What other franchises would you like us to rank from worst to best? How far down the list do you expect LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga to be when it comes out and dates this video horribly? Should EA stop making Star Wars games now that there's a nice round hundred? We want to hear all your thoughts!
I asked for jedi outcast one Christmas and got KOTOR. not knowing what I had, I was disappointed. tried to play it once, got frustrated by what I thought were clunky controls (because turn based combat) and didn't touch it for several years... decided to give it another shot one day, realized my mistake and never looked back. amazing game. still play it every now and again.
I'm kind of disappointed that you never mentioned the fighting game aspect of Episode 3 on Xbox/PS2. It was the only reason I played it. They could've just made that a game in itself. Also, the OG Battlefront 2 should have been higher on this list. At least in the top 10. Other than that though, it was a great video and I enjoyed watching it.
Kudos for putting Rebellion as high as you did on the list! In my opinion one of the most underrated Star Wars games out there. Even as a child I had a deep appreciation for how complex the strategy portion was. Nothing super controversial from my perspective on the games I played either. KOTOR well deserves #1.
I kept waiting for it and waiting for it and was happy it was so high. I spent so much time with Rebellion as a kid with it on cd, plus I think another 100 hours with the Steam release.
Yep agreed, Rebellion is really good. A game which combined the best parts of Rebellion and Empire at War is what I've always wanted. EAW improved a heap in terms of the battle/combat side of things but the galactic overview part didn't have anywhere near the scale and micromanagement that Rebellion's did.
I don’t know if it’s the best but Jedi Knight Jedi Outcast is probably the SW game I have the fondest memories of. Really filled that Jedi fantasy back then and putting g_saberrealistic combat into the console cranked up the dismemberment value made it that much more awesome. Was also the first time I got into modding of a sort. Custom maps for the multiplayer were really popular in that game.
It's the best. Even the demo is great, arguably better than any of the levels in the main game. And even though Jedi Survivor is a parry simulator I'd have to put it on 2nd, right above KotOR. The combat in KotOR is just way too trash but the story is almost as engaging as in Jedi Outcast.
Battlefront II (2017) got much more than a little update. The game now is fantastic and worthy of the name for sure. All characters are unlocked, and tons of modes, maps, and even a campaign chapter were added for free. Fantastic video, but you did my boy dirty, lol :)
More of a multiplayer game than a singeplayer game people only touch the story mode once or twice than they play arcade or multiplayer so yes they should rank it how it is now since thats where most of the content is
@Cyberpunks Witcher It's absolutely how it should work. The antiquated idea of how games are at launch vs. how they evolve was left behind a generation ago.
I want jurassic park mario tomb raider Harry Potter zelda guitar hero/rock band aliens series the predator series they all have so many games that could be ranked.
I absolutely adored the GBA Revenge of the sith Game. I’m very happy it actually made it to the top 20, it looked great and the gameplay was buttery smooth and epic
Here to see how high my boy Jedi Academy is. Edit: Number 6 baby. It will always be number 1 in my heart though. I still play the multiplayer to this day.
Campaign was merely alright. MP was definitely where it was at with JKA. Not to say that Outcast didn't start this epic train in the first place, but JKA's multiplayer made it mostly redundant. Our clan still hops on and plays it sometimes to this day. I will say this though. Jedi Outcast's and Jedi Academy's guns feel pathetic, especially compared to Dark Forces II's. I daresay that if you're using anything except the saber, rocket launcher, or maybe the sniper, you're wasting your time.
@@arnox4554 absolutely agree, we went back to outcast however and didn't stay on academy's online, I preferred the CTF scene on outcast. Definitely the weapons on jk were far more effective than the following two games, it was closer to quake 2 than the follow ups were to quake 3
You missed something incredibly important on the revenge of the sith tie in game. Its the single best star wars fighting game. The multiplayer (can be played against bots) fighting mode is amazing.
When they said "stuck in rooms and corridors" im like "yeah, that's kinda how buildings work" I'm so sick of forests and deserts, i can see that shxt in real life. This is Star Wars! Show me some SciFi shxt
EA battlefront 2 really changed with updates , the game launched as a cash grab , and became a great game with a lot of content and a strong community. It’s a real shame that EA moved all the devs to 2042.
