This was the top love song in 1978. Nobody could vocalize better than these 3 brothers.
I agree completely
This was the top love song, and not only by then, but even today and tomorrow too.
These fellas have tremendous talent and I loved every minute of this!
He sang this song to his wife who was there. That’s who he’s looking at. They’ve been married now over40 years. Also, they did this song in one take and you just saw it!
Fifty-four years of marriage! ❤ Five kids that always toured with them and seven grands. He always said family first ❤
Not true. This is the studio version on the LP. This is a lip-sync as all music videos go. There is no way they could replicate the many levels of voice on this song on this setting.
I don't know if they lipsynced or not but his wife wasn't there he wasn't singing to her. They're just a very soulful group
It was for charity all proceeds went to unicef
@@elizabethstops2362 no that’s their voices nothing is fake here even the instruments.❤
No one owned the 70's more than the Bee Gee's. The decade was theirs!
This was a number one hit. They donated all the money to UNICEF for the children. I have heard at least 12 million. These brothers are so talented, they all share this wonderful talent. They write all their songs as well as many number one hits for other artist. Singers, song writers, musicians as well as producers. They sing many varieties of songs all great.....How deep is your love....To love Somebody..... Staying Alive..... Night Fever....Lonely Days....How do you Mend a Broken Heart....You should be Dancing....there are 1000s I love the Bee Gees the best group of all time ....Great reaction!!!
Well said 👏
Class of '75, here. We were so damn lucky to have grown up with music of this era. I loved it then and appreciate it even more now. ✌
I’m class of 77
'74 here!
Class of 75 here as well
CLASS OF 1965!! BEE GEES ARE UNMATCHED. FIRE!! HARMANY IS PERFECTION. LOL TO YOU AB & SECRETARY!!
Lol wow
I know at one time, the Bee Gees had 6 songs in the top 10, at the same time. They ruled the air waves.
Lots of people can sing in falsetto, but Barry and his brothers could put vibrato with it as well. Beautiful music.
But they don't sound amazing and true as Barry!
So true Larry.
And harmonize with it. No one did it like the Bee Gees!
Barry and especially Robin was amazing with the vibrato!!
Barry's falsetto was so pure and he has such control. I love his normal voice too. Been listening to them for 50+ years and their style changed with the times and they stayed relevant. i still love them.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The BeeGees are the best group ever.
Yes but with Pink Floyd
No auto tuning…pure talent…this is the UNICEF SONG…They donate all the proceeds to Children’s Charities….which has raised over 11 million dollars…this the exclusive orchestra video
"Stayin Alive", "More than a Woman", "Night Fever", "To Love Somebody". They had 9 #1 hits, so many to choose from. They reigned supreme in the 70's. Oh and yes, this was one of the #1's.
I was going to mention ALLLLLLL of these!!! These songs reign supreme!!
You will really enjoy all of the above! ❤
💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣💣
@@brendahipsher273 Is that 13 Dynamite's? I love it!!
Add "We should be dancing" to that list and im totally with you.
That song is needed today for the whole world
Well said
I was a young adult female, footloose and fancy free. Hitchhiking, joined the army...
These guys were the heart throb of countless women. Barry was the perfect man. And their fame never went to their heads. Humble and honorable❣
That moment when Barry's voice broke your brain. :) I feel so blessed to have been around in the 60's and 70's. Music will never be as great as it was back then.
Being brothers, they all had a similar singing voice, Barry was just a bit stronger in the vibrato, I believe this is why they harmonize so well together. They had a 4th baby brother that had his own solo career going on, his name was Andy Gibb, which if you ever do a reaction vid to "You Should Be Dancing" he joins them on that one, it's all 4 on stage. They were all amazing.
🙏🏾🙌🏾👀🔥🔥🔥🔥
A lot of people thought the Bee Gees were more than human--they were that good. I grew up with them in the 70's. I'm 67 now and I still listen to them everyday. Pure legends.
