Nightfire was probably the most robust multiplayer experience in a shooter back in the day in terms of modes and coach multiplayer fun next to another excellent shooter, Timesplitters 2, and I had dozens of hours playing the MP.
Timesplitters 2 was the closest game I ever played that was Goldeneye 64. Absolutely loved it.
Nightfire is a really sentimental game to me, loved the levels/sets. That industrial sniping level was class
"James Bond Jr. on the SNES is better than James Bond Jr. on the NES in the same sense that swallowing a nail is better than swallowing a screw, that is to say by no metric that matters"
That got me good, still chuckling
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m so pleased nightfire is so high on the list. It was such a great game - good story and gameplay with a multiplayer me and my mates played for hours
Same here man, the multiplayer was so good!
My friends would come over so I could hit them with odd job's hat across the map.
Same! I had a lot of fun with it with my siblings. Probably our most played gamecube game
Excellent game, along with Agent Under Fire, on the PS2
Nightfire was part of my childhood.
Since you brought up Hitman at the start of this video, what about ranking every Hitman mission? Like, in terms of creativity, the freedom given to you, how fun they are to replay, the stories each one tells, there could be some interesting factors to weigh. Honestly, the “every mission from a franchise” structure can apply to many franchises with a relatively small number of games.
That is going to need a fair amount of research and playing of the Hitman games. I will watch if they do it.
I wonder what will be at the bottom ABSOLUTION
@@zackleburg7429 i would put codename 47 just below absolution because trying to play that game with the idea of the later games is impossible
That would be awesome. Especially since there’s not a single bad Hitman game
Everything Or Nothing was a personal favorite of mine. I'm so disappointed you guys didn't mention the outstanding split-screen co-operative mode which was fun, challenging, and allowed you to pull off "Bond Moments" that were great for their time. This is a game that surprised me and I absolutely loved it.
The co-op mode was so good. Miss playing that with my best pal.
Of course they didn't mention, they DON'T PLAY THE GAMES THEY TALK ABOUT. They just scavenge through metacritic reviews to come up with these. This is why I unsubbed from these guys long ago.
@@laughingseal2282bit silly to expect them to play through all of them while they're also doing research, editing, and also researching, editing and recording other videos and web materials at the same time.
Also they reference several times throughout their videos that some of the games/consoles they talk about are either hard to find, very expensive or both.
Also it's not like they're not transparent about it, they frequently say they use aggregator scores because they don't have time to play them.
Also, if you unsubbed from them because you were annoyed at that, then why are you here?
I honestly just think you're being a bit silly.
"it has the framerate of an art gallery." If the humour of these scripts gets any drier we're going to have to put TripleJump on a saline drip.
i love his sarcastic sassy dry wit though don't make it all wet
@@mikefink7548 "Outside of some unfortunate cutscenes in which Jane Judy Dench is played by this potato..."
Personally for multiplayer Nightfire, but Everything or Nothing for single player campaign.
"Everything Or Nothing" was a masterpiece. One of the best Bond experiences I've ever had in my whole life.
Pleased to see that Rogue Agent has a somewhat respectable position on this list. It's a severely under appreciated game. If you've ever experienced the thrill of mowing down small armies while wielding twin Mag-Rails then you know exactly what I'm talking about.
I've outgrown Rogue Agent, but I did get a few years of enjoyment out of it. The weapons were badass, the MK-2 Detonator being my personal favorite, the different combinations were brilliant, I usually ended up using an HS-90 with a Mag-Rail or Jackal.
Loved the game back in the day, there were a few reviews that were negative towards it.
Huge Bond fan and I've got to say, Nightfire is probably the best (although I do flip between that and Everything or Nothing)
@IronVonz Yup this list is pretty bad.
I just played Nightfire for the first time this year and it was great. The problem with Nightfire is that it doesn't have as many great stealth levels as Goldeneye nor does it have quite as many different ways to play a level, also the soundtrack ain't as good as Goldeneye. The opening level is astoundingly brilliant, I wish more of the game was like this! So for me, Goldeneye still takes it at number 1 but Nightfire is still up there.
Ps, if you have the means, try emulating goldeneye with a mouse and keyboard or try emulating the leaked re-make, they really show that the core of Goldeneye is almost perfect but that the N64 controls have aged the original.
Anyone that doesn't pick goldeneye is a child
@@zacheryhole3294 I wouldn't go that far but people have have actually played Goldeneye and can overlook the original controls will know why Goldeneye is a much better game. Shame about the poor controls though.
