Yes indeed ....the short disco era. Every one clubbing all over the place. In New York City it was Studio 54 lighting it up Every weekend if not every nite.
Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 67 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Robin (Dec. 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012.) Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Barry (the middle) said, 'I'm the last man standing.' He was 75 on September 1, 2021, which is also the 50th wedding anniversary with Linda. They have 5 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Barry's voice is a bit more mellow since he is older, but he continues to perform to sellout crowds!! Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins! Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78, January 12, 2022. Maurice passed on the same day as her 58th birthday. 😪Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. At about the age of 2, Barry reached on the table and a pot of hot tea fell on his chest and arms. You can see the shine on his chest. His mom said he did not talk for almost 2 yrs. Skin grafts were not used in the 40s, so he was in the hospital for a long time. His mom said he almost died. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they recorded after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: How Deep Is Your Love? ua-cam.com/video/XpqqjU7u5Yc/v-deo.html Closer Than Close ua-cam.com/video/m6XIdjEHLRs/v-deo.html One ua-cam.com/video/KRUeMgzOCCo/v-deo.html You Win Again ua-cam.com/video/KZY9oYSSjFI/v-deo.html Spirits (Having Flown) ua-cam.com/video/ONmVEJnxysc/v-deo.html Bodyguard ua-cam.com/video/Fx5XwIKCs3o/v-deo.html Emotion (Destiny's Child did a cover on this, but IMO Samantha Sang (original) is MUCH better. ua-cam.com/video/b_wTZjo9azk/v-deo.html At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2
Honey, this was from the day when there was no auto-tune or any gimmicks. That's pure talent, and a lifetime spent singing together. They're brothers, the two on the side are twins, both deceased, sadly. Real voices. Maurice also wrote the song, and they donated the proceeds to charity. A class act, all the way. Not to mention gorgeous.
All of the brothers had perfect pitch and despite writing hundreds of hits and playing instruments, none of them could read music. They gifted this track to UNICEF and it's made millions for the charity. I'm sure someone has already told you that the twins on either side of their big brother, have both passed and so has their younger brother called Andy. You will find some old black and white film from the very early days. Enjoy this rabbit hole. It's probably the longest ever
This is pure talent. It's their real voices. They had such impressive harmony because they are brothers. Barry Gibb is the only one still alive unfortunately. No autotune here.
Michael jackson said he cried when he heard them for the first time in early 70s. 3 English brothers who grew up in Australia before returning in late 60s. They started in 1958 when kids, have written all their own songs for themselves and others. Welcome to the rabbit hole! 40 + year career. Try Staying Alive.

This is real. Most talented group ever. Wrote all of their music , incredible voices and musicians. Wrote many songs for other artists. Highly recommend you review more of The Bee Gees!
There is a story that they were stranded in an airport with all planes grounded for some reason. The rest of the stranded passengers started to get restive so they got up and started singing acapella. They sang hit after hit after hit in an airport lounge for the entertainment of the passengers. They were that good and had that many huge hits. True legends.
I have watched several "first time" witnessing the Bee Gees and I find it hard to believe that this many people have never heard of them before. AMAZING
I believe there are this many people who have never heard the Bee Gees before because after the "Disco Demolition" night that they were not played here in the US for decades! The only reason my kids know of them is because I have played them over and over again. However, none of their friends and none of my grandkids friends have ever heard of them. The Bee Gees have just recently seen a resurgence into the music world as artists have begun remaking their music and Barry has remade many of their songs on his album "Greenfields".
"First Time Hearing" reaction? He's singing along less than a minute after they start singing. Knowing the lyrics of a song you've never heard before is a talent indeed...
I have never heard of a human being alive that has never heard one of the Bee Gees songs. I am so glad that you listened to this. In my opinion the Bee Gees are the best most beautiful vocalist and the most talented songwriters on the planet. Their harmonies their voices their lyrics their personalities are perfection in my eyes.
I have loved Barry Gibb since the 70's . But you know what I really love? All these love songs he wrote were for his wife...to this date he has been married to her for53 years. Now is that too much heaven?I am so sad his other brothers have passed. They had so much soul and love.
