- The true power of mountaintop comes from auto loading holster. Mountaintop is basically a mini rocket launcher so you can pair it with apex predator for an interesting rotation. Your rocket just needs reconstruction and you’ll never have to reload either of your weapons.

@@svn5994if I recall Correctly tribute hall just had a spawned for different ads not something like simulating a specific dps phase like oryx or Kalli where you have certain time limitations, crit size differences, and crit multiplier differences, also range from target differences

Late but with specifically MT+sunshot, you can fire MT and then exactly 6 sunshots which is enough to reload MT. Reload+powered melee/anything else is also enough for MT

My personal favorite is an auto loading vorpal mountain top + auto loading bait and switch edge transit

If you want the burst dps to be even higher, fire a rocket first. The way shown makes it so the first rocket of your two rocket volley is not buffed by B&S.
By firing a rocket first, then MT and your other weapon, you can proc B&S then fire two buffed rockets because reconstruction will have reloaded to 2 by the time you get back to it.

Yes this also works with Sniper Rifles as well - as long as the sniper has auto loading holster. This is exactly what i have been doing, thing is you waste some of the bait and switch timer, so you gotta do it fast

I just use mountaintop as a TF2 rocket, it's just so easy to get through things when you are 500m into the air
I actually love enhanced overflow on mountain top because you get 3 shots in the mag per ammo pick up so in some situations i can fire off like 6+ shots without reloading as long as i stand near a pile of ammo from clearing ads previously
My damage loop currently is an auto mountain top and then a auto loading wilderflight then bait and switch cataract or edge transit it’s boon so much fun especially with ability builds where I don’t often use weapons to begin with
I have pretty much the same thing lol. If I’m using apex I just reload my MTop and fire another one while I wait for apex to finish. Lunas makes the reload super fast so I’m not rly wasting much time
I do basically the same thing. I go Mountaintop, primary, reco/bait and switch. Mountaintop again. But for bosses I swap to Polaris lance.

Is also works with kinetic holster and does the same thing as auto loading holster but without the downfall of having a auto loading holster perk so you can have any other perk tied in with the mountaintop and it still works beautifully and I do believe that the perk stack on your legs so go crazy out there guardians into the pale heart and take out the witness with rockets

Yes but dont ever think shooting your primary during damage is good.
Use this rotation with GLs especially bait envious edge transit. You’re better off reloading mountain top and shooting again or reloading the rocket than shooting a primary.

Swap mountaintop for witherhoard and you keep the auto loading plus the bonus DoT while keeping the same dps rotation. My mountaintop rolled with auto loading and vorpal so I'm all set lol
Got an auto loading/Vorpal, it shreds.
I have an Overflow with 3 shots in the tube so I literally never reload because there’s always ammo for me to overflow my tube.
Weird, you didn't have a team member step in front of you when you shot your load.

I got some Rocket Launcher with Reconstruction + Clown cartridge.
Constant 3 round rocket launcher
Run a holster mod for your primary so you always have at least 1 shot for bait and switch
constantly swapping cancels bait and decreases dmg so have solar loaders or an ability to reload rocket for better dps
So this is why bait n switch is so good

This is the exact loadout I’ve been using recently and it’s just so good
You can also use fighting lion with em for even more grenade damage
the problem with this is that using impulse amplifier massively increases the damage of mountaintop, which means you lose out on some damage. Also, I'd rather reload mountaintop to keep shooting with mountaintop, rather than a primary ammo gun.

Better rotation for higher dps, Impulse and Frenzy MT. Shoot two rockets, switch to Mt, get 3-4 shots, shoot two rockets again, continue.
Mountaintop with Sunshoot and the god roll Edge Transit = got tier dps ^^
Withhoard and red herring
This would be fine if Izzy wasn’t in the same slot or if there were a better (long range) burst dps option in the energy slot
Izzy is good for people who can aim for crits and mastered reload swapping for maximum DPS.
Otherwise go for this for consistency and ease of use. Plus freeing up an exotic energy slot is nice.