@@vDomMusic I do agree by modern standards that controls are pretty trash
Goldeneye 64 still the GOAT. Always has been, always will be. The remaster that got cancelled and leaked on Xbox 360 was awesome and holds up well. Maybe one day we'll see it officially released.
Hats off to the writer on this one.
Almost an hour of great quips, one liners and sick burns.
A very fun watch.
Nightfire was the first bond game that I played and I loved it and thought the gadgets were awesome but I think Bloodstone is my favorite bond game, the driving sequences are like the ones in nightfire but like way better.
If you’re going to take 2 and a half minutes to get to the main part of the video, THIS is how you do it. The commentary and humor are great, reminds me of the way the old Top Gear cast would set up jokes. Good job
Blood Stone and Goldeneye: Reloaded are hideously underrated by everyone, including this list. Neither of them are hugely original or anything but they're both expertly constructed and a blast to play.
Blood Stone felt like I was replaying Splinter Cell Conviction. I'd say it was placed higher than the game merited. Then again, it did have a solid gameplay. So I can see why one would like it.
Goldeneye 2010, personally, is better than Reloaded.
I died at the “James bond impersonator that snapped” line
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. The nostalgia is strong with this one. I have played every bond game from PS1 onward, including most handhelds. Bond will always hold a special place in my heart
The amount of work and research that goes into one of these lists must be crazy. Keep up the great work guys.
Yay! Another ranked list! I love these so much, I watch them again and again.
Triple Jump: “There are a few things you need to do to make a good James Bond game: don’t make it a first person shooter”.
Triple Jump moments later: “First person shooter Nightfire is a great Bond game and our number 2 best Bond game!”.
Great work! The list was superb and the final quote with the Simon reference... Mmua, Cheff kisskiss
Finally, a list of yours where I agree on the rankings, especially the top 5. Well done on this one!
Amazing list tho I love these so much. Keep up the great work!
I needed this today, thanks guys!
Who knew Ben and Mikey worked with Ren and Stimpy?
Glad bloodstone is top 5, may not be perfect but a fun original story and actually having the voice and likeness of the actors make it 10x better something we don’t get much now
I never thought I’d want to play Nightfire again but what did I know, keep up the good work x
I absolutely LOVED the Xbox 360 Quantum of Solace game, definitely doesn’t get the praise it deserves.
I've been waiting for this video for so long
I've been waiting a long time for this list! Thank you!!!
@xannyphantom I've been waiting a long time for you too! Thank you!!!
@xannyphantom Liar, liar your pants are on fire!
29:13 holy fuck. He just massacred that guy with a machete
THANK YOU for making this video.
Well...I completely forgot about the James Bond game boy game until seeing the NPCs flipping the coin 😂
Love them as always, thanks guys. I'm intrigued to know what @Calvin Dyson thinks. Being the massive Bond Fanatic that he is.
My personal favourite is Agent Under Fire as it was my first full experience as a kid and to this day, I still find it easy to play. But it's the story and location designs which really make it unique and my favourite. I hope it gets remade one day or a film adaptation if they go a less grounded route again as cloning is a great plot device and a thing that's being researched a lot more. Plus Malprave deserves a lot more spotlight as the main villain than she got first time around.
Never seen a Bond film and only played Goldeneye, but it's the lads, so thumbs up and let's get watching!
You're mad
@@wesleywolfe2 According to my last Psych evaluation, you're right...
@@OfficialFingazMC took that like a chanp
It was obvious Goledeneye on the N64 was going to be number 1
Goldeneye
Spoilers LOL
Couldn't have put it better at the end there. Can't understate the impact GoldenEye had when it first came out
@@SoyAntonioGaming nope. That's not why. Lol
Yeah the impact of everyone wanting Multiplayer in everything Bond over story. I'm really hoping if IOI consider multilayer, it'll be completely separate from the game at launch so they can focus more on the story like a Bond experience should.
@@SoyAntonioGaming lag, on the N64?
This is an absolutely breathtaking level of not knowing what you're talking about lmao
@@TheHufflepuffSaint the story was a lot of fun in GoldenEye too. 90% of my time with he game was single player.
Nice to see the N64 The World is Not Enough so high on the list. Honestly, probably my favorite due to the multi-player and the overall map designs/aesthetics.
Great video guys👌
I love how pc nightfire literally looks like a counterstrike mod....:D
47:40 „if you don’t like Bond Games why did you watch so much of this Video“ ouch that one hurt me ngl. Great video guys!
