Les Claypool is the finest player of the bass since the invention of the device. It's amazing how it's taken 35 years for people to finally appreciate this mans talent. I remember seeing him at the Gilman in Berkley in 1990 and having to pick my face up off the floor after...
Adoro i Primus , Les claypool è un bassista incredibile ma tutto il gruppo suona alla grande. Grazie per questa reazione Inna❤, ti consiglio anche jerry was a race car driver
Les Claypool (vocals & bass) is one of the best bassists in the world... His band Primus is one of the few bands where the bass is the lead instrument. Do check out more Primus - 'Over the falls'... 'Lacquer head' ... 'Mr. Krinkle' ... 'DMV'... 'American life'...
I've been playing bass since I was a teenager in the late 90's, and I swear I've never even met anyone who can play this song correctly. I can play the little solo/interlude just fine, but I'm pretty sure only Les himself knows what the Hell he's doing for the rest of it.
I don't give a damn about how fast Les can go, or how precise he can be. Imo he is great because he summons the groove of guys like Larry Graham and Bootsy Collins.
The bassist is the man the myth, the legend, Les Claypool! He’s also the lead singer of Primus as well! One of my absolute favorites and he’s wicked talented! I’m not if you’ve reacted to any other songs but “My Name is Mud” and “Jerry was a Racecar Driver” are both really great.
Les Claypool, I feel, is passed over when you ask the "general public" about great alternative metal, rock, bassists or how ever you classify this type of music, I feel he gets overlooked. To me, he's another one of my "hero's". Great musicianship all around with humor
The voice of Tommy The Cat in this cut of the song is Tom Waits, another amazing artist worth listening to. I suggest "Going Out West" or "Hold On" by him
@@vintageswiss9096 The story I heard in an interview with Les Claypool, he was recording at the studio at said something about "I'd love to get someone like Tom Waits to do the voice of Tommy The Cat" and the studio producer said "Well, let's call him up" And Les got home to an answering machine message from Tom Waits about the collaboration.
Suggerisco anche Wynona big brown beaver sempre dei Primus, bel pezzo con un video spettacolare😂 Altrimenti "to defy the laws of tradition" Buon ascolto
Les Claypool a day, keeps the doctor away. I listen to at least one song from "Sailing the Seas of Cheese" every day. One of my favorite bands ad this exact song was my introduction to it, from the "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey" soundtrack. Which couple with "Flash Gordon" and "Last Action Hero" soundtracks make up my top 3.
Shake Hands with Beef is so groovy. There is nobody like Primus. BTW You may see a lot of 'Primus Sucks', that's an inside joke with fans, it means 'Primus Rules'
You've just experienced the finest bass player you will ever see.😂😂👏👏👍👍
Upvoting. Best bassist ever
Victor Wooten is that
if you have ever watched South Park, you"ve heard Primus. They did the theme song.

Primus and rush are the best trios of all time
Hi Inna, besides Jerry was a Race car driver, look at My name is mud. Have a good day beautiful. 🙂
♥ Primus
Mr Krinkle
Hell yeah
There is no this “type of music”. Primus is its own thing.
Les claypool is genius!

Plus he sings…

Primus sucketh👊🏽⚡️This song live is on a crazy ass level🫡
Even the doggo had to check out Tommy The Cat.

He was literally down the hall when they needed a sub at the studio and they dragged him in to do it, lol 😂

The band where the lead section is the rhythm section and the lead guitar is the rhythm.
Primus Sucks! 😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Then you would ❤ "Jon the Fisherman" and "Shake Hands with Beef"😎🎶🎸🤙
Good pick. Their best song.
Suggerisco anche Wynona big brown beaver sempre dei Primus, bel pezzo con un video spettacolare😂

Buon ascolto
Yea, so the bassist (Les claypool) is also singing to add extra to the bass line

Tommy the Cat is played/voiced by the legendary Tom Waits
Fun fact this is the song Primus is playing on stage in the movie Airheads, when Chris Farley is searching for Brendan Fraser girl friend
And they cameo with this song at the end of Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey.
From where I live...Hella East Bay Area!
U should check out Barnacles from a local swiss band called Primate Anthem… you probably gonna like it haha
❤🎶 👏👏👏
😂
If you like songs about cats check out The Cure "LOVE CATS." 🤞✌️
You could go back to their beginning with "John the Fisherman" ...
This song did not exist until right after my cat died.
Try the live bonnaroo version!
Claypool is a bass Beast.
Rush influence
Les Claypool is my favorite bassist ever 🙏🙏
Edit: & for those who know, PRIMUS SUCKS
Please react to "Over the Electric Grapevine" also by Primus
Tim Alexander on drums just left the band.
... again
Shake Hands with Beef is so groovy. There is nobody like Primus.
BTW You may see a lot of 'Primus Sucks', that's an inside joke with fans, it means 'Primus Rules'
Primus sucks so much 😂
Trovati una donna! 😂