@WDB662 For an apex swap? Def izi, its still the king of rotations. Izi, GL, Apex is my bread and butter for most boss fights. Does great damage on every class.

Swapping for additional ammo before hitting a flag and hot swapping exotics should be dealt with. Having to min/max your armor and commit should be the normal.
Either Bungie is going to need to increase difficulty to deal with the fact people can have multiple exotics per encounter, or they need to make people lose all abilities or ammo when swapping exotics or weapons

This is why I always have auto loading holster on my grenade launchers and rocket launcher with at minimum reconstruction and those who didn't understand called me crazy

@@nimrodszocs2795 With mountain top specifically, because it relies on impact dmg so much, implosion rounds does give you more dps. Fallout made a whole video on this if you're interested.

you change rotation a bit and load first rocket and by the time you will have 2 rockets loaded

@@eyeONE_Official oh, you got it wrong, probably my mistake. meant MT>primary>double rocket>load rocket and skip rest of animation>MT>primary>double rocket. For newer player it's easier to not mess the timing of auto load and not switch too early, this the timing is almost perfectly lines up

Gotten over 200+ rolls and not a single alh roll. I'm going to sue bungie at some point.
Still not as bad as 100+ games of Iron Banner +80 engram redeems and not a single Tusk of the Boar. My RNG is so bad.

@@SlightZoot Now imagine this. I've been playing for 7 years and have over 400 total raid clears with a minimum of 10 on each, and I STILL have yet to get a single raid exotic that requires RNG. I have Necro and Divinity, but those don't count. 1K, Malice, Conditional, Vex, etc. None have dropped for me. I legit think I'm one of the unluckiest players. And I have over 5600 hours into the game. Either my profile is rigged and Bungie hates me, or it really is just terrible luck.
I know 400 raid clears is not a lot compared to a lot of people, but that's because I gave up farming raids. There's no point in me trying.

While that is true, I absolutely despise the feel of any fusion rifle cause of the charge up (that includes bows) and mt has no drop off and is the highest damage gl so I can just swap to and from my entire build

terrible rotation. just stay on the apex. with enhanced reconstruction it will load a rocket during the reload animation so you’ll get both rockets back as long as you aren’t using anything to increase reload speed. staying on your rocket will get you way more damage way faster than swapping back and forth. if somebody uses lunafactions then you are better off running a supremacy or izanagis burden. if you can’t hit a crit spot, use a scatter signal or riptide. if the boss is too far and you can’t hit them with a fusion then use a malfeasance or witherhoard. the mountaintop is good but it’s not going to replace any current weapons

Yes those are better damage, however this is also a nice option for if u need to run an exotic primary like sunshot for heavier ad clear like in Nez Sublime for example.
Eh exotic primary’s not only hit harder but also generate more special and heavy and pairing it with 2 high dps specials makes this one of the easier setups to get and produce with

It absolutely does. I have autoloading frenzy with spike nades, and code duello w auto loading and lasting impression.
Probably the best GM loadout I've had in years. Add in gunpowder gamble, and calibans hand, and ticuus divination and the entire battlefield is ready to explode. Taste my fireworks.

I noticed this when in a warlords run last night. Ended up to 7.5 mil damage. My teammates got 2 mil each. Should also mention im star eaters blade barrage so that helped
No, it’s recombination that’s the literal best perk you can get on mountaintop. AL holster is a close 2nd tho

Depends on the situation. For general use overflow has potential (but) in a dps rotation overflow works 1 time only while autoloading keeps viability over the course of damage

@Kwtssn 10x recombo shot is usually better still, unless its a really long Dps phase, or you're out off heavy. Something like Nez dps, recombo is better

@@Kwtssnits better than vorpal for anything less than 10 shots and anything less than 7 for frenzy - thats only if frenzy is active from the start. they will also get enhanced making the requirements much less
I am still hoping to get this. It's the last Brave Weapon roll I am hunting. So far I only got overflow and impulse amplifier with recombination which already is strong, but inefficient