These guys are legends. Awesome content.
James Pond: Codename Robocod
Perfection
I absolutely love that game! It remains a favourite to this day!
Purely for the Partridge reference, you now have a new subscriber.
Lovely stuff. Not my words, the words of Shakin' Stevens!
Agent Under Fire, Nightfire, and Rogue Agent were all bangers
The world is not enough kicked my butt when I was young. Man that game was tough.
My pick for #1 would be console Nightfire but man I'm so happy it got recognition it deserved. The multiplayer is absolutely unreal
What is the background music used in this video during the rankings? I've heard a couple of YT channels use it and it's surprisingly catchy.
It’s called stock music
I played Agent Under Fire so many times I had the layout of each level memorized. Such a fun game.
It was my fave bond game with from Russia with love being 2nd
Whenever this video showed Nightfire’s underwater car submarine clip I could literally hear the music being played. Can’t tell y’all how many times I played this game over and over again.
I played the gameboy version way back on the day. I actually enjoyed it.
Still have my copy of Goldeneye. I will say that it has not aged well at all. But I will also say that getting together with your neighborhood friends to see who was the best was a one of a kind experience. Then being utterly destroyed by your friend's older brother was also an experience so yeah.
I reached the opposite conclusion as you did. Played GoldenEye for the first time 3 years ago on the N64 and I found it very fun and the split screen was a blast with my mates. That said, it is not near my favourite fps in general although I wonder if that would have been the case had I played it in my childhood.
Number one: the unreleased remaster of Goldeneye 007 N64 for Xbox Live Arcade.
Good video lads :-) I used to play Nightfire on the ps2 and GoldenEye on the n64 with my brother when I was a kid.
You guys have such (and brilliant) passive aggressive sarcasm on this channel 😝
Nice one boys. Some real belters on this list
Everything or Nothing
Agent Under Fire
Nightfire
Goldeneye
From Russia With Love
Are my favorites
Glad to see them all in the top of the list
From Russia with Love was genuinely one of the greatest video games I had ever played.
Sean is my favorite Bond and spending time with his younger/older self was such a great time. I wish they kept up with Bond games like it but as we know, sales weren’t well.
Idiots
Same that first mission is elite
And when the tank comes through the wall I still remember being like oh fuck
These are fantastic
Solid list. Bloodstone is underrated, Nightfire and Everything or nothing are my favorites. Goldeneye (64) is GOATED though
My two favourites were Agent Under Fire & From Russia With Love, btw nice video!
I was surprised by how low 007 Racing was. Remember a friend of mine had this game as a kid and i remember him really really liking the game
I think they have a professional obligation to rank any game previously featured on WGE towards the bottom.
@@MrBeardsley gonna be real. I missed that episode of WGE
Friend? Yea right. You know you loved 007 racing
Why do these 2 guys' voices sound so alike? 😮 It's like they're brothers.
My soul almost left my body when I saw Nightfire so high till my brain processed the PC version and then I was relieved
Everyone and their grammy know Goldenrye 64 was finna be number one. This game is a legend, and one of the best games of all time.
@Jabroni Destroyer Really now?! How so? And please make this rebuttal sensible.
007 games I've only played Goldeneye in the N64 and 007 Nightfire on the PC back in 2002
007 racing still hurts to this day. For whatever reason I thought it was going to be an actual racing game. Like Mario kart or need for speed but with iconic bond vehicles and weapons/gadgets...but alas it was not to be.
Agent under fire has always been my favorite, I still have it for my PS2.
It's a solid game with tons of charm.
great list guys
So from Russia with love looks like its essentially The Godfather:The Game 007 version.
Oh gosh this list is going to be a wild ride for me
THANK YOU for being the first UA-cam channel to accurately point out that Goldeneye Wii is NOT a remake of the N64 game, but a completely different game that reimagines the movie in a modern setting.
And "Goldeneye 007 Reloaded" is the Xbox 360/PS3 port of the Wii version that runs on the Call Of Duty Engine, and as such the graphics and gameplay are so much more polished and smooth.
It's simply not fair to judge a game like GoldenEye 007 against modern games, just as it isn't fair to judge older classic movies for their special effects against modern movies for their expensive CGI. It makes more sense to judge it against other products of its time. Of course GRAPHICALLY it suffers compared to modern games as software development has progressed vastly since the mid 90s. Gameplay-wise, however, it is still very sharp, a lot of fun, intuitive, clever, and it remains a landmark game deserving of respect from every gamer generation. It belongs at the top of every FPS list and remains the gold standard
"OH YEAH! HERE WE GO! SPY TIME!!!"