I pretty much agree with this list, but for me Battlefront 2 Classic is the definitive star wars experience. It has lightsaber and force power action, memorable ground skirmishes and epic space battles and to top it all, Galactic Conquest. The game is still very much alive with online servers and insanely good modding community.
Yes but it was missing one thing that was important, a grand story set in the Star Wars Universe :) Battlefront 2 Classic is decently number 2 for me after KOTOR.
Good list! Was happy to see that you put Rebellion/Supremacy so high, it deserves it. It may look simple but there's so much detail and scale in that game.
I’m just wondering because I’ve played both and the Wii game is just not good and I’m not saying the force unleashed is perfect but it’s at the very least better then that Wii game
@@alexbattams6068 in my opinion, this might be because it wasn't as competitive as the other action adventure RPGs. I think games like God Of War and TloZ: Twilight Princess are more fleshed out as far as combat and environment are concerned. Plus, Starkiller is a bit of a male Mary Sue: he gets SO powerful SO fast in an universe where even Sidious, the most powerful Force user of the universe, had to train DECADES to master a single technique. Still, game was a lot of fun and I loved using the full extent of the Dark Side. I would've ranked it a bit higher too.
@@shaymorcormick8743 actually this is the most accurate comment about force unleashed I remember thinking holy shit this game is incredible to never pick it up for like 8 years tried it again and I was like ehh
,Yes I agree played it on 360 and the DLC playing as Luke was fantastic too, also you got to play as Darth Vader easily the best of the 3rd person 3d action games including fallen order which is a badly optimised mess on PC.
Really impressive edit. The storytelling and engagement of the Katarn Trilogy keep it at no1. Currently enjoying Fallen Order. If Favreau and Filoni get into game design though, I’d get divorced.
I think you’re a little harsh on the new Battlefront II. They really removed a lot of the Micro-transactions and within a year it was a completely different, well playing game and extremely fun.
I couldn't believe it was below the first EA Battlefront game. It's better in every way now and has been for a long time. I agree it was terrible on launch, but they did a huge amount to fix it (because they had to because of high profile it became)
Even by the time this video released, BF2 finished it’s content releases and it was SOOOO good by the time the devs finished working on the game. I don’t think these guys actually played the game tbh
I actually very much enjoyed Yoda Stories - as well as Indiana Jones and His Desktop Adventures - for the PC, not the GBC. I got them both at the same time, when I was 9 or 10 in 2000. I remember as there’s “new millennia” memories attached to those memories around that time. I think for a young kid, they’re not _that bad_ but, I should probably try to replay them and see what I think now that I’m 31!
I was actually a contractor working as a GM or as they called it CSR for Star Wars Galaxies for a while until SOE decided it was cheaper to largely move their in game CS team to India. I remember getting another contract in the same building, so when their Rage of the Wookies expansion came out all of the sudden there was an all hands call for anyone who had GM experience to come down and help because people in droves were falling through the world and needed to be rescued lol! So much potential wasted trying to compete with WoW.
in my opinion the problem wasnt that they tried to compete with wow,... they tried to be wow....when they patched the classes out, and made everything "like" wow...that was the straw that broke the camels back....i mean its been a few years but what was it.. 36 or something like that classes down to 12?
I was a massive fan of the story and the gameplay wasn’t as bad as they made it out to be.. I was a huge fan of God of War at the time too so if you’re not a fan of that “hack and slash/ hit x when we tell you to” genre I could see why people wouldn’t like it. And I always wondered ‘how did the rebellion form?’ I thought the writers did an excellent job doing this in a way that makes sense in canon. (Not an easy thing to do)
Great video! Loved the jokes and references, and Peter's impressions of Palpatine. However, I was surprised by how low The Force Unleashed games were ranked, and was aghast to see that Battlefront 2 for PS2 didn't even make top 10, when I was so certain that it would be one of the contenders for the top spot.
I also agree. I have always been a fan of the movies, but never really into the games. I am not a PC player so never got played these games. Friends tried to get me to enjoy them, however to me ( just my opinion) playing with a keyboard and mouse is completely annoying and takes you out of the game. Too many buttons and not enough control. I understand it's a rather unpopular opinion, but it is mine. It wasn't until the lego then force unleashed that I started to enjoy star wars games. There is just too much to these PC games like Kotor, I didn't have the time or patience at the time to play those types.