They are 100% authentic!! No auto tune. Try "MORE THAN A WOMAN" and "FANNY, BE TENDER WITH MY LOVE" ... they wrote all their own music, and for many others. They're from Australia.
They are three brothers, and those are their real voices. They wrote this in 1978, for UNICEF, and 100% of the proceeds from this song still go to that children's organization today.
This recording is actually 27 tracks overlaid. Barry (the oldest brother in the middle) laid 18 tracks solo and then a further 9 with his 2 brothers. He did his vocals one take for each one, no guide track and no re-takes. The producers had never seen anything like it. Genius at work.
100% real voice is no autotune. I don’t even think they had autotune back there. Quincy Jones said they were the best harmonies ever and he don’t think I’ll ever be another group to match them
I grew up listening to the Bee Gee Brothers, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! All three brothers had amazing falsetto's, however, Barry Gibb, in my opinion, has the most unique falsetto, because in his falsetto, he also used his vibrato, which is rare! They span over many decades, & crossed quite a few genres, so if you choose to go down this rabbit hole, you will have a terrific journey!! I believe, that if there is music in Heaven, it would sound like the Bee Gee's ❤️❤️❤️
No tricks, just three brothers who've sung together since they were little boys. And the one on the right wrote all their songs. They donated all the proceeds from this song to UNICEF children's fund. Very special people.
You might want to check, but Robin did not write all their songs 🤔... As a songwriter, Barry shares with John Lennon and Paul McCartney the record for most consecutive Billboard Hot 100 number ones, each having six. In total, Barry has written or co-written sixteen Billboard Hot 100 number ones. Guinness World Records lists Barry Gibb as the second most successful songwriter in history, behind McCartney.
This was my first time sitting in with you today! Thank you for allowing me to do that! I really enjoyed your reaction to the Brothers Gibb, the Bee Gees! I subscribed and left a big like for you! That's what we thought when we first heard them too, that they sounded beautiful! great reaction! I love it when Barry hits that falsetto and your heart lifts high!
When they sing.....you never want the song to end......angelical...spiritual....unbelievable beauty for the ears. They were simply..... AMAZING. GOD GIVEN TALENT.......no auto tune....no tricks....just TALENT. Check out the righteous brothers too ....unchained melody to start with....it was a solo....and then any of their duet songs after that.
@@Fremen1971 Agreed, love all their voices, Robins especially. Barry is wonderful in this though. I didn't realise the vocals were layered in this song though, I thought it was just recorded once with the three of them. But they sung different parts multiple times which were then amalgamated to make a fuller, richer sound.
@@Fremen1971, Robin had a vibratto, which in of itself is quite unique by himself. Yet, with the rest of his brothers combined was sheer heaven to listen to.
They’re brothers (Barry middle and fraternal twins Robin and Maurice -pronounced Morris on either side of Barry) and very much in sync. They’ve been performing together since they were kids. And no voice dubbing. And it’s these three, though they did have a younger brother Andy who had a short singing career on his own. But he did sing with his brothers occasionally. He couldn’t handle the fame like his brothers did and died young. The Bee Gees have an older sister Leslie who never sang as far as I know.
It is incredibly difficult to use a vibrato in falsetto but Barry made it look easy. For a listen to their ranges I'd take a look at Nights On Broadway and Fanny Be Tender. While recording “Nights on Broadway,” producer Arif Mardin asked that someone harmonize while screaming in the background, Maurice remembered. That was the first time Barry sang falsetto. “I was thinking, my god, where is this coming from? I can do this. My whole life I never knew I could do this,” Barry joked. They've been performing since the 50's but didn't become The Bee Gees until the 60's. They ranged from pop to R&B to disco. Outside of their falsettos all 3 brothers are fantastic tenors with Barry being able to hit in the upper baritone range as well.
YES, were their real voices - and YES, they sounded just like this in concert. Perfection. So in sync it almost sounded like one voice, especially Robin and Barry ("King of the Falsetto" - center). You will NEVER again hear this kind of flawless, tight harmonies as the Brothers Gibb. Your reaction, is on-target, being amazed by what you've heard. Good news - There's SO many more songs. Try "Nights on Broadway" - Midnight Special video - that's LIVE, guaranteed. Keep listening...You'll become a fan of the Bee Gees easily as I did in the 1970's!