The Lazenby movie was obviously Never Too Young to Die
These are the best gaming lists on YT... not a witty comment, I grant you - but a true one.
Great video. How about a worst to best for all the lego games?
I just wanted to say I appreciate every single one of your Butterfield references.
James Bond: The Stealth Affair is a total mess of impossible to figure out puzzles that in some cases make LESS THAN ZERO SENSE! I don't know what Delphine software was thinking but they sure as hell thought it. Amazing work here guys, thank you! I watched this one front to back and I'm very impressed!
I can remember picking up 007 Racing back in the day, I was so excited being a huge Bond fan.
Man was I disappointed when 9 year old me popped that in.....
Anytime I see clips from Bloodstone, I can’t help but gape at its beauty… it just looked and played SO damn good. It still kills me that the sequel, “Risico”, was cancelled mid-development. Especially since they decided to give us the travesty that is “007: Legends” instead 😭
You forgot the most important part of The Duel. As Bond turns left or right he switches his gun to his other hand. If you pause it just right you can freeze on a frame where it looks like Bond has unzipped his fly and has his junk out.
I can't help but feel fhat if someone made a Everything Or Nothing style game today, with updated mechanics. And perhaps larger levels with more replayability. It would be great hit.
The jetpacks in Nightfire were so fun in multiplayer
Hot take but Agent Under Fire had the best multiplayer. I spent hours with my friends playing that game. You could customise every little setting for a match and the grappling hook made the game so much fun. It was like playing a multiplayer Spider-Man game with guns.
It's goated, and I really hope somebody makes some sort of Quake Engine direct port of it with online because I'd play it in a heartbeat.
Tomorrow Never Dies and World is Not Enough on the PS1 were my first Bond games and I absolutely loved them. Best Christmas ever. Never really had many problems with it aside difficulty, what can I say, I was really young at the time. Not as experienced in gaming like nowadays.
Beyond that, Nightfire both PC and PS2, Everything Or Nothing and Blood Stone are all my favourite Bond games. Maybe a bit of Agent Under Fire.
The Casino Royal (mock) stock footage is highly unforgettable. That tiger.
recently realized I own a fair amount of these and not really played any of them interested too see where they all rank
Everything or Nothing is untouchable.
Holy crap yes lets goooooooooo. Watching this at work lmao i love covid
There could only be one and it is a shame that since then there has never been anything in a JB game that has been close to the impact of it.
So many hours spent on GoldenEye with my friends.
Knives in the stack and we all had our specific characters....no blooming Odd Job.
"whilst in stoke-on-trent, you are attacked by a travelling priest"
Sounds about right, Hanley can be a scary place 😂
Here. WE.......GOOOOOO!!!
Bond games are usually fun, can't wait to watch
Whhhaaatttt? Is that you, Dr No!?
Hey could you please do a every spongebob game or every dbz game ? I just think those videos would be nice to watch and would probably be pretty popular for you! Wish I stumbled across your channel sooner but I'm a big fan now thanks for the awesome content!!!
here's my own ranking for what I've played, adjusted for "How good was it when it was new" (aka the "goldeneye was good" clause)
goldeneye > everything or nothing > nightfire (gamecube) > agent under fire (gamecube) > rogue agent (gamecube) > TWINE (64) > nightfire (pc) > quantum of solace (pc) > rogue agent (ds) goldenye remake (ds + wii) > nightfire (gba) > tomorrow never dies (ps1)
if I judged them based on "how much would I want to play them today", the ranking would be... very different...
The fact that Willem Defoe was never used as a bond villain in an actual film is a huge tragedy. That isn's a put down on Everything Or Nothing, more to acknowledge how wonderful Defoe is.
ITs huge tragedy also that EON is not the 5th Brosnan film.
@@DoctorHver Lets not go mad. Not even the Moore era would have had a legion of solid platinum tanks conquering Moscow.
@@BobExcalibur We got version of it in NTTD but poor in comparison to EON game. Speaking of Moore its tragic that we never got video game based on one of his movies featuring his voice.
Hysterical stuff
3. GoldenEye 64
2. Everything or nothing
1. Nightfire
Finally! I'm semi claiming this one, unless someone else suggested it before me, but I'm sure it was me!
19:05 lmao nice for the rocket to load
