get me wiped. Professional video gamers need to grasp the disaparity between them and the goobers that come home from work and play for like two hours solo and go to bed

bro this build is fucked up, first you dont use any solar weapons so no use for radiant fragment, and longest worst solar grenade will not keep that radiant, better use mercy for grenade + restoration from firesprites, resolve solar grenades cure you, searing for melee recovery and creating firesprites for mercy, singeing to recover class

just watched above video about indebted and forgot about origin specialization 1, hold on hold on, wait a minute everybody use on solar zaouli, i use trust 180rpm with stat4all scorch. but hey epochal is solar 140, has stat4all, has scorch, and has tracer rockets origin. free 25% damage boost(plus rocket damage). and wait wait optative has nano-munitions, instead of crota, smallbore, flared, range mw, enhanced demo, enchanced tricorn. in altars to redbars headshot 14k, origin specialization 1 and we jump to 17k, now weapon kill gives us 7s 15% damage, but when you do ability kill, 10s 50% and also grenade kill you can use to have volatile, bam 22k headshot to redbar on moon, i use major for shielded yellowbar shanks in onslaught. so now you have arc sidearm, solar handcannon and void handcannon, also remember to use 1 reloader, they dont give much 10+ reload but reloaders also give you 0.85 reload animation

above forgot that overcharge we already have from sidearm antibarrier, handcannon unstoppable so origin perk is useless