They were probably going off the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC releases of the game. It’s by far my favorite Star Wars game for the PS2. The gameplay was so much better on that system and the wii version. It’s practically a completely different game in comparison
@@Thorin-MattfromGO all versions were ranked separately. The non-Wii versions were ranked close together with the HD 7th gen console version ranked lower than the 6th gen console version which agrees with your assessment.
You done revenge of the sith dirty here, i know its quite a simple, easy game. But the fact it had the optional ending for Anakin to be the guy to com out on top with obi wans death was such a cool aspect of the game. Aswell as you could 1v1 if you played 2 player, always slaughtered my brother as Anakin lol
I wonder how many people appreciated and caught all the double entendres in Republic Commando, done on purpose, or not. One of the best reviews, in my opinion. You could even hear how it was impossible to stop the double entendres, even when they hit the next entry, Battlefront.
And it's objectively better than the first new Star Wars Battlefront now. It deserved all the criticism it got when it released just as now it deserves all the praise it gets from people who actually take the time to try it.
I respect the hell out of these lists. The amount of time that has to go into researching, actually ranking, writing, recording, and editing is absolutely insane. This is your biggest list yet, and I think it’ll be a difficult one to top, at least, in terms of sheer length. I will always enjoy watching these things all the way through, and I hope you guys keep making them. Still waiting to see you guys rank every Mortal Kombat character to find out if Mokap ranks above or below Bo Rai Cho. In any case, I hope the team at Triple Jump keeps up the incredible work with videos like these. I look forward to the next one!
@@Clay3613 Okay, that’s fair, but I’m willing to cut them some slack for the fact that this whole thing was written by one guy and that there were 100 games he had to cover. Could they have gone deeper? Perhaps, but I will give them credit for going as deep as they did.
Nah dude I dont agree with him. STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT 2 IS WORSE THAN THE FRST ON LIKE TF! If he knew how good the game is now and saw the redemption of the game then he would put this game higher than the first. sure the start wasn't so good with the micro transactions but then they put Ani Obi Grevuos and dooku plus two clone wars maps, They also did stuff for the rise of skywalker movie! SO SHUT UP. sorry I'm just a little mad that game got me into SW so I'm a little sad people cant see how good it is now
@@guruzilla5163 I don’t know why you’re mad at me. I had nothing to do with this video. And like, you liking it is not a problem. I feel its place was more based on what the game represented at its launch with EA’s cynical intentions when it first launched, rather than how it played. If you like it, more power to you, I’m glad you like it. But this is a subjective list written by one guy, and he had to cover 100 of these things, so there were bound to be some things everyone disagreed with. And yelling at random people in the comments because you disagree is not a good look.
@@michaelanderson6394 I love Peter and Ben and they do a fantastic job. I’ve watched this list many times it’s actually really relaxing. And I’ve purchased a number of games as a result of this list. I do agree that they messed it with Battlefront 2. It should be near the top. 2017? Definitely not. But 2020? Absolutely. Also Squadrons was way too low
I really enjoyed the force unleashed 1 and 2, probably wouldnt as much if they came out now but back then, the story was cool and you had never gotten to use force powers like that before. Number 1 in my heart.
It kinda feels like the Battlefront 2 (2017) entry was written by someone who played it on release day and never played it again, and that the Squadrons entry was written by someone who just doesn't care about it and has never played it.
I understand there's a lot of games to get through but a lot of these ranks miss the whole point of some of the games and their key features. Can't really rank much off base level play time
Republic commando is still to this day, my favorite video game. I played it again when they brought it to ps4 and then beat it a 2nd time on hard. I'd love to see more of delta squad
I think the Force Unleashed 2 gets a lot of undeserved hate. Was it as good as the first one? No, but it was still entertaining, and in my opinion, should still make it to the top 20, and the first one is in my top ten.
Same. Really sad to see it so low. Maybe objectively it isnt so good but goddammit me as a kid loved it and played it just as much as I played the first game. Still love it
Agreed. I rarely play games through more than once, but I've been recently replaying both Force Unleashed games. They should both at least be in the top HALF of this list, if not top 20. These reviewers seem to prefer vehicle games though. Pod racing and Tie Fighters over Lightsabers and Force. I'm the opposite.