These men performed more than 50 years before the first one passed in 2003. They wrote amazing music for others too; Immorality by Celine Dion is my favorite. They said in an interview that their mother heard them singing in their bedroom when the twins were just 5 and their mom thought they were listening to the radio!! R. I. P. Robin and Maurice!! Barry, you’re still amazing and thank you for the years of entertainment you and your younger twin brothers gave us!!
This was the vibes that everyone wanted lot of free loving and living life to the fullest. Barry's range is just crazy.
I grew up with this great group. They wrote all their own music for themselves & others. Love their early music especially 60's-70's. Barry has a great falsetto voice. Some of their early hits were "New York Mining Disaster 1941", "To Love Somebody", "Holiday", "Massachusetts", "World", "And The Sun Will Shine", "Really & Sincerely", "Words", "The Singer Sang His Song", "I've Gotta Get A Message To You", "Lonely Days", "I Started A Joke", "Melody Fair", "First of May", "Give Your Best", "Lamplight" etc.
🔥 🔥 🔥 Bee Gees ! Love your reaction ! They were one of a kind! Singer song writer GOATS! Each brother was so talented and lead, you’ve only scratched the surface of multiple decades catalog. Thank you for sharing!
They're actually doing the recording in this video. They're in a studio.
I'm sure there were ALOT of babies made listening to this phenomenal Brothers
Yes, yes, yes!!! Who else can stand around so casually, share one 🎙 and bang it out in one take, like it's no big deal......BEE GEES, that's who!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You've just listened to one of THE greatest groups of all time!!! Just like Home Free is today, the Bee Gees never did a bad song!!! Glad you liked them & love your reaction!😊
AMEN!!!! nothing but the truth :)
Not only was this song a chart topper, it was actually released as a charity single. Proceeds went to the Music for UNICEF fund. The Brothers Gibb are one of my favourite groups and this is one of my top favourite songs by them.
You are my absolute favorite! Oh my gosh the smiles and laughs I get watching your reactions makes my day (and keeps me up too late)… your dancing in this one did it for me lol. You’re the best, much appreciated.
Thank you!
I am 70, we had the best music hands down especially in the 70s and 80s, this is my favorite group and song!! I was a year out of Georgia Tech's 6 year architecture program, when this song came out, but during school we would stay up all night in the huge long glassed building lit up all night in the 70s with all that great music playing.....to keep us awake all night. My Dad was FAA Atlanta and all the airliners used our lit up building alllll night long to figure where they were in the 50s and on from then....and the whole building rocked all night every night, but after the Bee Gees came out with this hit and others, while working in downtown Atlanta at medium to large firms and late into the nights? We were listening to all the greats and Bee Gees at the top of that list!!!!! We had the best radio stations and music as it was uplifting, not depressive like you hear today, it will change your mood for the better with a lot if our music...Enjoy!!! Smiles!!!!
Barry was asked by their manager if he would try screaming during one of singing sessions and it failed fantastically into his falsettos that he is so famous for. He surprised himself! Greatest Band ever!🥰🥰🥰
Not their manager. It was Arif Marden, their producer on the Main Course album.
And it was for the song Night on Broadway. Anf Marden wanted someone to “scream” overtop of the ending. Barry said he’d try. And his fantastic falsetto was born. He had no idea he could do it until then. Also, UNICEF is still getting on proceeds from this song. Last count was over 15 million. The Brothers Gibb were great human beings as well as talented artists
They wrote songs for a bunch of other singers too! Their song Stayin Alive is used for CPR training...perfect timing 😀
Funny. We always used Another One Bites the Dust.
@@geraldclough1099 , I was about to say the same thing . I worked in the cardiology Dept for over 20 years , lol
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Barry's falsetto gets me every time and those harmonies are so tight they cut off the blood circulation 🤣
“I Started A Joke”. It is truly amazing.