This is one of their most beautiful songs but yes that is their voices. They had some other songs Staying Alive , Dancing it was so good check them out. This act here I watched on TV it was for a charity amazing singing amazing men.
My friend do you have fallen into the Bee Gees rabbit hole. There are so many songs but to start with try listening to Fanny be tender with my love, words, how can you mend a broken heart, I surrender, how deep is your love, and run to me. That’ll get you started.
The brothers have been singing together since kids. Born on the Isle of Man then family moved to Manchester then migrated to Australia. Barry is sadly the only one left alive. He lives mainly in Florida, but still has a house in UK too.
It’s called music. Real music has a conversation with your soul. The voices are real. No auto tune back then, just pure God given talent and true creative artistry.
Theyre using falsettos, (forced high notes) and no there is no autotune. This group is iconic. They had 100 top ten hits and wrote songs for a long list of famous singers (such as Celine Dion Diane Warwick Diana Ross Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton the list is too long) who knew they would have a hit with what they were given. And they all did.
The Bee Gees were the greatest ever! Their music touches your heart and soul!! Watch Fanny be tender with my love! Incredible song; but I warn you; you are going down the rabbit hole!!! Enjoy the ride!
Three brothers, harmonizing into one mic, a live orchestra, one take, no auto tune! Just magic, pure talented magic! Stayin Alive, How Deep Is Your Love…dozens of hits!
The 70's and 80's produced by far the best performers not just the Bee Gees even though they are great. Check out AC DC, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, ABBA, Metallica, The Carpenters and the list goes on. We don't have anyone even close today.
Musicians back in the day were just pure talent. They gave the people a piece of themselves and you feel it deep in your soul on a cellular level. It's pure talent. Thank you for keeping our music alive
And that’s just a taste of them play there was 4 🐝🐝🐝Gees but 3 have died only Barry left he’s 75 now and still writing music plus he has 4 sons all do music plus Robins lads &maurice daughter all lovely music artists he lives in Miami with his wife of 50 yrs Linda He is now Sir Barry Gibb the one in the middle of the video hope this helps you hun
Barry and MJ wrote a song together in Barry's home studio in Miami. It was never released but is on UA-cam. Barry is older. His voice is rough in the song. However, it is a beautiful song! Bee Gees were good friends with Michael. MJ is Barry's son's Godfather. His name is Michael Gibb! Also, check out the latest Bee Gee Documentary that just came out on HBO. It is amazing and up for 6 Emmys!
If you would be interested in the hearing the extent of Barry's vocal range, Might I suggest "Winds of change Live 1976" and "I could not love you more". Picking a favorite BGs song is like trying to pick your favorite child lol
This group, our musical geniuses!! You got a lot of songs to learn! I'm 56, years old I've been listening to them since as I was 11. They are my favorite group of all time. Forever and ever!! Musical geniuses!! There's actually four brothers, three of past passed on way too early. Andy had his own solo career. Enjoy!! You're going to love their music love
The brothers Gibb. They also had a 4th brother who performed solo, named Andy. Same voice. Family is amazing. They have a ton of hits. Many were showcased in the movie 'Saturday night fever' with John Travolta. Also check out 'Stayin' alive' another great tune. They made tons of disco hits.
Nothing better than family harmonies. Singing together since the early 60s when they were so young. Prolific song writers, all they sing, they wrote. And you would be shocked at home many songs they have written for other top artists over the years.
Watch the documentary that came out last year. “The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart”. Barry (that gorgeous falsetto voice) is the only one left of the brothers. He’s in the movie and you feel the joy, pain, and sorrow, as well as appreciate their ridiculous talent. Singers, musicians, songwriters. Over decades they wrote hit after hit after hit. Enjoy!
The three brothers are simply angelic. This is way before auto tune - it’s all them. Their harmony, range and song writing skills are second to none. You have started down the Bee Gee rabbit hole, my friend. Check out Fanny Be Tender and Nights on Broadway.
You my friend have entered the Bee Gee world! I don’t know that there is a song that they’ve ever saying that will let you down. They’re amazing songwriters! Barry is the oldest one in the middle and the two on either side of him or fraternal twins, Robin and Maurice. Their younger brother Andy died in the 1980s. And he looked a lot like Barry and sounded like him as well.