TFU has many flaws that got never improved, other games are much better at what they do and at being a good SW experience. You can enjoy the way the force works in TFU but that doesn't fix how unplayable the game sometimes can be.
Okay, you lot have clearly not played Battlefront 2 since it came it. The microtransactions are comepletely gone, the gameplay is good and it's actually fun to play
Hurray, it's the game it should've been 3 years ago. I think its ranking is appropriate, considering the maelstrom of problems that both EA and the game had in 2017 alone.
@@MrHawkelement its been a good game since about 2018, you dont say that no mans sky is a bad game becuase they fixed it. Yes you need to take i to account that if wasnt good from launch but its a incredible game now. And you need to take into account ghat aswell
@@josepy_2156 Games like that live and die on their multiplayer, so launch and first impressions are extremely important, because many people don't care if it gets patched; They want what they paid for on launch, which has affected the player numbers of Battlefront 2. If I promise to give you a chocolate candy on the first of December, and instead, you're given a wrapper with chocolate stains, but then three years later, I try to give you a chocolate again, saying "No, I swear this time!" Some will accept it, some don't much want chocolate anymore, because they wanted it 3 years ago.
@Tom FfrenchI Personally don’t stand for games that go “Oh don’t worry about the state of the game now, we’ll patch it later.”. If the developers are going to be that lazy and cheap with their games and prefer to just things issues later, should not deserve my money regardless of how good the game is now. All it does is just encourage other developers to take the cheap and lazy route of game development and testing.
Just because I can't smell the wine coming from the carpet doesn't mean the awful stain isn't there. Its principle at this point. I have a friend who has tried to get me to play it, says the microtransactions are gone, its fun, mostly balanced, real dopamine hit. But im not going to support a game that had the audacity to be made with the sole purpose of squeezing as much money as possible from every single one of its players. Even if the game itself has changed, EA hasn't. The bulk of their money comes from pack openings for FIFA, a recycled copy and pasted game every year that relies on fans spending tons of money in a virtual slot machine to get the best players. Crazy how that's still going on, today, all approved by EA.
I feel like it does bf2 2018 a disservice to not mention all of the post launch love it received. Dice seemingly really put their heart into fixing the game, and I would argue they did a wonderful job. From removing the pay to win microtransactions to reworking and tweaking the game play systems to be less grindy and more fun. Along with a whole heap of content on the way. Its just a shame that E.A pulled the plug on the game this year.
Its more than a disservice. This was an outright lie about the games current state. Either they were so butt hurt that they never returned to the game after launched. Or they simply ignored all of the good DICE did, just to air out their grievances
Agreed. I find it was disheartening to knock the game down solely on the lootbox controversy over other concepts that they use to grade games (graphics, environment, content, game gameplay, etc.).
I actually enjoyed Jedi Academy quite a bit. It was the right game at the right time. I was really getting into Star Wars as a franchise and just cool movies. It was a barebones game with a simple story that was mainly an excuse to visit other planets and fight. It's like a one trick pony that knows how to do its trick so well it doesn't get old.
Jedi Outcast has the better story, but Jedi Academy has the better gameplay. More force powers. More lightsaber combos. More enemy and location variety.
For Revenge of the Sith you forgot to mention the dueling multiplayer! That was actually the only part of the game I remember because it was more of fighting game. Good work on the list btw 👍
I used to have Star Wars Rebellion a long time ago. Being a guy who is more into the strategic aspects of warfare (I'm not good at it, I just like that aspect more), I thought the game was a blast! Winning planets to your cause via diplomacy, building the right number of mines and refineries, keeping that total up so you could maintain your forces, exploration for a good system to eventually build your new superweapon, that was a fun game. It's not for everyone. But if you are like me, give it a go. I'm glad you guys gave it the love I think it deserves (#13). I might not have rated it above the SNES Star Wars and Empire, but it is definitely a game worth playing.