Now it's time to check out their baby brother, Andy Gibb. He opted to go solo and eventually was set to join his brothers but he died 5 days after he turned 30. Shadow Dancing, Love Is Thicker Than Water, I Just Wanna Be Your Everything were favorites.
The harmony..killer..they topped all the charts..
This song was a #1 and they gave all proceeds to UNICEF
Over 11 million dollars back then! Now, who knows how much!
That was so sweet of them 😊❤❤❤❤❤
They had 5 decades of writing and #1 songs..Barry is still with us..❤
Real music real singing. No computers or auto tune. Thanks for sharing. Katie 😊☀️🌸
Jive Talkin' was a fun song they did. Would be a great follow up to this. Bee Gees were THE band during the 70s disco era. Barry Gibb is the only one left now. Such a tragedy losing them so young :(
No computers, no auto tune!! Just Bee Gees!!
Yes AB Fantastic fun reaction!! Staying Alive for sure, but the whole Saturday Night Fever album is worth its weight in gold. BeeGees greatest hits too!! The only brother still alive is Barry the awesome falsetto!!
One mic, no autotune, one take, just pure talent you cant find today. I was a discjockey by the time they got these out. From my experience
they are the best. Greets from Finland. 🇫🇮
They were so talented that even if the song wasn't that good they made it a hit. Legends welcome to the 70s and 80s.
In an angry world we need more music like this!!!
Listen to You Should Be Dancing by them, they have a fourth brother on it with them. Just be prepared, you're GONNA DANCE!
No. Andy Gibb did not sing on that track. He came out a few times on their tour to sing it with them.
🔥 🔥🔥An ever lasting Classic 🔥🔥🔥
Fanny
Jive Talking
Staying alive
More than a woman
Night Fever
We were blessed to have grown up in an era listening to this type of music 😎
Enjoyed your reaction very much 😎
Barry's Falsetto is Legendary.
Yes! Stayin Alive!! Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah!
Watch his face. Absolutely GREAT!
I love it when the younger folks see what they missed. Bee Gee's were at the top of their game with this one.
When you got up to start dancing, you missed Barry and Robin's facial expression.
Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 67 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.)
The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris)
Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.)
Robin (Dec. 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012.) Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins.
Barry (the middle) said, 'I'm the last man standing.' He was 75 on September 1, 2021, which was also the 50th wedding anniversary with Linda. They have 5 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Barry's voice is a bit more mellow since he is older, but he continues to perform to sellout crowds! Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins! Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems.
The brothers wrote all of his songs. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78, January 12, 2022. Maurice passed on the same day as her 58th birthday. 😪Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. At about the age of 2, Barry reached on the table and a pot of hot tea fell on his chest and arms. You can see the shine and blotchy spots on his chest. His mom said he did not talk for almost 2 yrs. Skin grafts were not used in the 40s, so he was in the hospital for a long time. His mom said he almost died. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they recorded after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: How Deep Is Your Love? ua-cam.com/video/XpqqjU7u5Yc/v-deo.html Closer Than Close ua-cam.com/video/m6XIdjEHLRs/v-deo.html One ua-cam.com/video/KRUeMgzOCCo/v-deo.html You Win Again ua-cam.com/video/KZY9oYSSjFI/v-deo.html Spirits (Having Flown) ua-cam.com/video/ONmVEJnxysc/v-deo.html Bodyguard ua-cam.com/video/Fx5XwIKCs3o/v-deo.html Emotion (Destiny's Child did a cover on this, but IMO Samantha Sang (original) is MUCH better. ua-cam.com/video/b_wTZjo9azk/v-deo.html At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2. As youngsters, they were so 'busy', that the constable (police) suggested to their parents that should move or they would be placed in a juvenile facility. So glad they moved.
That is a very good bio.
I want to add one more bit of information. The groups name, Bee Gee's, comes from their original name, B.G.'s, which stands for The Brother's Gibb, as Gibb is their last name.