Love your reaction, you gotta keep going!!! I am a 56 yr old grandmother and love, love, love them and have only recently come across a few I have never heard as life got in the way and was too busy I guess. It's become a hobby for me to watch Bee Gee's reaction videos early morning when it's quiet. "For whom the bell tolls", "love so right", "fanny be tender with my love" are a few just recently discovered by me, and all their music is so amazing. Have loads of fun!!!
L to R: Robin, Barry and Maurice. The Brothers Gibb. Australian natives. Very unique group of ‘Saturday Night Fever’ & disco era of the 70s. Barry (center/lead vocal) is the only surviving member and lives in Miami, Florida. Be sure to check out his album with Barbara Streisand, ‘The White Album’!
The world could be a happier place with beauty and soul like this. The world has many colors and these Bee Gees show there us a God who loves every one.!!!
They are absolutely great. I was around as they became famous and have literally listened to hours and hours of such beautiful music. They are brothers and have sang together since they were 6 for the twins Robin and Maurice and Barry was 9. So much talent. There is a HBO documentary called How to Mend a Broken Heart which tells of their lives from childhood. Great reaction I could see you could feel it.
Yes it is , one of the best bands in my day. They are brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice, Barry is the only one living. They wrote all their music. I’m sure you’ve heard their song Staying Alive
Been a fan since the mid 60s. They have gone through many phases in their careers and have so very many songs that are all jewels. Barry the eldest, the twins Robin and Maurice blazed a path which inspired their baby brother Andy who had his own brilliant career. Unfortunately, Andy died in 1988 and later Maurice in 2003, followed by Robin in 2012. It is tough watching Barry speak about them in past tense but any of the documentaries of them are worthy of your time. You must look at some of their early videos. Enjoy!
You will have heard their music but never realised, not only did they have a huge catalog of music but wrote a huge amount of music for other singers. No auto tune for these guys just huge natural talent. Listen to World their is a part in it that will send shivers down your spine, I have heard it hundreds and hundreds of times and still get goosebumps.
General step-by-step reactions when someone hears this song for the first time: 1. No. This can't be real. 2. It is real! 3. This is unbelievable. 4. This is a masterpiece.
I'm 58 years old and I love the beautiful music that we had back in the 60 s through the 80s. Today's music doesn't give you that loving feeling as the music from back then. We were blessed who got to live through that. I am glad to see more young people on this journey with this music.
There are really good documentaries you can find on UA-cam that covers their lives and how they got started. Well worth your time. They have been singing together ever since they were small boys. And there was another brother named Andy Gibb who had a solo career. Unfortunately, the only surviving member is Barry, the lead singer. 🙏🏻😞
Being a teen-ager in the 70's was sooo great. We had the best music!
Indeed. You had the best of the best.
Rose55 I would say 60s and 70s for sure. There is some good music today but there was ALL good music then
Yes indeed ....the short disco era. Every one clubbing all over the place.
In New York City it was Studio 54 lighting it up
Every weekend if not every nite.
We had the best, for sure! No auto tune needed, just pure talent!
You seem to have to dig deeper these days for anything close to this.

It does my heart well to see younger people react to the masterpieces we had back in the 70s. No one could harmonize like the Brothers Gibb. NOBODY!!
Wouldn’t it be amazing if they could see the reactions to their songs
AMEN BABY!! 5 decades of amazing harmonies!!
Amen to that 🙏

They’re brothers (Barry middle and fraternal twins Robin and Maurice -pronounced Morris on either side of Barry) and very much in sync. They’ve been performing together since they were kids. And no voice dubbing. And it’s these three, though they did have a younger brother Andy who had a short singing career on his own. But he did sing with his brothers occasionally. He couldn’t handle the fame like his brothers did and died young. The Bee Gees have an older sister Leslie who never sang as far as I know.
They gave all the royalties of this song to the UNICEF Children's Charity!
They’re 3 brothers who started preforming in the early 60’s.
You can beleive it young man its the real deal.. Pure raw God given talent.
BeeGees = 3 brothers who wrote 100s of songs. Saturday night fever they done the songs and music. They were best live and always sounded perfect.