Love how this man just casually talks over Chewbacca shooting boba fetts jet pack, setting him on fire, pulling out the bolt and stabbing Boba with it. Good god THIS WAS A CHESS GAME
I think the part they are not quite getting is that Yoda Stories wasn't designed for long sessions. It was a small program meant to be a quick boredom killer at the office etc. Sorta like how people play solitaire.
Thank you for appreciating Rebellion/Supremacy. It was my introduction to more advanced strategy games, and there weren't a lot of games with that kind of complexity in the late 90s. I'll take ambitious-but-janky over polished-but-safe anyday.
@matt fahringer they are old games. It's worth checking out if you can get past the dated mechanics and poor streamlining. The storys are great though and replay ability is high
Star Wars Empire at War and its dlc forces of corruption are excellent RTS games. Their only major flaw is the pathfinding can be a bit buggy at times and some missions can be challenging but other than that its pretty great. It actually has a huge and active modding community thats keeping the game going and pretty strongly after all these years. Some of the mods even transform it into almost an entirely different game and its very impressive. If you like RTS's its definately worth the checking out.

Fallen Order is definitely my favorite Star Wars game. Also, Battlefront 2 (2017) is better than the first game (2015) minus the ability to pick your map and better maps from the original series. The 2015 Battlefront was met with a ton of criticism over lack on content and the fact that around half the maps were hidden behind a very expensive season pass.
I was confused over what he said with Battlefront 2 since I thought 1 was the one with most the micro transactions. I think they're simply going off metecritic scores.
@@FedJimSmith the older star wars games were so good. Republic commando, Battlefront, Bounty Hunter, lego star wars TCS and Clone wars. I love them. I think everyone should play them
Who forgot Star Wars the arcade game for the 2600 very well done for it’s time going down the trench and the 5200 very well done. Better than the colecovision
I want to love Fallen Order so much but I just cannot. Iv tried to play it several times but the map is an absolute car crash. I never have any clue where to go or what I'm supposed to be doing.
The top two choices are right, switchable dependant on mood :) KOTOR defo a more chilled, varied and immersive experience with a good storyline, with Outcast giving a great action experience with awesome Jedi powers in real-time. Decent story as well, but more of a straight line than KOTOR. Outcast was tough though; Level 2 get your Lightsabre, cut through your enemies with ease for a short while. Then hop out on a ledge and almost instantly get cut in half by snipers which use some weapon Lightsabres don't block. Forces you to use guns again and not for the only time.
I think Fallen Order deserves more credit than it’s given. It’s a beautiful game and interesting enough. It’s just that the story hasn’t been fleshed out enough. But I’m very interested in Cal Kestis
I'm sure that is true, but the game became the poster boy for why EA is terrible. At this point, it is what it is famous, and it will be the game's legacy. If that pisses you off . . . good! Make sure to let EA know how mad you are at them foe destroying the game's reputation in order to prey on whales.
No template. Just LucasArts telling us we had to get the game done in less than a year. BTW, the game's not just "walking down narrow corridors" and it actually has a fight game in it that blows Terra Kasi out of the water, but thanks for the coverage!
Oh man now I realy want to find my Star Wars Rebelion disc again. The game aged really well except for the space battles. I wish someone would make a remake and put the roundbase spacebattle mechanics from BSG Deadlock in.
I feel like you should have mentioned how Revenge of the Sith on PS2 and Xbox also allowed you to either play as Obi-Wan in the final duel against Anakin and end up getting the canon ending, OR play as Anakin, kill Obi-Wan, and get a non-canon alternate ending. I thought that was worth playing it. Granted I was also 12 and not allowed to play similar games like God of War, which was only better due to the violence and the puzzles. Otherwise, they were basically the same type of game to me.
What song is playing right when game number 80# Star Wars The Clone Wars Jedi Alliance Ds comes on? It's a real chill song.. Kinda reminds of Fleetwood Mac.. I really like it 👍
Star Wars has actually had pretty good games compared to the majority of Licensed games out there. Star Wars Kinect is criminally underrated. It is a great dance game with Wierd Al level parodies and the emperor participating in a dance battle. That is hilarious. Yes other parts of the game are basically unplayable but there is some real fun to be had.
Same here 👍#4 is a very divisive title though, just like they said. But for me, that game, with a small handful of pc mods, is my favourite game of all time. It was a bit unfinished in Console form though, I hate to admit.
@@bassman0704 I'm dying to ask, but I won't give any spoilers to the video for those who haven't finished it yet 😄😄 It definitely gave me a couple of favourites too. It's harder to pick characters we don't like rather than ones we do for #4, which speaks volumes to the character lineup's strength 💪

Was also the first time I got into modding of a sort. Custom maps for the multiplayer were really popular in that game.
My personal #1...just edging out KotOR.

On my way to seeing jedi outcast, i had already poured 1000s of hours into it before jka released, those online communities were amazing though
Lol your boy that's funny man
Campaign was merely alright.

I remember as there’s “new millennia” memories attached to those memories around that time. I think for a young kid, they’re not _that bad_ but, I should probably try to replay them and see what I think now that I’m 31!
Preach! Yoda Stories (PC) was no KOTOR, but it was a cheap and fun time. And if you wanna try it today, take a look at Internet Archive.
The Force Unleashed is far too low, especially since most of the things over it are unplayable
(Not an easy thing to do)
It was way better for the PlayStation 2 and Wii, the gameplay is so much more fun and they included extra levels from the Jedi temple

Agreed
I also agree. I have always been a fan of the movies, but never really into the games. I am not a PC player so never got played these games. Friends tried to get me to enjoy them, however to me ( just my opinion) playing with a keyboard and mouse is completely annoying and takes you out of the game. Too many buttons and not enough control. I understand it's a rather unpopular opinion, but it is mine. It wasn't until the lego then force unleashed that I started to enjoy star wars games. There is just too much to these PC games like Kotor, I didn't have the time or patience at the time to play those types.

@@hta1803 Except for Dead Souls because there's a reason why it hasn't been remade or remastered yet
Star Wars Dark Forces in a nice respectful place. Loved that game growing up. Really felt like an adventure, the level design was varied quite a bit
They do... I just picked it up on Steam.
NGL, that "number 100" is really surprised me, then i look at the video duration
1 of your best videos! Now do a version of the video for the Harry Potter Games & The Lord Of The Rings Games! 😍
"Have you heard of Star Wars? It's actually quite good"
Star Wars fan: "No it isn't!"
Y'all should do "Every Marvel Game ranked"
Nearly all of them are shit. Last good marvel game I played was X Men on GC
Rank every Warriors/Musou game. That would make me a very happy boy.
Same, i hope they take the crossovers and spin-offs in account too
also, gotta call some BS on how low Squadrons is. it really made me happy as someone who grew up playing X-wing and Tie Fighter
i never played those games but yeah what they said is bs
Completely agree. The new version of battlefront 2 as well, the main problem they had with it is long gone
They clearly haven’t actually played it instead relying on other reviews, tbf making a list this huge it’s to be expected.
@@MovieTrialers that is fair
Agreed squadrons is one of my favorite star wars games if you play with a VR headset it's still great without it as well
What song is playing right when game number 80# Star Wars The Clone Wars Jedi Alliance Ds comes on? It's a real chill song.. Kinda reminds of Fleetwood Mac.. I really like it 👍
Star Wars has actually had pretty good games compared to the majority of Licensed games out there. Star Wars Kinect is criminally underrated. It is a great dance game with Wierd Al level parodies and the emperor participating in a dance battle. That is hilarious. Yes other parts of the game are basically unplayable but there is some real fun to be had.
Agree! The dance battles are straight up hilarious. It's overall not good by a long shot but watching clips of it cracks me the hell up.
Lego star wars the complete saga will always be my best star wars game in my book❤️
I think battlefront 2 deserves to be further up just from how well it turned itself around
They start talking about good games around the 35 out of 100 mark close to 1:05:00. Would move #4 up though.
Same here 👍#4 is a very divisive title though, just like they said. But for me, that game, with a small handful of pc mods, is my favourite game of all time. It was a bit unfinished in Console form though, I hate to admit.
Agreed. Number 4's writing is just amazing. Plus it introduced one of my all time favorite characters.
@@joshuastedford1670 I'll give you a hint: she loses her hand. When you first see her you think she's dead.
You telling me the vr game aint good?
The beat switch at 42:49 is epic 🤣