They had such an AMAZING talent!
Love ❤️ all the reactions.. I still get goosebumps every time I hear this song… beautiful..😍
I keep coming back to your channel just to watch your reactions…priceless 👍🏼. Try “Tragedy” Bee Gees 😃
Barry, the lead on this , is still alive and well, still singing!! Maurice and Robin have unfortunately passed.
I could keep listening to this song over and over and over and I never get tired of this song.
You cannot even imagine how many babies were conceived to this song! 🤠
Dude! You have to listen to Staying Alive by the Bee Gees! Still one of their best songs!
Also, after listening to KPop, you need to listen to Maximum The Hormone - Koi no Mega Lover. It'll blow the KPop out of your ears! Don't listen until you're ready to have your mind blown, though lol
Afterward AB could watch the movie Staying Alive.😃
@@kilroygirl7347 Exactly!
They released 83 singles, 22 studio albums, 2 live albums, 4 soundtracks, and collaborated on 13 others. Had over 2 dozen number one hits in 15 countries before coming to the United States. Had 5 songs in the top 10 at one time and wrote two number one hits Too Much Heaven and Tragedy in one afternoon and started a third number one hit, Shadow Dancing for their younger brother Andy Gibb later that evening.
Now I see why I can't get into the present music style, I was raised on this music. Mystery solved😊😊😊😊
One take, no pitch correct or auto tune, just pure voices. The Bee Gees are brothers, Barry, Robin & Maurice who are twins and they had been singing together since they were youngsters.
Please be advised that the Bee Gees were mislabeled as a disco group.
Thanks for your reaction to this song. It's appreciated.
The Bee Gees ....soul fuel❤.They are some of the greatest.Looooove them.
They wrote this song for the charity UNICEF. Today still ALL proceeds go to the charity. This was the very first time in history ANY band did this.
They didn't write it for UNICEF. It was only after the single was released and movving up the charts when they announced they were donating the proceeds to UNICEF.
The Concerts For Bangladesh in 1971 also donateed proceeds and UNICEF administered it.
Bee Gees are legends!!
" In the US, "Too Much Heaven" would become the fourth of six consecutive No. 1s, equalling the record set by Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, and the Beatles for the most consecutive No. 1 songs. The six Bee Gee songs are "How Deep Is Your Love", "Stayin' Alive", "Night Fever", "Too Much Heaven", "Tragedy" and "Love You Inside Out". The songs spanned the years of 1977, 1978 and 1979. All of the publishing royalties on "Too Much Heaven" would go to UNICEF charity. The song earned over $7 million in publishing royalties (some sources say $11 million). In the first week of 1979, preceding the Music for UNICEF Concert, the single first topped the charts in both the United States and Canada. " It is INDEED a FABULOUS and BEAUTIFUL song!! They have a 5-decade catalog! Enjoy!! Can't go wrong listening to anything by them!! LEGENDS INDEED!!
Greatest group ever! 70's when music was great!!!
"To Love Somebody", a pre-disco song they wrote for Otis Redding. Sadly, he never got to record it.
The recorded it themselves before Otis died.
As far as I remember, this voice distortion is called falsetto. Very nice song and interesting performance. Yes, definitely - it's very cool, I'll listen again perhaps.
🔥They were always fire !!
No auto tune pure Talent.
This is what you call "PRICELESS"
Your reaction is priceless, like this music. Being born in 56' I grew up with this, just didn't realize how lucky I was to grow up with this stuff, only concerts I saw... beach boys, guess who, turtles, grass roots, mitch rider, kiss, kenny rogers, Peter Paul and Mary, romantics, Eddie money, bob seager, monkeys, grand funk, all in west Michigan. Peace
The 60’s and 70’s was great for music. Best time to go to concerts. Going dancing was so much fun then. What an era.
MUSIC IS IT’S OWN AWESOME LANGUAGE.
Legends. Absolutely the right word for The Bee Gees. I said in another video the only ones who could touch them were The Righteous Brothers. Now you know why. I was born in 72 and raised on both of them. They are still the bar that any artist, band or ensemble strive to be.
I had the absolute pleasure of getting to see these amazing band of brothers LIVE in 1998. They didn't disappoint. What an amazing show! It's sad that nobody will ever get to see them live again but I'm super proud I can say I did. R.I.P Maurice & Robin 🙏🙏❤❤❤
I loved all their music in the 70's and still sounds great to me! Thanks AB! Going back and listening to all this great classic music in one place is awesome.
More than a woman is my favorite and I lived it in the 70’s!!
You make it fun. Fun to watch, thanks, and they were so different, yes, and real brothers. Don't know how they came up with this style, but it took, lol. Thanks for sharing, was great!
Lol thank you 🙏🏾
For a time, everything they touched turned to gold, for themselves and for others. They had 6 straight number ones, their brother Andy had 3 straight, plus number ones for Yvonne Elliman, Frankie Valli and Samantha Sang.
Oh, my heck! You kill me! 😀
Awesome reaction! The Bee Gees were my group in the 70s
🤣🤣 thank you lol
I was in high school when this song came out and used to dance to it at school dances. It was one of my favorite songs at the time. They were so talented!
Music in the 60’s and 70’s was the best. So much meaning behind the words…pure love songs!
These brothers were out of this world and they wrote all kinds of music 4 others 2 sing and they had a hand in there little brother Andy's career
🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. 60’s and 70’s had some of best music in all genres. Music for everybody. Really enjoy seeing your reaction to all of these types of music. Love the older music so much. Thanks!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I seen them in concert later 70s when they came out with saturday night fever and staying alive. Never forget it.
This song is so good it makes me cry every time I hear it!!!!!
This is a masterpiece. Your in for a huge treat!!! Adore this song.
You probably know this already, but they’re all three brothers they been singing together all their lives and they play instruments. They owned the 70s disco era for brothers through your dad. Only the dude with the nice hairdo in the middle is still alive the younger brother Andy Gibb I think that was his name was making a name for himself on his own till yo deed.
The MOST BEAUTIFUL SONG OF ALL TIME !!! LOVE TOPS ALL!!!
They ruled. Rightly so❤️
They were all brothers. Their music was awesome. My first cassette tape was them.
So many memories listening to them.
Mid'60's to Early '80's Love/Romance Ballads Were Lit, FOR REALIOUS!!
So sooofffttttt, sooo beautiful, pure feeling....3 Angels, perfect voices!
BEE GEES HAVE LOTS OF MEMORABLE SONGS FROM THE DISCO AREA
The proceeds of this song have gone to charity since 1978 when it was recorded for UNICEF an organization to feed children around the world.
Makes me want to slow dance with my love. Bodies close! Beautiful memories!! 🥵
Yes 😊 slow dancing with the one you love.
There you go again! 😂😂😂😂 Incredible reaction!
Welcome to the Bee Gee’s!!! Dive on in!!!!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Excellent reaction to a once in a lifetime song. 🇨🇦🤗🥇🔥
1978 live in the Studio. The wonderful Bee Gees. The Gibb Brothers Robin, Barry and Maurice
One of the finest gifts ever to humanity.
Half the world population was conceived to their music! He BeeGees rock the soul & spirit.
The Bee Gees are legends ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥😍
*AB* ! 🔥 You've done their two most popular ballads. Check out their worldwide #1 hits from the iconic disco film Saturday Night Fever: Night Fever, Stayin' Alive, More Than A Woman...as well as You Should Be Dancin' and Tragedy, which are phenomenal!
Their live performance of the year 1979,1989,and1997were really stunning...🎉❤ don't miss them ❤🎉😊
Yup - LEGENDS! ;) Thank you for recognizing it :)