The Brilliant Bgees...all live..no auto queue
4 songs.....hahaha
Bee Gees are awesome. I grew up with their music and yes, those are their real voices. Check out other songs and you will be amazed!!
This is one of their most beautiful songs but yes that is their voices. They had some other songs Staying Alive , Dancing it was so good check them out. This act here I watched on TV it was for a charity amazing singing amazing men.
Pure talent
Sadly robin and maurice are no longer with us RIP
The other brother Andy also passed way too soon...
Now you no why they are the best yes it’s the real McCoy 🐝🐝🐝Gees
My friend do you have fallen into the Bee Gees rabbit hole. There are so many songs but to start with try listening to Fanny be tender with my love, words, how can you mend a broken heart, I surrender, how deep is your love, and run to me. That’ll get you started.
The BEE GEES were the best. No one has ever topped them. This is their real voices and they wrote all their own music.
No one can harmonize like family members...these brothers were the best!
In a way that others like the Beach Boys, Mamas and Papas, or later Boys to Men could not do. Genetics made a difference.
That's the way we did it in the 60s and 70s..no autotune... it's live.
And back in the day no such thing as auto tune…just talent
Sooo true! Wish everyone could listen&understand!
There were ways of fixing bad singers back then too
They are brothers. The two on the ends are twins. The one in the middle is the older. They have been singing since they were little in the 50s.
This is how angels sing. ❤️🇬🇧 Thank you.
Perfect harmony in their genetics being brothers. They were the best.
That is their voices WITH NO AUTO-TUNE!!!!!
check out "More than a woman" "Love you inside out" "You should be dancing" "Night fever" "Jive talkin" "Stayin alive" some other great songs by them
Don't forget "Nights on Broadway" or "Fanny Be Tender"!! Everything is Awesome!!
And older hits back to mid 60s
No voice overs. Pure talent
The Bee Gee's were famous in the 1970's. They are brothers. They are from England. They had hit after hit for the whole decade. 7-30-2021
Three brothers, harmonizing into one mic, a live orchestra, one take, no auto tune! Just magic, pure talented magic! Stayin Alive, How Deep Is Your Love…dozens of hits!
1958- Barry, Robin, Maurice Gibb, Younger brother also Andy- he was Solo
The 70's and 80's produced by far the best performers not just the Bee Gees even though they are great. Check out AC DC, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, ABBA, Metallica, The Carpenters and the list goes on. We don't have anyone even close today.
I was never a big BeeGee's fan, but after watching all the reaction videos on them, I have a whole new appreciation for their music.
You have to listen American reactions to decide they were good..really ?
Musicians back in the day were just pure talent. They gave the people a piece of themselves and you feel it deep in your soul on a cellular level. It's pure talent.
Thank you for keeping our music alive
Bee Gees
Nights on Broadway
100% their real voices!
Real voices!!🎼
It was the 70’s. I miss those days. These guys didn’t read or write music, they felt the music.
A number one hit and they never made a dime to date.. all proceeds have gone to Unisef....
They’ve been singing together since 6 years old.
They are brothers the one singing the high notes is Barry Gibb
Nights on Broadway. Absolutely incredible.
This is their real voices
Real voices no auto tune in those days! They have an incredible catalogue , it’s a huge rabbit hole!
Best harmony & vocal band that has ever lived ! Bee Gees !! Never be beaten !! Never !
Enjoy!
yes, Netflix, The Beegees, How do you mend a broken heart........,great documentary....
By the way - what a perfect song for your introduction to the Bee Gees! One of their absolute best, in my opinion.
I so agree.
E.c
The best 3 voice harmony ever!
They're for real and have been for 50 years. Perfection in vocals and harmonies.
Dont cry youll be alright
Its their real voices. Luv yur reaction. Please listen to more of this phenomenal brothers. I promise u will NOT be disappointed
Enjoy!
These men are amazing
You will have heard their music but never realised, not only did they have a huge catalog of music but wrote a huge amount of music for other singers. No auto tune for these guys just huge natural talent. Listen to World their is a part in it that will send shivers down your spine, I have heard it hundreds and hundreds of times and still get goosebumps.
General step-by-step reactions when someone hears this song for the first time:
